Switch was doing as she often did, taking care of the store, playing with Tek, trying to keep Mrrh and Kay from killing each other...it was tough, but it was her life right now. Strange how something so active could become to routine! Today, the blue haired woman was free of two of her daily nuisances; Tek was at home with Quint, and Mrrh and Kay had left the shop to go their separate ways. In Mrrh's case, it was probably wandering aimlessly...in Kay's case, he was probably out at the mall, going to make some new friends. Meaning meet pretty girls.
What was she going to do with that boy? Honestly! Her greatest wish was that he wasn't stupid enough to make her a Grandmother just yet.
That meant she had time to browse the store, to see if anything new randomly cropped up as it usually did. The store definitely had a mind of it's own in that regard! It didn't take her long to find something new...it was a strange device, and she couldn't make a lick of sense of it. It looked like a gun, but it wasn't? Behind it though, was something else that was new...and after picking it up, she realized what it was.
A severed arm....with a blade for a hand, along with two clawed little fingers.
Paling instantly, the shopkeep screamed and dropped both items, running backwards as fast as she could. Distance! Distance was needed here! Ahh! Green eyes stared at the severed thing in absolute horror...and when the arm twitched from jostled nerves, those green eyes rolled into the back of her head, her body hitting the ground with an unconscious thud.

Maria walked through the streets with a slow pace. Her eyes wandered towards the many signs displayed on top of the outlet shops. In her hand was a wrinkled paper with a list of items written on it. All of the items were crosses out except for "Blender", which was located at the very bottom. She had visited many appliance stores, but all they offered were fancy blenders whose prices were through the roof. Maia didn't need a blender that could make perfect smoothies and fruity drinks, or had a built in cap that could lock so no nosy child would shove their hand into the blades. All she needed was a simple blender.
Two hours had past since she had left the house in search of the items on her list. Maria had been to every house-ware and appliance store in town and she was running out of options. Her feet ached with every step. Just as she was about to give up, she noticed a shop with a sign that read "The Curio Shop". To her knowledge, curio had something to do with curiosity shops, which were supposed to sell odds and ends. She needed odds and ends! Was a blender an odd or end? She wasn't sure, but the shop probably had chairs that she could sit on if she told them she was "testing" them. Guided by her eager feet, Maria went through the shop's door.
Upon entering, Maria noticed the vast array of particular items spread amongst the shop. Just before she was tempted to pick one up, she noticed there was no one in the room. Was the place closed?
"Hello? Is anyone here?" she called out to the empty room. Maybe they were out for lunch and would be back soon. She went back to looking through the wares. A gleam caught her eyes and she turned to see what had caught her eyes. A few shelves away was a worn blender. Her eyes lit up and she rushed to get it before it some how disappeared. Not looking where she was going, Maria tripped over something on the floor. After stabilizing herself, she bent down and picked up what she had stumbled over. It was some weird device, maybe a toy gun? She studied it until her hand brushed up against something cold and leathery. She turned the gun around and saw two fingers attached to a stub of an arm with a blade attached grasping the gun. Her eyes widened and her pupils shrunk at the sight of the dismembered body part. Shrieking, she threw the two objects across the room and started running in a random direction. Once again she tripped over something. Her body fell to the floor with a thud, landing beside the body of a woman. She started to shriek even louder.

Maria touched the item, and that familiar little ping in the back of Switch's mind was enough to drag her groggily back into consciousness. She groaned as she started to wake up, but found herself sitting bolt upright and crab walking away from the woman when she insisted on shrieking again.
"OHGODI'MSOSORRY!" Switch cried out quickly, panting heavily, moving to clutch her chest as though it would still her furiously beating heart. "...W-where'd it go?" The blue haired woman stuttered, her green eyes wide as she looked around for the - gulp - severed arm. Did it walk...err, crawl...finger? Away on it's own?! Dear lord she hoped not...that meant it was still vaguely alive and...
Shuddering at the thought, Switch drew her limbs closer to her body, practically curling up. "Ah...A-are you alright?" She didn't see the arm or gun in the general area, so she felt it safe to look at the woman.

