The white lioness walked quietly through the desert. It had been quite awhile since she had run into another... or at least she thought it had been. As she walked "Itzel...... Itzel.... Itzel" she mumbled to herself as she walked, she had been trying hard to remember her own name. It was the one thing she had to be proud of the lioness did indeed know her own name.... most of the time.
As Itzelt wondered she tried to search her empty mempry for something anything else about her past, but it was just a blank. She felt as if perhaps she was leaving something behid but she had no clue what that something might have been. So the white lioness kept walking, no direction in mind. As she walked she felt the need for water so she sniffed the air around her, looking for the damp smell of water. Catching the scent she was looking for she began to set off in the direction it came from.

Ilyas sighed - he'd been out here alone for a while, now. Zeki had broken off, the pair had gone their separate way after staying together initially. They'd agreed a meeting point - a place where they'd both meet, once they'd captured their Banu. It had been a while now, though, and he was worried that he'd be keeping Zeki waiting forever. And his mother - his poor mother was going to be worried out of her mind, he was sure. Especially since the pair had agreed to return together, so neither would return until the other had found his Banu.
Suddenly, in the distance, he spotted a pale shape. Frowning, he moved towards it, and it quickly became apparent that it was a lioness. A lioness that...looked rather lost. Perhaps this was...a change of luck? Quickly reaching her, Ilyas smiled as charmingly as he could manage, although true to form, he still looked pretty goofy. "Are you alright there?"

Itzel raised her head when she heard someone approaching her. She looked around to make sure it was she that he was talking to.... "Me lost no I don't think so, I mean I am not heading in any particular direction so it would be hard to be lost." she offered the male lion a very kind smile.
Doubting herself she turned "I am sorry do I know you?" One thing that Itzel was often concerned about was she was going to run into creatures that she knew and make a fool out of herself. It was the only thing about her memory difficulties that bothered the lioness a great deal.
"I was on my way to get some water." Itzel told the lion, forgetting to introduce herslef at all, "Would you like to join me?" Itzel sat prettily looking at the male, she was a very quite female petite in size.

She made a fair point...it was hard to be lost if you weren't heading anywhere to begin with. He was taken aback a little when she asked if she knew him, and Ilyas frowned, giving a slow shake of his head. "...No? I don't think so? I haven't me you before?"
...Damn, that was a missed opportunity! Inwardly cursing himself, Ilyas quickly came to realize that he'd have felt terrible if he had tricked her in such a way - he nodded quite eagerly when she invited him along, however. "I'd love to. Would you like to lead the way?"

Itzel had a skip in her step she was very happy that the male had decided to join her, company was always nice even if she didn't remember him later one. She looked around her sniffing the air trying to get back on track. "Ok the water is this way I beleive." her voice was light and happy.
As she walked Itzel turned toward the male, "My name is Itzel" she told him lightly, the one thing she had been able to remember was her name, why that was she didn't know. "What is your name?" she asked a glint of happiness in her eyes, Itzel was almost never unhappy.
Itzel was happy to see that she had chosen the right path to water and she began to run towards the water, splashing as she entered it. She turned back to look at the male a sparkle in her eye.

She believed? Ilyas nearly groaned at the thought of getting lost, but then he remembered that it would give him more time. More time to talk to the lioness, perhaps...y'know, convince her to come home with him. He wanted to get home so bad, see his family again. See his mother and Farrah, in particular. He missed his sister.
"Itzel," he repeated, smiling, "It's a beautiful name. Mine's Ilyas." He figured most girls liked compliments, so he decided to shower her in them, moving on to her coat next, "Your coat is beautiful, too" Such pretty, shimmering-y colours."
...He was so articulate.
The water came into sight and she ran towards it - Ilyas followed her, grinning widely as he also splashed in after her, laughing as his fur became drenched. "Say, Itzel...I don't suppose you have a pride?"

