Most of my dreams are just apocalypse related, be it nuclear or zombie, mostly the latter, lol. But yesterday morning I was asleep in bed, and in my dream my friend alex was walking across the street to my apartment building with his phone in his hand. He was dialing on it and he put it up to his ear. Next thing I know I wake up just as the phone rings and I get out of bed and walk to my brother who tells me it's Alex, but I somehow knew that from the dream. I am somewhat psycic, believe it or not. I wake up a several seconds before the phone rings in the middle of the night, so I'm awake when the person is just finishing dialing my number. I can also sense otherworldly beings. Sure, most of the time it's fear, since I'm a fearful person, but I can tell the difference between fear and when something unseen if watching me, but I can only tell if it's a bad entity. I get that "gift" from my mother. I have more occurances if you'd like to hear.

Another "psycic" ability of mine is to predict movies or TV shows. I'll think or say to myself "I wish (insert title here) would come on," and later that day it'd come on. I have no access to TV listings or program guides or anything like that, so it's not like I'm lying, for all those critics out there.
Another incident that happened several times was while I lived in Maryland. I lived in an unfinished basement with my brother. and I would constantly wake up in the middle of the night to feel my bed shaking. The basement had 2 doors, one leading upstairs and one leading outside. It was pretty big, but not a cellar, it was a basement meant to be like another floor of the house.
Yet another incident that occurred in that house was the fact that I'd lay in bed at night and hear voices. Now, before a critic comes by and says it was my parents talking, it wasn't. I know this because I would have heard them come down the stairs from the 2nd floor (where all the other bedrooms were) to the main floor. I heard the voices softly, almost like they were whispering and the sound was travelling down the vents. Even if it was my parents talking, I knew it couldn't be my parents. It sounded more like a man in his 40's speaking and a woman in her 20's or so speaking back to him. They didn't sound like they were arguing, if anything there might have been a hint of worry in their vocie, but it sounded more like a normal conversation.
A third incident occurred on the main floor of the house. Everyone was watching TV in the living room, along with my dog. I got up and walked into the kitchen, which is an open connection with the living room. instead of walking straight ahead to get to the den to get to the computer, i took a left to walk by the front door and go the long way to the den. I turned on the front door inside light from the kitchen switch and walked by the front door. What I saw next stil lcreeps me out. As I walked by the front door, I could see the 2nd floor of my house (it was one of those open floor things, where all it is is an open hallway connecting the rooms. there was my mom/dads bedroom facing the way I was walking, the bathroom facing me witht he door open, and the guest room, and then a wall blocks the last 5 feet of the hallway). So, as I walked by the front door, I saw a shadow move rather quickly from my moms room to the bathroom (the only light came from the light i had turned on, upstairs was dark). I turned just in time to see what I assume was a right leg disappear into the bathroom. I froze in place, trying to hold control of my bladder. Even then, 2-3 years ago, I knew so much about ghosts and otherworldy entities. I also watched Ghost Hunters, so I learned from that. One thing I learned was that if there is an experience with an otherworldy entity, try to see if it can be recreated. So that's what I did. I spent probably 5 minutes, walking the exact path the exact same position i had just done, trying to recreate the shadow. Nothing. I tried recreating it both while looking at the doorway and looking the way I was originally. Now, I know that if it was an entity, it wasn't a ghost, it would have ad to be a Shadow Person, because the thing looked like a shadow, not a shadowy figure. For further explanation, it looked 2D, not 3D. And the shadow wasn't caused by a car driving by outside, I would have seen it through the windows in the door or on the side of the door.
Now, the people who sold us the house, which was only less than 10 years or so old, knew I had a distinct fear of living in a house with the possibility of Ghosts or otherworldy beings. So, to be nice, they had the house blessed. That made me more comfortable in the house. However, I have heard that if there is something in the house, and the house is blessed, the entity goes away...but for a short period of time, like a few months or a year or so. Well, all this stuff started happening a year or so after we moved in. My mom never said that she felt a presence in the house, but that doesn't mean there wasn't one.
Anyway, that is the conclusion of my paranormal encoutners, at least until my friend and I can get our ghost "hunting" preogram going when I get back to Maryland. So, if anyone has any ideas what I've experienced, I'm all ears, because I told my dad about the shadow thing, and he just laughed, even though I said I was being serious.

Interesting. Yeah, the tv show thing has happened to me a few times too.
As for the shadow, it is hard to say what exactly it is. I believe you that something is going on in the house, I just don't know what. Most of the stories I have heard about shadow people is that they look like tall, black, human like figures. Not like a regular shadow. I think it may require more research. I can say that two of my favorite things to do are this: one is an old fashioned test where you take a candle and put it in a room that has no wind blowing through and see if it flickers. Especially when you ask questions. Second is using a digital voice recorder, it is my favorite tool.

I moved away from the house for a bout 2 more years, but when I get back, if things are still happening, I'll do the candle method. But like I said, I only saw the figure out of the corner of my eye, and it's leg for half a second when I turned my head. The bed shaking is what scared me the most.

When I was a teengaer I lived in a house built in the early 1700s, it was the first three story log cabin built in the area and it was also part of the Underground railroad. It was quite frightening in there at times. Sometimes from the third floor you could smell cigar smoke. Which is easy to debunk. But then you could hear footsteps on the stairs in the basemenet where they used to hide the escaping slaves. Sometimes you could hear footsteps on the low hangng roof outside my window. I also saw a full body apparition of a soldier in the house and my dog would bark on something in the kitchen. When I would be in the bathroom at anytime of day I would feel like there was someone standing behind me so I was afraid to look in the mirror.

I hate mirrors with like, a burning passion, especially when I'm home alone or in a friends house. I just need a way to "harness" my 6th sense to be able to tell when I'm afraid and when something is really there. Any suggestions?

I don't like mirrors that much. My main suggestions are to practice at it and listen to your intuition. Your body will let you know when someone is behind you. You know that feeling you get when someone is standing near you?

ZombieApocalypseSurvivor Yup, sure do. I'll try it out when I can, lol. Yes, I understand. There are many things I would like to do such as meditation, tuning in on my sixth sense yet I rarely have the time. I mean I could spend a little less time on the internet of course, but that doesn't help with all the other distractions.

Well I don't think I can hone in on my 6th sense my meditating, ad if I could I wouldn't know how. The only thing i can think of is going to a haunted place, getting used to that feling, then going to a non-haunted place and feel the difference.