Maria rolled to see the body move and get up from the floor. She immediately jerked upright to see the woman crab walking away from her. Her nerves finally calm and she gets up from the floor, brushing some of her messy hair from her face as the woman started speaking.
"Oh my god, I thought you were dead!" Maria blurted out to the woman. She was probably in just as scared as she was, judging be the body language. "Uh.. I threw it across the room... if you're talking about that weird arm thing. and yes, I think I'm fine..." She felt exposed standing out in the open, so she huddled over to the woman for protection.

"Dead? Oh god no, I'm still alive!" Switch whined out as though she were thankful for it...but, just to be safe, she pinched her arm anyway. The resulting pain made her wince, but hey, at least she knew she was still alive! That was really all that mattered.
"Threw it...?" She parroted, wide green eyes surverying the room until she spotted the still slightly twitching object. Paling again, she only happily huddled with the stranger, though neither of them were particularily brave in this case. "I...I think you should take it home." She suggested; she knew this was a Curio, and she knew that this woman was meant to be the Guardian, but how on Gaia could she convince her to just take the items! "I think it likes you." Which was surprisingly true.

Maria watched the woman pale, which was no surprise to her. Just the thought of not knowing the location of whatever-the-heck it was sent a chill down her spine. The next thing the woman said made Maria raise an eyebrow of disbelief at the woman. Take it home? It likes her? Was she insane!? Taking that thing home was the equivalent of taking home a corpse of a rabid bunny and sleeping next to ever night.
"W-what do you mean it likes me?" Maria choked. Hands can't like you, especially if their dead!

Switch gulped a bit when the woman corned her. She shop wouldn't allow her to say anything back, but damnit, she couldn't just leave it at that! Biting down on her bottom lip, she squirmed uncomfortably.
"I...I just know it does! I can't explain it anymore than thaaaaat~!" She whined. The arm had stopped twitching by then, but her green eyes remained fixed on it; it would do it again, she was sure of it. It hit her suddenly, how horrifying the kid from that arm could turn out to be. Geez, she wasn't being very convincing with her argument! What else could she do?! "I...I'll PAY you to take it, then!" Sure it wouldn't look good on her paybooks, but...the item had to go with this woman.

Maria was just as creeped out by the woman than the hand. The woman had a VIBE that a HAND liked her. She had to admit though, the two objects seemed pretty cool. Danger aside, if Maria cleaned the hand up and stored it in the far depths of a titanium safe, she wouldn't mind having it.
Maria thought about it for a minute, rubbing her chin while doing so. "Well.. if you really want it off your hands," she chimed,"then I GUESS I could take it, with the money and the gun of course."

"Deal. Fifty Bucks, and the Gun." Switch said shortly, just jumping at the chance to get the blasted thing out of her shop, and to a Guardian who may or may not be doomed. Crawling to her feet and untangling herself from the woman, she headed to her large Oak desk, going through the drawer where she kept the money. Fifty was taken out, and after moving back to the poor doomed Guardian, she held it out.
"Here, Just...guh the faster it's outta here the better." The woman made a face, shuddering visibly.

Maria watched the woman move to and from a large desk. She gladly accepted the fifty dollars, giving an award smile before heading over to the gun and arm. The gun could easily go for a toy model, so she didn't take much time into hiding it in the contents of her bag she was using to carry the items she was shopping for. not wanting to touch the dead arm, Maria wrapped her shopping list around it before slipping it into the bag. She would wash everything when she got home. After she gave an award goodbye wave to the woman, she exited the shop.
Outside, Maria composed herself before the walk home. Today had been a good day she helped someone get an item off their hands, earned a bit of money, and finished her... shopping.. list... Maria's face stretched into a frown when she realized the whole point of going into the shop. "I forgot to get a blender...."