Itzel smiled it was nice to hear that she had a nice coat she never knew, though she was fond of her white coat, though it was impossible to keep clean, or so she assumed it was she didn't remember having to clean all the time... but still.
The white lioness stopped splashing around to listen to the male talk he head tilted to the side. "A pride?" she said slowly trying to place the word in her head, usually her memory problems didn't effect her understanding. "Ah yes a place where a bunch live together... no no I dont think I belong to one of those." The lioness smiled, she realized perhaps she should explain more to Ilyas as she was fairly sure that she sounded completely crazy.
"You see I have no memories, basically I start each day fresh not knowing what happened the day before, though for some reason I do recall is my name.. though I dont know why." she paused studying the male hoping that perhaps he would still be interested in talking to her.

He nodded as she repeated his question, suddenly aware she might not...know what a pride was. He wasn't sure he'd know, if he hadn't been born into one. She didn't...think? Surely you knew if you belonged to a pride or not, it was a pretty big decision. She began to explain, however, and Ilyas gave a light "Ohhhhhh," of realization. She only had a short term memory? Oh...how sad. Ilyas frowned, unsure of what to say, "That's...that must be really difficult for you."
He briefly pondered whether he should rethink his offer. But perhaps what he had to offer was just what she needed - a solid place to call home, and someone to protect her. "Well, Itzel...I was gonna say, I'm in a pride. You could come back with me, if you wanted?"
He didn't want to lie to her, so continued, "Its a slightly...strange pride. Like, all the boys have a 'harem' of girls and they love them all...and you're really pretty."
He really needed to work on this.

Itzel shook her head, "No no, its not hard really. How can something be hard if I don't remember." She said with grin on her face. "Really it just makes life more of an adventure every day." she was happy and she splashed in the water a little more.
"You would take me back to your home?" Itzel was somewhat puzzled by the males offer, was he really ok with her disability? She didn't even really notice the way he stumbled all over his words. Her mind began to race about the possibilities of a pride a permenant home, maybe if she was in the same place everyday her mempry would get better?
When Ilyas began to describe his home the lightly colored lioness was trying to figure it all out, "So you would take me as your mate? But I wouldn't be your only mate?" she giggled when he tacted on at the end of his explanation that she was pretty.

"Uh...yeah. I'd take you back, if you'd let me?"
This wasn't how it was supposed to happen. Wasn't it termed 'capture'? Insinuting you actually had to physically capture a female. But that just seemed so...harsh. Especially when there were some that wanted to come back.
It sounded like she...had it pretty much all figured out, though. "Yeah, exactly! I've got one other girl who...when I get back, I need to ask her dad for permission. She's called Afsar - she's really nice, you'd like her!"

Itzel listened to what the male had to say, she wondered if perhaps she was doing this wrong but it didn't matter. She was excited a new home would be wonderful, and maybe just maybe if she had a steady home she would be able to retain memories.
"Well I should hope I would like her it would be hard to live if we didn't get along with each other." unkown to Itzel she had never met soemone she didn't get along with but of course she didn't remember that.
"Well when do we go? You can't leave with out me... if you leave I might forget that we made this deal, I don't want to forget" Itzel smiled a glisten of a tear in her eye. For once she was affraid that she might forget soemthing.

...Wait, she was going to come with him? She was...she was going to let him capture her? Of course, Ilyas wasn't going to physically capture Itzel, since she was sweet and willing and probably heavy. He didn't want to drag her back unconscious or something, like some of the other Pads had done.
"Uhm...we can go now?" he suggested, glancing behind him. He was going home! He could go find Zeki, and then go home at last! He'd been out here so long, everyone would have grown! All of Mzuka's babies would be big and strong, and his mother...Ilyas couldn't wait to give his mother a big hug. "Its not too far - perhaps a day or two. My brother's waiting for me, we'll need to meet up with him."
He smiled brightly, "I won't let you forget!"

Itzel looked around, it wasn't like there was anything to say good buy to, or to go and get to bring with her. "Ok" she said, pulling herself from the water, ready to follow in tow behind the male who promised to lead her to a new home, a life and possibly a memory. Things she hadn't had in a long time.
"I am a travellor I am sure I can keep up." she said a large grin on her face. Itzel was very excited and she couldn't wait to be in her new home, and it was just a few days away. She walked quickly a bounce in her step.
((finish?))
