Until enough attention has been brought to this that we can move it to the DWM and not suffer in activity for it, this thread will be used as a place for people to sign up for RP genres, and suggest RP's in Barton Town that fall into those Genres, much the same as has been done in this thread. Simply state what kind of RP you're looking for, (Action, adventure, romance, modern, sci-fi... what have you.) And try to get others to join you in your quest. Once you've got a few folk together, try to find a suitable RP. If you need any examples, the above thread should do it.

Posted this is in the other thred, then realized it should be here. Oh well. Anyways, this is my Rolpelay Preference List.
Roleplay's that I love:
Apocalypse Roleplays: (most of em)
Zombie Roleplays (Total apocalypse or non)
Kiddie Warfare (Type of warfare like Grade Wars or Boys vs Girls type of thing. Y'know, the type where no one really dies.)
Pirates (Pokes his own guild) (Past to Future)
Roleplay's I'll do (And probably enjoy)
'Powers' roleplays. (Usually these are also warfare, but, eh)
Warfare roleplays; Past or Present.
Cafe Roleplays (These are what I started out on, actually. Tis where I learned to not use Asterisks for actions)
Some school roleplays (as long as it's not obviously a despie board, otherwise I might have to Kirby it. Repeatedly. Without mercy.)
Roleplays I wouldn't touch with a 40 foot pole.
Romantic threads. (I just can't understand that stuff. No sense in making a fool of myself)
MOST roleplays based on a book. (((Usually these turn out terrible. Yet to see one with a good twist. Will look at 'Inheritence' series threads though...)))
ALL roleplays based off of a movie. Never seen one that worked. Ever. Period.
ANY of the despie, pre-teen crap that girls post hoping to get some damned 'Internet Action.' Screw them all...

Aye I'm looking for a roleplay that has magic at the moment as well. And room for a pirate type character. Mostly because of two character ideas I have, but one will get used in a couple of days.

Nxe, you should check the one in the RPHaven. Not sure if it's your style, but it seems to fit your criteria alright.
Also, for me...I'll do most any type of RP. However, I'm really picky about the actual story that I join in. So, anything that anyone suggests, I'm down for taking a look at and possibly trying.
Also, I draw the line at semi-lit or literate. Preferably literate, since semi-lit usually includes those with retardation and poor grammar, neither of which I'm fond of and both of which will cause me to stop posting in a story if I have to interact with characters like that.
Just saying.
What I won't do?
Most series/tv type stuff. Anything where I have to be younger than 18. Anything to do with High School. Pretty much anything real-world unless there is an awesome not-so-realistic twist or something.
Other than that, anything goes for me. I'm trying to branch out of my norm and do things I'm not used to. I prefer anything with magic, not a fan of guns but if I have to I'll use them, I like slave/master RP's (shutup you), and...yeah. Anything violent with a hint of romance is nice too. But, as I said, I'll do pretty much anything.
Now that I'm done repeating myself, I'ma go do other stuffs now. Kthxbai

Say I am interested in joining that particular roleplay, though it seems fairly full, unless hes is going to allow multiple ships, should I PM them asking for permission to advertise for our guild before or after I send my profile in.

I have no idea. That's something you'll want to ask Wielder about.
Also, I think she's going to allow multiple ships, but I'm not sure on that either. May very well just leave it at those two in the beginning. Though, to be honest, people are being really slow with getting their profiles in on the bounty hunter side of things. neutral

The best thing to do is to explain exactly what's going on, first thing. Here's a copy/paste of what I sent to our first client: Wielder My name is Wielder, and I'm 2nd in command of the Gaian Mercenary League. Previously, we sold our RP skills for gold. This did not work well. We have recently changed our tactics to being more akin to "Good Samaritans," In that we find RP's with few members, and join them as a group. We are also willing to advertise them once we've joined. The reason I'm telling you this, is because I have five others behind me who may wish to join your Yakuza RP, "Tokyo Underground." We're still deciding which RP to take, but yours is a candidate. To clarify, this comes at no cost to you or anyone. One thing, though. The changes in our tactics are recent. VERY recent. As in, this is the first time we've done this in this way. So, should yours be chosen, please know that we might have a couple of bugs. I can't imagine what they'd be, but that's why I think they might be there. That in mind, the only condition of our joining is that you allow us to advertise our guild a little in OOC. We're always looking for new members, and new RP's that need RPers. We won't mention it when in-character, because that would just be rude, and wouldn't have any place in the plot. Furthermore, if you have any particular requests as to what we should do IC, feel free to ask. The countercondition of the above is that, should you ask, we'll have our characters do whatever you want. This helps to ensure that the plot stays as you imagined it when you typed up the initial posts. Now, if any of that is something you want to avoid, please tell me, and we can take care of it. Or, if you'd rather we just don't join (We won't be any hassle) just tell me, and it won't happen. Well I already sent in my profile to the person who started the story. I wouldn't mind sending the letter too, afterwards, but for now I really don't have time for that. If nobody else does it by tonight, though, I guess I can do that.
