Kali's Information Full Name: Kalila
Name Meaning: Jakeb claims he composed the name to mean "little Kali" or "little black one".
However, Kalila also means "darling" or "beloved".
Age: Unknown, though she's obviously in the toddler stage.
Quirks: Chewing on things (esp. shoes), biting when she doesn't get her way, growling or hissing to intimidate others. She apparently purrs? She loves to chew on shoes or anything made of leather. If she encounters a yappy dog, she'll chase it and try to bite its tail.
Early Personality: Evil. Kali's incredibly mischievous. She loves to irritate people, especially adults, and her favorite method is by destroying their shoes. However, she's not very picky - sometimes she will settle for a leather couch or chair. Her numerous, pointy teeth seem to always be chewing something. One person she hates to be upset with her is her self-appointed guardian, Jakeb (but this might just be because he threatens to make all the shoes disappear when she doesn't behave). Despite her trouble-making nature, Kali is actually pretty friendly towards fellow shadows, though she tends to not get along with others for very long.
Developed Personality: After living with the uptight Brit Jake for some time, Kali becomes just a bit less mischievous and begins to see the positive things that can come from being nice to others (mainly adults). It's also quite hard to plot when your guardian can choose to hear your every thought - and he's ALWAYS listening. Kali also becomes inexplicably attached to Jake's girlfriend.

Career: Former NICU pediatrician - runs his own private practice now.
Social role: The resident baby-parent counselor & advice-giver.
Power: Clairvoyant, mostly clairsentient. Jake can read a person's past, thoughts, and intentions by merely 'listening'. He generally tries not to use this part of his abilities, as he feels like he's intruding into people's lives by doing so and has had some very negative reactions to it in the past. His powers are significantly strengthened through physical contact.
Description or image: Exactly 6 feet tall and significantly more broad-shouldered than his older brother. Jake has naturally snowy white hair that he keeps at a respectable length (that is - just above his collar, though it tends to obscure his eyes slightly). His eyes are a piercing, icy blue - almost the same shade as the sky on a perfectly cloudless day. The shade of his skin is a very light tan, just enough to give him a healthy look. His hands are lightly calloused and muscled, his fingers long and nimble. He often sports some light gray scruff on his days off.
Personality: Jake is the type of person that someone would call an 'old soul'. He has wisdom and insight uncharacteristic of even those his age. However, he's still somewhat socially awkward, especially with those older than himself. He spent much of his childhood in England and returned later to attend medical school, so he retains many British mannerisms - including a slight tendency to resist physical affection. Slow to laugh but quick to flash a warm smile, Jake is an incredibly warm, friendly, and caring person. Unfortunately, he comes across as being just a bit too straightforward. He adores children of all ages and they usually tend to like him in return. Sometimes parents don't like him as much, but he doesn't let it bother him. Sadly, Jake doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humor, though he sometimes chuckles at Kat and Gavin's antics, though Gavin's melodramatics usually earn an eyeroll.
