Areas of Central City exist in this new universe...

Eddie landed on a building to stop his web swinging. He looked around, but didn't notice anything that gave the place away as familiar. It looked sewn actually, almost out of place. Like it was a mixture of various areas. He rubbed his temples and sat leaning over the edge of the rooftop. He watched a woman with strange hair ride by on a harley, but didn't decide to make himself known to her. Instead he just sat there, healing and taking in the sights. He took out his phone and named the newest number "Lady Deathstrike".

Songbird ordered pancakes with blueberry topping, two eggs and coffee. After the woman behind the counter where Melissa sat took the order, a pair of uniformed police officers walked up to a seated Songbird.

"Well, what have we here, Bellows? A lady biker. Don't think I've seen you around before."

"That's true. I haven't seen you around either. I'd say she's new around here, Murph."

"I'd have to agree. Hmmmm... Not very socialable, are ya?"



Great, this must be a cop hangout, slowly Mel turned toward the pair of officers talking at her, "Is there a problem, officers?"

The taller, grey-haired policeman answered, "That depends on you, and what you're doin here."

The dark-haired officer continued, "We're making sure that there isn't going to be any trouble."

The grey-haired cop added, "You're not exactly a lady. Just here to be some kind of bad girl?"

Melissa noticed that both officers were addressing her chest. Glancing back and forth between them, "So... What's the issue here? Are you trying to tell me that I'm in trouble?"

Murph answered still staring at Melissa's chest, "Possibly."

Mel raised her eyebrows, "So what... I violated Section 34 Double D?"

On cue, Melissa's breakfast showed up. Melissa made a quick glance, thanked Mavis, and turned back to the officers, "And now, is it okay if I eat my breakfast while it's still hot?"

Bellows elbow jabbed his partner, and Murph took the hint, "Okay, fine. But you behave while you're here, Sweetcakes."

Songbird rolled her eyes at the lame comment, "Alright, eating breakfast." Mimi turned to her eggs and pancakes and started eating.

The pair of police officers turned to their booth, Murph whispered to his partner, "Bellows, I'm tellin ya, I've seen her face before. I think from old wanted lists. Without drawin any more attention, do you think you can pull her plates from her motorcycle outside?"

Bellows nodded and slightly shifted his gaze to view the licence plate and wrote down the number. Then he texted dispatch -- asking them to keep this off the airwaves because of Mavis' police scanner was running dispatch messages to units. Bellows ran a request to run Melissa's plates...

A transmission ran across every TV station and radio station around Central City:


On radio, the Ghost's voice would be heard. On TV, his costumed image greeted all it's viewers.





"In the 50’s, I controlled TV. But to see through it, to travel the network. I had to wait over fifty years for a techno-society sophisticated enough for my plans. And from the looks of things, it’s been worth the wait.

“Of course, it’s not the urban paradise of tomorrow we all expected. The future is like the present, only older.

“But there’s plenty new here now that allows me to further my aims and exact my revenge! You should’ve paid that million back in ’55, Central City. I wouldn’t hold such a grudge now."



After the Ghost's transmission, everything returned to normal.

ENTER from Sanctum Sanctorum

A shadow zipped through the alley ways and straight up the side of a rather tall building. When it came to rest on the roof of the building, Reaper emerged in his human form.

He stood there, staring around the city, scanning for any of the heroes on the list. This city hadn't been here before...it was new. Perhaps some of the heroes came here to check it out as well. He had to try and be thurough either way.

Melissa rode her harley to a motel, where she checked in. Once she moved her gear inside the motel room, Mel stripped off her clothes and began to change into her costume. Before she had donned her harness, the young herione switched on her communicator. Melissa used an old trick she learned from Hawkeye and tuned her comm in to Central City's police dispatch.



Songbird completed her costume by donning her harness. Meanwhile, she listened in to various dispatch messages. Hopefully, there would be something she could follow. While she waited, Songbird studied a map of Central City she picked up from various tourist brochures at the front desk of the motel.

Mimi leaned back and listened to the police dispatch messages through her comm -- listening for any reference of this 'mad bomber'. Then she heard her name and the motel through dispatch.

Melissa's eyes snapped open, "Oh for crying out loud. Those cops must have run my plates." She rolled her eyes and sat up, rubbing the bridge of her nose. Songbird stood up, "I better n** this in the bud, before it goes completely sideways."

Songbird went out on the terrace and used her sonic power to take flight up into the air. Once airborne, Songbird flew in the direction of Central City's Police Headquarters.
