We need the sonic type. We already have tons of moves to become sonic, like how Bite became a dark move, and tons of potentially sonic pokemon! Seen below.  , , , , Now Xatu needs an evo, so make it a sonic typed evo! Also, those Lake Guardians used Uproar so effing much, they deserve to be sonic typed.

I seriously doubt it's going to happen. stare
They have have exploted nearly all possible types. They could have a "Light" type, but isn't that the role most Psychic types take? I doubt any new types will emerge, and if they do it will take them a long, long time to catch up to the others.

Zetshimaru doesn't think it will happen. But Zetshimaru does wish to know how Porygon would be a sonic type. Porygon is a computer program, not a radio.

Sonic-type? No. Just no. Now if a new type does emerge, I would love to see these offensive/defensive qualities for it:
Defensive Resistances: Dragon, Steel, Rock, Ground
Defensive Weakness: Grass, Bug, Poison
Offensively hits super effectively: Water, Dragon, Steel
Offensively is resisted by: Grass, Bug, Poison
Such a type would completely rattle the metagame as we know it and would give the currently underused Poison and Grass-types something worthwhile to bring to a team. That of course is besides the fact that it would be the needed "Dark-type to Psychic-type" transition similar to what Generation 2 gave us to answer against the Psychic-type dominate Generation 1 Metagame.

What would be the effectiveness of a sonic type? (What could it hit, what it couldn't and so on)
Zetshimaru things of two things when thing of sonic and sound as a type. First is sonic booms, which seems more like a cool attack (called hyper voice) and the second is sound energy. This energy would easily be covered by the normal type. So Zetshimaru doesn't see it.
Edit: Also don't double, triple, or quad-post. There is an edit button if one forgets things or the post could just have sections in it for addressing different people.

No how does Grass > Sonic?
The only idea of mine that fits is the Human type. Humans brave the elements, forge steel, tame dragons, etc. but get annoyed and scared of poisons and bugs and other grass critters. razz
