The three main things for me is: I've fallen in some broken glass while practicing in the school parking lot, tripped on stairs while on my way to practice (I saved my flute but ended up hurting myself more), and the worst is getting stung by 2 bees while having a march off during summer band camp. I stayed at attention though & didn't cry while testing biggrin What happened to you guys?? (:

Hm...I'll put them in order of most painful. The number in parenthesis is embarassment rankingXD
1-I ran into a pipe on the side of the school. it left a bruise, but i never noticed it until about a week later, and it took me almost a year to realize where the bruise came from. It was in front of the entire clarinet section too. (2)
2-While doing a backward march on a muddy field, i slipped in a large mud puddle and nearly took out the senior behind me. Luckily i managed to hold my footing enough that only my pants legs got covered. (3)
3-On a different muddy field another year, we had to do a 4-5 march to the left. Well, my ending spot was on a very slippery mud pile. I touched and closed and slid and nearly collided with my sl, who was at the 4-spot(1)

During a practice, I slipped in mud and couldn't get up because everytime I tried to get up I'd slip again. My band director yelled "Justice, are you hurt?" and I replied "Only my pride!" Ahahaha.
This one, I'm not sure if it was more embarrassing or painful.. Ok so we were at a football game, and the band was standing around while the football team practiced. Anyway, a football flew through the goal, hit me straight on the head, it knocked me unconscious, AND I fell in a puddle and ruined my uniform for the night. I hurt me so bad I was too out of it to march the show.. sweatdrop

One day during band practice, we were all on the field marching, and it had rained so there were mud puddles everywhere. The entirety of my section had somehow fallen into a big puddle right in the middle of the field, and my band director was already on the verge of laughing. I thought I would be smart and walk around the puddle and only break formation for like two seconds, but I tripped and fell into the puddle face first. My band director was laughing so hard we all thought he would fall out of the tower he stood in. He still tells me to watch out for puddles to this day, and he tells all the new freshmen the story every year.

Okay...
1. We were walking onto stage for band and the girl in front of me dropped and tied her shoelace while I wasn't looking and I tripped over her, I saved my flute, thank gosh, but I hit my chin. >.<
2. I was on the wrong song when we were playing the Nutcracker. >.<
3. We were going to a football game but a tuba near my section turned the tuba and it hit me out cold for half of the game. Dx

My Freshman year, my high school was invited to play at the Inaugural Heritage Festival for Barack Obama's Presidential inauguration. 6abc interviewed us one day and Asked us to do our halftime show. At my school, We march Show style/HBCU. WE finished our halftime and we started our band dance. While being taped during our dance, I decided to be a bit of a show off and lean back further than everybody else......... sweatdrop I fell flat on my butt in front of the camera, making the whole band laugh.....I still hear about it til this day lol

I nearly passed out at the first football game of the season, and was too sick to march the show...i ended up crying because i had to watch them march onto the field without me...it was also kinda embarassing because a bunch of my friends were at the school the game was at...

During band camp freshman year, we had to go to the local big basketball/concert arena to play for the entire faculty of the school district (to "pump up the teachers" or whatever for the next school year). It's always 100+ during the summer here, and we were in full uniform (minus helmets). I got overheated and threw up before we performed. >///<
And this year, during one competition, my helmet slid all the way back because of the sweat. I looked terrible. D:

All the stands were lined up for rehersal with extra ones on the end. My friend logan was trying to get through to his seat (Behind me!) and knocked all the stands down. They started falling like dominoes until they hit our band directors instruments and hit a tuba case which fell on me leaning over to get a screw. I found out that the tuba player was absent so he left his instrument in the case...

I've only been in band a year so I don't have that good a story....but the most embarassing thing that happened to me was one time when I pulled a slide out from my french horn to get spit and stuff out and when I tried to put it back in again it got all stuck....so for the rest of band (like 7 min.) I just sat there like an idiot trying to stick it in, then failing, then trying to put it back in again and at the end I asked my director wut to do. He just said "Have u EVER done this b4?" and I was all "Uh...ya..." and then he flipped the slide the other way and it slid in super easy (it's one of those uneven slides) and I just felt super embarassed...I mean I was supposed to KNOW this stuff!!!!!!!!! eek
