Regulus Regulus was wondering why the stars and fates had sent him here, usually it was because someone needed healing but lately he had begun to feel a growing weight in his chest and wondering if there was not another reason. After all he was lonely.
Stopping in a clearing he looked around before looking to the sky, it seemed misty and thick with tension -a storm perhaps? He closed his eyes and simply enjoyed the droplets of moisture that tickled and caressed him. If nothing else this was worth the travel. Deciding his hooves where too sore and tired to continue he looked around swiftly for a spot to rest before moving towards a willow and sitting below it. His earthy tones pelt helped him to blend him -although the glowing stars and eyes usually gave him away. Especially since the mist had made the day rather dull coloured. He only hoped it wouldn't make him a target for anything unwanted. Reila Reila herself had come to the willow this night in hopes of peering at the stars in the night sky, with the tentative expectation of spending this time… alone. It was perhaps because of this intention that tonight’s sky was neither as luminous nor as beautiful as she would have hoped for it to be. Suddenly, her honey eyes rested on a cluster of superbly beautiful golden stars. The mare briefly wondered at the oddity, though it quickly became apparent that these stars were not real stars—they were moving toward her… for they belonged to another soquili. Her breath caught as the stallion made a sudden movement—had he seen her? She was quickly relieved when it appeared that he simply wanted to lie down for a moment. After all, even Reila was not immune to the natural allure of the uni-soquili. She spent a few moments hidden, merely staring at the other in wonderment. Too soon, her enchantment got the best of her, and her hooves delicately brought her to her feet and forward, toward this handsome soquili. “Hello?”

Regulus Regulus was soon aware of movement and the soft breath of another creature, he was not scared though -his experiences had showed him that if they had wished to attack he would not have known of their presence until it was far too late to worry about anything but escaping. That said as the view of a mare drifted towards him throught the misty canopy he couldn't help but almost gasp and gap in wonder at her, she was.... stunning. There was no other word for it. Catching himself from making a fool of himself he focused on her hooves for a moment before looking to her eyes. He smiled softly, his own eyes shining gold in the dull light. "Hello."
Standing up he took a step towards her, "I hope I am not trespassing on your land. I have travelled a long way and only wished for a rest." Regulus had learnt a long time ago that sometimes it was best to apologize first and run away later if that didn't work, after all he could not help that his job -healing anyone who needed him- often took him to strange and unusual lands, it was because of this that he had begun learning many new languages. Reila Any other day, Reila would have shut down and moved on, or at least, had a little fun at the other’s expense. There was no room for her critical eye tonight, though, so it seemed. The novelty, the beauty of the other soquili had set all of her standards and usual mannerisms on hold. There was something to be said about the richness of his voice, coupled with the sincere apology—who could resist such a sound? There would be no pretenses tonight. Not for Regulus. Not for Reila. The mare responded thoughtfully, carefully, hoping to win herself a few more words from the unicorn. “This,” she motioned to the general area with her pale nose, “is as much your land as it is mine… please, feel free to stay. I was only here to look at the stars… though it would appear that a star has found me!” That had been an unplanned reference to Regulus’ stunning pelt, and as Reila realized this, she had to chuckle a little, an inviting sound in the mist surrounding them. “My name is Reila,” she continued quietly. “May I ask yours?”

Regulus Regulus felt a blush warm his cheeks at her words, most others he met disliked his form -finding it spooky rather than nice, yet it was a much needed change to not be needed for healing and not feel like he had to shy away from his true self. "Regulus," he said, almost blurting it out, "my name is Regulus. It is a pleasure to meet you Reila." He liked the way her name rolled off his tongue, and was fascinated by how both of their names began with an 'R' he finally understood what messgae he had read from the stars. You shall meet someone with the same letter as yourself under a dull mist Sometimes he interpretted the meaning incorrect but he had been sure at the time that he hadn't despite not understanding what it meant.
He smiled again, "I am glad you do mind my presence here." He looked around and as he did his stomach grumbled. A little embarassed he coughed and spoke in a much lower voice, "It seems I am left hungry from my journey... do you happen to know where food may lie in this area?" For a short while he tried to avoid eye contact but after a while he felt them call to him and could resist no longer. "Your eyes are beautfiul by the way."
