LOVERS Down Under appear to be clueless in bed after it was revealed the most popular search on Australian Google is "how to have sex".
Advice on love techniques was the top question tapped into the search engine in the last three months, according a Oz newspaper.
And it appears Aussies also need help when it comes to puckering up - with "how to kiss" the second most searched topic.
Girls also asked Google how to get someone to like them.
And men wanted to know how to ask a woman out.
Shy
Experts said it shows that shy teens and twenty-somethings are now turning to the internet rather than their friends for intimate love lessons.
And the sex education does not stop there with "how to get pregnant" the 17th most popular search.
Experian Hitwise Research Director Alan Long tracks about three million websites daily.
He said the search list showed how the internet is increasingly becoming a confidante for the younger generation.
He said: "They ask things that they wouldn't ask their friends. The wrap-up is pretty similar to the international (search list), but in a slightly different order."
But top searches were not just about the bedroom, with how to lose weight, get a six-pack and make comfort food like pancakes all among the top 10 topics for Aussies.

Eruresto Mmm, pancakes. ^^ But this is truly interesting. I'm trying to remember when/how/from who I learned abouy sex, and I'm drawing a blank. Romance novels for me. ninja The thick ones with a plot, not the thin, cheesy Harlequinn ones. At least, that's what piqued my interest. From there I got curious and started looking stuff up on my own.

I was about 11 or 12 when I started reading the books. Maybe a bit earlier, like 10 or 11. I remember going into Grade 7 and knowing a whole bunch of stuff most teenagers didn't know.

Certainly an interesting thing I must say, an entire country and that is the most asked thing...not sure if that is all about shyness, lack of education or what but certainly interesting.
Now, as for my self, I learned essentially all the basic stuff from Sex ed. (Which now that I look back at it, was surprisingly early and often in my schools) and my mom who was really not shy in the least. More of the less basic stuff is by way of friends and articles online though, must say.

Eruresto So true, so true. So, hi, I'm Josh. ^^ Hi Josh, nice to meet you. xd @ Sauvie - You're lucky that your school had sex ed. smile And that your mom wasn't shy about telling you that. My parents didn't tell me anything, not menstruation, not body hair, nothing. I experienced it, then they'd tell me something, and then the rest I learned myself.

I really was, though again, looking back it seems a bit early now starting it in like maybe grade 4(long time, hard to remember, sorry) but I had continuous sex ed until grade 10 when I was transferred to a school that honestly did not care a damn about anything. Though it is a bit blurry in detail of the classes but the subject I remember and I am glad for those questions. Now, for my Mother she was not shy about it, but she was almost backhandedly insulting about it at times, and it came off more as a joke a lot of the time. Though it was helpful in it's own way xd

Yeah, come to think of it, I had Sex Ed too. It just wasn't very educational, from what I remember. At least the second round, in high school, wasn't.

I don't remember learning much in high school either. I remember learning a bit about STDs and the like, but not much else. There was another class called Family Studies that was basically sex ed, family planning, pregnancy and puberty info (etc), but it wasn't mandatory. I just took it because I thought it'd be easy and fun, and it was. 95%. xd
