His reasons for being out on the borders wasn't hunting, for once. After several days of hard, gruelling work he'd been granted a day of rest - if only he could. He'd sat in his den all morning, trying to snooze or nap or even just sit and think about nothing. But he wasn't able to - his mind was clouded with numerous thoughts, most of them about the lioness he'd spent a previous night with.
She still hadn't come back to him, he hadn't even seen her. It was like she was avoiding him - but why? He liked her, she liked him, surely it wasn't rocket science? But Kauli was very traditional...their mistake was something that would be heavily looked down on and critisized should the pride ever find out. He could understand her position - he just hoped she'd find a way to overcome it and embrace the relationship they'd come to develop.
With a loud sigh and a cloud of dust, Rembo dropped himself onto the ground. Perhaps the fresh air out here would do him some good.

The walk from his homelands had been a grueling one. Along with his sister, they had been forced to leave the pride of their birth. While he looked the part of a firekin, and his sister had passion enough for three of their pride members, they'd been marked as huria from birth. He looked the part, he was large enough to contend with many of the soldiers, and while he was a little less aggressive than the others, he could easily fly into the rage their pride was known for- his father had given him a huria's name. While Sinbad now regretted his actions, it was one less male to contend with Ali-Baba, his pure-blooded older brother.
He'd accepted the fact long ago, but it didn't make leaving any easier. He had his sister, who presently slept in the shade of a large, sloped boulder not too far off. She had insisted on going with him when he inspected the boarders, but...well she was asleep. It made him feel a touch better that she'd remain safe in case things took a turn for the worst.
Moving briskly but casually, the ebony mountain of a lion loped along the edge of the pride markers, everything about his posture suggested a relaxed, non-aggressive individual.
Rembo:
...Wait, what was that?
Rembo's dreary eyes opened wider, the lion frowning. He'd just been about to doze off when he'd spotted a dark shape on the horizon, moving along the pride borders. Blinking any sleep from his eyes, maw stretching wide in a yawn, Rembo begrudging pushing himself to his feet. So much for a day of rest - but then again, coming to the borders to 'rest' was a pretty contradicatory decision in the first place. With a sigh, he set off towards the shape, becoming quite aware of the fact that it was far larger than him.
"...Hello?" he called, noting the relaxed posture of the individual. His pelt was dark, and he looked friendly enough. Rembo couldn't be but he intimidated by his sheer size, however, and kept a fair distance. Hopefully the lion's size meant he wasn't too agile, so Rembo should hopefully have the advantage should the lion turn hostile.
Gaddith:
Gaddith broke out of his quiet musings and lifted his large head, silvery eyes squinting against the harsh sunlight. He hated moving during the day, but if he waited for nightfall, no doubt he'd have company. It wouldn't have looeked good for one, not for a passive, curious visit to a pride's boarders, and secondly- he knew nothing about those living within the lands. For all he knew, they could be hostile.
"Greetings." He offered with a smile and a dip of his chin. "I...seem to have stumbled upon a colonized area, might I ask where I've found myself?"
Rembo:
The smile relaxed Rembo a little further, though he was still on his guard. He'd met lions before, who had seemed sweet enough at first greeting but quickly turned hostile. The lion seemed interested in the pridal lands, however, so Rembo widened his smile to a more inviting one, settling his hind on the ground so he might be more comfortable and seem less hostile himself.
"Ah, you have - these are the Tuait'Tekem lands. My name is Rembo - I'm only a hunter, I'm afraid, but I can take you to the Pharoh if you should wish to meet him?"
Gaddith:
The lion rolled ears forward and took a short glance back the way the stranger had come. So it was a pride's lands, perhaps they were in luck. He couldn't see himself or Nakama living outside of the desert, they simply weren't built for it. From what he understood, their blood wasn't exactly loved outside of the sandy boarders anyway.
"Huh, never heard of them." He looked back and chuckled quietly. "I...don't know what a Pharoh is. Sorry...I'm from a pride just...a ways from here. Little sheltered, I was a hunter myself."
Rembo:
Never heard of them? Rembo smiled regardless - it was a fair enough comment. As far as he was aware the Tuait'tekem didn't exactly go around advertising their presence to the outside world, much prefering to let others wander across them, or search them out because of lost relatives or friends. "Our Pharoh is like...the head of the pride," he tried to explain, not sure how best to put it, "The King, sort of thing?"
Oh, so he was from a pride himself? Rembo frowned, questions suddenly popping up. Whilst he allowed himself a small smile after learning the lion was a hunter like himself, he was more interested on learning why the stranger had left. He hadn't offered his name yet, which could merely be an accident or could be on purpose - if he'd been cast out of his old pride for henious crimes, the Tuait'tekem certainly wouldn't welcome him. "Why did you leave your old pride, if you don't mind me asking?"
Gaddith:
Ah, the king. He knew the word, though he was born in a time when the firekin had put the old ways to rest. In place of a king they had a council of sort. Apparently, one of his aunts sat in one of the higher ranks of the pride. A king, from what he understood from his father's many ramblings, was the single head of the pride. So many words for the same thing...it seemed silly.
Gaddith chuckled, it was a fair enough question. "I was given a huria's name. Simple as that. Besides, my sister was born with the wrong colors, kind of a shame...but I couldn't let her go off by herself." He shrugged, then perked up, as if remembering something. "Ah...sorry, I'm Gaddith."
