Some distance away from the playground is a sparkling lake. Or at least that's what Ask was told from one of his 'sources'. In fact he'd dreamt that he found it today... last night. And here he was standing on the shore gazing at the sparkling water. It was definitely better awake.
He'd decided to go hiking today and to see what he could see. His mom was fine with it because the area was safe and he had the fully charged cell phone with him. He'd happily tromped through the woods and he probably had a few twigs in his hair to go with the mud on his hiking boots. He settled on an old log and stared for a while just taking in the fresh air and sounds of nature that surrounded him.

Ialu clung to his mama's back as she zipped through the trees like a ninja. He loved piggie back riding on mama! Her pretty, soft hair blowing in his face, her protective arms holding his ankles in place, and the fact it was so much FUN! Mama had been "scoping" the Academy for a while now, she said to "check things out". Mama had been sneaky-sneak ever since she got that letter that made her mad, and he wanted to go see what she was doing! But Mama had the pets, like big-biiiiig Leo, watch over him and make sure he didn't dart off to find her.
And just today, Mama surprised him with trip!
To "Sparkling Lake" or something like that.
He didn't know, Mama did tell him that it was a place with LOTS of water though!
He giggled happily the faster his Mama went until he felt her start to slow down.
"Huh... Well ain't that a strange sight."
"Bu?" Ialu peeked over Mama's shoulder curiously, following her eyes to look below them. Ooo... "Who dat?"
"Don't know, let's see."
Mama leapt from branch to branch, going down down down until she got low enough to land on the ground. Standing slowly meant Ialu had to slide off her back, which he did, landing on his feet. Mama gave a single, friendly wave to the strange kid. "Hey there! We were just trying to find the lake. Ahem.. My name is Anastaija."
Ialu stepped next to Mama, clinging a little to her leg. Something about this child made him feel shy... or was it uneasy..? "I am Ialu..." He didn't know it, but Mama was smiling pleasantly at his shyness.

Ask blinked at the strange pair. He wasn't surprised to see them, he merely felt a sense of deja vu. "Hi." He looked at them quizzically, "You seem to have found the lake you were looking for." and pointed in front of him at the lake.

The duo blinked once at Ask then turned to look behind them. A moment of silence ran for exactly three seconds before they seemed to burst with newfound energy simutaneously. They looked at each other with happy grins.
"We found it!" "We found it!"
Mama and Ialu donned big, cheesy grins in Ask's direction.
"Time to play!" "Time to pway!"
Anastaija cleared her throat, regaining some level of self control over her joy. "But before all that! What's your name, kid? Gotta know your name, we introduced ourselves after all!"
"Ya-ya! Mama say it onwy powite to ex...chan... age... Exchanage names! Yes!"

"Oh, sorry. My name's Ask." he smiled a greeting. "I just found the lake today too. It's pretty. My mom would be thrilled 'cause it sparkles."

What a strange name, so strange that Ialu tilted his head at Ask. "Ask? Ask about what? Ask you anyting, yes?"
Anastaija simply nodded her head. "I found it myself, just for the little runt here." She said, giving Ialu's hair a gentle ruffle. "I wanna wait til the sun goes down, then it'll REALLY sparkle!"
Ialu, however, was still stuck on Ask's name... "Question game! Wanna pway it, Ask?" Then he could ASK any question he wanted!
Anastaija's left ear twitched at the mention of that game, turning her attention back to the lake. "I'll just be over here~"
"You ask me anyting and I will ask you anyting! Fair, yes! You first, pwease!"

Ask sighed mentally, really, it was impossible to think of a new pun on his name, he'd heard them all before. "Alright, I'll play the question game with you but I reserve the right to skip a question. What race of meta are you?"

Ask was so funny, with his funny words that he didn't understand. He did, however, understand his question. "Wace of meta..." His little hand went to his chin, as his face scrunched up cutely as he seemed to be thinking hard, "Mama says I'm kinda wike her. Well, more wike her fwiends. There's a lot of them... I tink the word is... De...mon..ic-a..?" Mama had taught him what rhyming was yesterday, so lately he's been rhyming words that sometimes don't make sense.
But it was his turn now!
"What does "re-serve the wight" mean?"

Ask blinked. Ok so here goes teaching more words to small metas. "Reserve is to hold something back, or save it. A right is the ability to do something. So reserving the right to something means that I'm saving the ability to not answer any question I think is too personal."

Ohhh... Ialu nodded his head in understanding, slowly digesting what he's been told...
But that only brought on more questions.
"Theeen what would be too person-able? Why hold it back or save it? You savin' it for your mama? I taught "wight" was with words or someting, wike "wighting", wike on paper!"
Anastaija probably should've warned Ask that Ialu was highly inquisitive... almost manically so, even at his age.

"It's my turn to ask questions Ialu. But 'right' and to 'write' on paper are two different words though they sound the same. And personal is something that you don't tend to want to share." He smiled at the cute little guy. "What're your favorite color?" It's a good thing he was so patient.
