I found a really interesting real-world scenario that you might be able to work into that Rain survival game you were talking about.
Provided this doesn't happen, of course. Cause if it does we're all ******** anyway.
You know how the guy put the cure for cancer into the rainclouds? Maybe they let him do it before it was perfected because they were on the brink of a crisis like this one.

otawara Thank you very much. I live RIGHT NEXT TO THIS ******** THING. >:C Switch me places then. I'd rather sink on day one than die slowly of methane poisoning.

No thanks, this ship sinks with me on it.
Florida was doomed to sink anyway.

Skaeryll Some how I knew this would be what the topic was about. What do you think though? Doomsday is a pretty solid theme right now. And there's nothing more terrifying than something that could actually happen.

otawara Thank you very much. I live RIGHT NEXT TO THIS ******** THING. >:C I am kind of thinking this too.
But I also don't worry about things I can't fix myself, so I am not letting myself be concerned.

If the methane gas really IS so dangerous, then releasing it gradually (as BP is doing) is BETTER than keeping it bottled up until a "massive planetary explosion" occurs. It's like a safety valve on a boiler. Also.
