The weather was glorious, honestly it was. Shining sun, perfect light breeze at the right moments, and the temperature wasn't unbearable. For Tizzy's class today, she'd decided to take pity on whatever student she'd be having and take the class outside. There was a large table set up with boxes of beads on it, leather strings, and on a slightly nearer table, there was also food.
Honestly, the funnel cake, iced tea and pizza had absolutely nothing to do with her lesson. Tizzy had just felt they completed the atmosphere of the class that day - well that and she'd been really bored after setting up the table and beads. Presently, the electric haired teacher was reclining in a beach chair under an umbrella, waiting for this 'Phoebe' to show up. Yeah Tizzy totally wasn't doing this class this way because it was amusing to her at all.

Phoebe did a little bit of a twirl as she trooped along to her 'class' - what was a class like, anyway? Not that it mattered, really, the spawn decided as she skipped along, enjoying the sunshine and the breeze. J-Mama wasn't here; it was far too bright for her and she'd been forced to chase down Kupo as he vanished during breakfast. Not that Phoebe was scared. . . even if she did have no idea what to expect.
The table with pizza, funnel cake and tea was the last thing she'd expected, though.
"I didn't think classes usually have a picnic with them," she mused out loud as she came up to the tables and the strange person who must have been the teacher. "Hello!"

"They don't." Tizzy stated, sitting up and nodded her head politely to the girl. "I was bored and thought you would enjoy the treat." Okay and she really liked funnel cake, which was odd for the android but still.
Pointing to the seat in front of her, Tizzy smiled. "Feel free to have some before you begin working. Just do not make any messes on the beads or supplies."

Phoebe noddded eagerly, and a slice of pizza, a piece of funnel cake, and a glass of tea later, she was ready to begin her class. Staring at the pretty boxes full of beads - different shaped beads, even : round ones, long ones, square ones, ones she didn't know the shape of - she resisted the urge to squeal in delight. This was going to be so much FUN!
"Okay, what do I do first? Huh? What do I do? Can I make lots of pretty things for me and for J-Mama and for Kupo and - and Kendra! And - and one for you, too!"

"Certainly you may." Tizzy said, sitting up and picking up one of the strings to show the girl. "Pick out a bead you want to start with. We'll be knotting that in to keep the others from falling off." Start small, right? "You'll need to figure out how to get the bead on the string first, but that isn't particularly hard."

Phoebe couldn't stop the delighted giggle from escaping her this time, and she happily started peering through the bead bins, finally settling on a simple round purple bead. "This one, this one, is it okay?" she asked, picking it up and peeking through the hole in the middle through her left, working-properly eye. "I stick the string through this hole, right? But - but how do you tie a knto with something that's round?"

"Like this." Tizzy demonstrated, picking up one of the beads similar to Phoebe's and stringing it onto a string. She held her hands out and slowed them down enough for the child to be able to follow the motions as she tied off the bead.
"Just work on stringing colors for now to make a simple bracelet. We will move onto patterns when you have completed that."

Phoebe nodded and tried to follow Tizzy's guide, but the fact that her right eye wasn't working too well slowed her down as she kept misjudging the distance needed to string the bead. Still, she swallowed down her frustration and got the bead on the string, clumsily tying it of and repeating the task with another bead that was just like the last one. "Just like this?"

Tizzy nodded carefully. Reaching out, the android turned the beads and strings carefully in Phee's hands, "If you cannot see, feel." she instructed, sometimes forgetting that humans had to have things like depth perception. "Let your hands learn the motions and you'll be able to do them without looking as much."

Phoebe nodded and closed her eyes for a moment, feeling for the bead and string, trying to do what Tizzy had told her. After a moment of fumbling, she opened her eyes again and found that she'd strung the next bead. She repeated this for a while until she had a long string of matching simple beads, with one big triangle (or was it a pyramid) shaped bead in the middle of the string. "I'm almost out of string! Now what? Now what?" she asked, feeling quite pleased with her simple little design.

The woman carefully took her student's hands, showing Phee how to use the end of the string and the first bead to finish the loop. "Would you like to practice on another one or move on to patterns or take a break first. You're doing very well and we have as long as you like to work."

"Ooooh, patterns please!" Phoebe said, bouncing up and down on her toes. "Can I give some of what I make as presents, or do they have to stay here when I go?" she asked, since the spawn's kindness side was flaring up and she thought that making presents for her friends might be a fun thing to do - well, that and... if they were grateful, it would feed her ego! She could maybe make even more friends! And maybe bring her current friends closer to her! It was a win-win situation!

Tizzy was pulling patterns out of the stack by now and blinked, "Why would I have you leave them here? I have no use for them after this lesson and you made them - I'll be allowing you to take the boxes of beads home too if you like. If you don't, I shall sell them to a discount hobby store I suppose but really, seems a waste." the android pointed out.
Carefully she laid a simple pattern out before the spawn. "See how far you can get with that."

"I can keep them? Really? All of these pretty beads?!?" Phoebe almost wanted to hug her teacher, but withheld herself in favor of working on the pattern. "Ooh, this will be pretty when it's all done!" she chirped, and smiled at her teacher once again. Maybe she would like a bracelet before Phoebe left? It might be a nice way to thank her for teaching her such a wonderful skill... but that would only work if Miss Tizzy actually wanted one. Not that it mattered right now - at this moment, she needed to work on getting these patterns right!

Tizzy quietly oversaw the girl's work, praising her when need be and helping when it looked like Phee was struggling. All the while, the android was sipping on a drink and seemed pleasantly relaxed. Today was a good day and this was a very acceptable student - most of her's were, of course, but thankfully Phoebe seemed to question why she was learning things a lot less than the others.
