How many times? And do you fully understand the story?
Have you also seen the hidden ending, as well as the Japanese version hidden ending called "Deep Dive"?
If you say yes to all of those things, you may be ready for something awesome.

I've beat it once a while ago. I'm a bit hazy on the story. I haven't seen the hidden ending either. :/

Wait until about Feb, then re-play through it. After that, if you have a GBA (Gameboy Advance), you should purchase KH: Chain of Memories. I'm currently playing through that, and the story is frickin amazing. I heard from that a friend that you also get to play as Riku smile
Edit: "Why February?" I bet you're wondering. Well, by the time you're done with Kingdom Hearts and Chain of Memories, it should be about March, and that's when Kingdom Hearts 2 is released.

I'm replaying it right now. I'm currently at the Tarzan World. I heard a while ago that they were releasing KH2 during the holiday season. I hate it when they keep pushing back the release date. gonk

You didn't hear wrong. They just released it in Japan only.
The original early release date was scheduled for Nov 2005 in North America, but that release date was made way back in 2003. They decided to re-work the engine, as that was the main complaint about the game (although personally I had no problem with it).
For about a year now they've let people know that KH2 wouldn't be released in NA until Spring 06.

My eyes hurt... I played Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for 8 and a half hours straight.
Although I completely beat both Sora's and Riku's parts in the game, so I'm now ready for Kingdom Hearts 2 smile
