SG DND IRC
SG: US DND: Dungeons and Dragons IRC: Chatty program thing. Our server has built in dice rolls!
Server: irc.tellaerad.net on port: 6667 channel: #sgdnd
We're opening up 2 campaigns of 4 or 5 people each! As the world gets built more and I finish creating more dungeons if you don't know how to work an irc just standby, I'll get FAQ up.
The campaigns go on in the same world and in the same plot, they just start in different places and all that.
If you're new to D&D: Don't Worry! So are a lot of other people! And some of us aren't new at all and we're all willing to help you out. We have an FAQ post for D&D in this thread, head down to that, and just ask for anything else you want to know.
If you're new to IRC: DON'T WORRY! SO IS PRETTY MUCH EVERYONE. Head down to the IRC FAQ, ask us questions, etc. It's really, really not that hard.

D&D INFO POST.
Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy RPG most well known for being played tabletop. Generally you pick a class and a race, roll for your stats, group up with some other people, and go on ADVENTURES RULED BY DICE GODS.
RACES HUMAN: I don't really think I need to explain what humans are to ya'll, due to the fact that you are one. They're pretty boring, don't have a class favorite or racial bonuses, but you get some minor benefits from being a jack-of-all-trades race.
DWARF: They're shorter, they're portly, and the boy ones have epic beards. Generally more inclined towards classes that do not value being nimble. Fighter, Cleric, that sort of thing. Don't like people very much, live to about 400 years old or so, like beer.
ELF: These are about 4.5-5.5 feet tall and are more tolkein variety than santa claus. Waifish, good eyesight and hearing bonus, they like being wizards and rangers and that sort of thing. They live to be like 700 years old and are pretty unconcerned with your trivial human problems.
Gnome: Gnomes are short little buggers, like 4 feet tall. They're filthy little tricksters, but pretty jolly all around. They make excellent bards. I have absolutely no idea how long they live or what their racial benefits are.
Halflings - They're like hobbits except they're smaller. About 3 feet tall, 30 pounds or so, they're like if hobbits had the stature of elves. They're all like curious and s**t and I have no idea what classes they're good at because mine was a ******** cleric, b***h.
Half-Elf - oh lulz. They have the jack of all trades that comes from being human plus racial benefits, they're pretty cool.
Half-Orc - Oh jesus christ. Orcs are stupid and mean and thusly half orcs are more likely to be stupid and mean but they could always not be. They make good barbarians.
CLASSES
bored with this I'll finish it later.

OH BY THE WAY at this point I'm going to op anyone I know isn't a shithead who pops in. Even though the chan's registered I want to make sure I have a person or two in there at all times until the bot's up (at which point I will still want a person or two in there at all times but hopefully more will be set up and also I won't need to OP everyone)

This sounds super fun, actually.
Now I just need to learn how to use IRC rooms and such.
I know Roger told me how to roll dice...

Assuming I could make it to play sessions, I would be interested.
Edit: That would be assuming you're playing 3.5 rules >.>

Ok then, I'm joining as well. However, due to living in a timezone that is very different to yours, I will be playing at stupid O'Clock in the morning. This, however, does not bother me. Except on Saturdays.

Not sure how much time I would ever have to play, but I love D&D and will probably hop on to observe from time to time.

I'd like to inform you that I'll be dropping out because it won't be fair to you all. I've just been dropped off a SHIPload of work (Inspired by watching the trailer of that new Alien Swarm game Roger was talking about) and I won't be able to devote my time to GMing, work AND D&D. Sorry everyone. I really did want to play, but RL is more important atm.
