The clearing had an eerily clean scent, as the air had been scalded by the fire. It was easily twenty lengths across, the ashy ground contrasting starkly against the singed forest around it. There was no way to hide except maybe approaching from behind, and the rock, some called it the star, the meteor, some referred to it as the egg, was smack dab in the center. Roughly circular in shape, the top two thirds were shattered, a chunk of which was on the ground, crumbled bits littered the rock and the rock's inhabitant, and the part that hadn't collapsed hung over the top, as if it was going to be a shelter for the tiny infant.

Completely oblivious to the controversy and suspicion that surrounded his arrival, the pup was either fast asleep, or putting on a very good show of it. His coat was a pretty, pale, soft blue, that faded to a more lavender on his limbs and one cheek. The fringes of his cheeks, the underside of his tail, and directly around his eyes, had a more, almost sky blue tinge. From the back he seemed pretty unremarkable. But seeing his face, his limbs, it almost seemed plausible that he came from a star- Ivory star shaped marks sporadically dotted his legs, and a neat, orderly row of stars marched from his forehead to his ivory nose. It was hard to tell in the daytime, but in the shadow of the rock, one could see that those markings glowed. Like constant fireflies- Not particularly bright, but just as startling. And that wasn't the last of it, though this seemed tame compared to the strangeness of his fur- Tiny, curling back horns were beginning to sprout between his ears, the same ivory color as his markings, though they didn't glow.

The rest of them? It was totally a mixed bag of who thought he was satanspawn and should be destroyed, or if perhaps he was a god and needed worship, that they were being tested, or an alien, or... The theories were endless, as were the opinions of what should be done with the pup. But no one seemed to be overly keen on even getting close to him to do any of those things... And some were even beginning to bicker among themselves, all while the little one slept on. Or at least ignored them.

[Since it includes Xa'los pack in general, Khaless & Amunet will have to join in. xD ]

Amunet, quick to the scene of anything interesting, nonetheless did nothing but lurk in the shadows with the rest. Her swirled pelt pattern flickered in and out of focus as she moved through the trees, circling the burned section. It wasnt particularily the pup that she came for, but the burned forest.. That was the problem, not a strange pup. She snorted softly, and went off to find Khaless or Kirill. Where ever it came from, it was still only a pup.

Amunet did succeed in finding Khaless, perched over the cave entrance. Looking highly unconcerned for all useful purposes, Khaless listened closely as Aumnet explained the pup in the middle of the burned section of trees. Khaless' violet eyes flickered. One of few wolves who actively had to deal with the Alchemist and his rogues, as well as his creations, Khaless wondered what had gone wrong to place a newborn in such a spot. Leaping down, she followed Amunet to the spot, coming to stand breifly next to Enelye. Khaless' spines were up, and she glared fiercely at the rest until they quieted. As pack leader, she knew approach would be up to her, especially in this situation.

Khaless' looked at Enelye, inviting her to follow her. It was Khaless who took the first steps into the burned area, her nose wrinkling from the acrid smell of burned trees and ground. She took slow steps towards him, not intending to frighten him on purpose. Still, Khaless' spines were raised fully up in a display of dominance. She minced her way through the ashes, paws kicking up little puffs of ash with every step, until by the time she'd reached the pup, her lower legs were covered in a thin film of ash. She stopped a few feet from the tiny pup, looking down at him with an interested expression, as if waiting on him to explain himself.

The pup was staring up at Khaless like she was some sort of goddess, then something dawned on him slowly. You could almost see it lighting his face up, like sunrise.

"...Father?"

...Well. He tried. Clearly he hadn't even been around long enough to know gender, or he'd been abandoned for however long he'd existed. He looked so hopeful, though, his ears perking a little, though still too soft and floppy to get much higher than half-mast, the terror slowly sinking from his face, it was almost painfully adorable. Maybe they weren't planning on eating him... They sort of looked like him, from what he could tell, and they hadn't killed him yet, so..

As Khaless moved aside En peered over the pup and sighed softly. He was different for other pups...his markings. The pups looked up to her with his big colorful eyes. En melted. She looked back at Khaless who smiled to her. "I'll be the one taking care of you."
Enelye wasn't sure if she should pick him up by his scruff and carry him. All the trauma could scar him more. "What's your name?"
