Forgive me...

My band director spazzes at us (Senior Band) for simple things such as looking at our shoes for no absolute reason..

My band director just can't manage the band properly. Everything's gone dramatically downhill since he's been there; some of it isn't his fault, but he does share some of the blame.

The orchestra director... I remember her being my first music teacher in the 1st grade. We'd go to her room once a week and learn about music and how to sing. She was rather stiff and strict back then, and is the same way now. But, she's great, knows what she's doing, and has high expectations. :]

The jazz director is pretty hilarious, very dedicated, and is an Apple fanboy, but he can be extremely sarcastic and is kind-of a jerk sometimes.

My band director is nice and super duper religious (which isnt a bad thing just putting it out there) but he cant discipline at all. So its quite hard to enjoy band while someone is yelling cuss words and/or shooting at each other with ther ipod touches and that gun app thing with all the gun noises its, all the time

My band director, is very strict, people call him mean but they don't practice. He is also immature so it makes things funny!

I HATE my band teacher. I told her one week that I wouldn't be able to get to the bad room quick enough because I had piano. I told her Id only be like 5 minutes late at MOST. Well she Said okay.
The next week I reminded her that I would be a little late. What did she do? Yelled at me and sai I would be kicked out of band if I wasn't on time. Then she said I rolled my eyes. Iwas trying ot not cry cause I didn't want to be kicked out. I've hated her ever since....(my mom emailed her and was very mean she ddn't mind me being a little late after that.)
Now she hates me because Im not the best at playing flute. Who would be I played oboe throughout Middle shool and had to switch to flute for MB!
Yeah I really hate her she' way to strict!

The first one was amazing.Yeah... I loved Mrs.Palmer. She was almost like any other teenage girl. She loved getting dressed up beautiful and she was so Giggly. Then she had to move to Hawaii with her husband because he was a military vision doctor who served in Hawaii. The Man who replaced her, Mr.Johnson, he was HILARIOUS and I admired him because he was certified to work with Special Ed and he had taught Special Ed before.. Kindergarder Special Ed... My dream job (Besides Singer or Actress!).

Mine was just really awesome and didn't even yell at us when we were being impossible. lol

My first band director, in 5th grade, was...horrible. We just played "Lets go band" over and voer. and over. and over. and over. An we still sucked at it.

My middle school band director was awesome. I learned pretty much everything I know from him. He was young, so he knew how to treat students. He was really funny but was strict if we weren't doing things right. A lot of people disliked him, but those were all the bad kids who never ppracticed and disrupted class.

My Freshman and sophomore director was awesome. Everyone lvoed him, even the people who ahted him. The rest of the school was afraid of him, and I go to a ghetto druggy school where everyone is stupid(well, everyone but the band). It got worse when he left though. I like to say that the school lost the last ounce of common sense when they lsot him. Event he band went downhill

Junior year, he left, and we were unable to find a new director right away. We were left to te choir director, who hadn't done band in years and who had a lot on her mind. It was hard on the band, and we went down in scores really bad. Nobody lliked her, because she would yell at everybody, then pick out specific students to be her favorites or her least favorites. Her least favorites were put through so much hell, the rest of the band started hating them. Her favorites were yelled at so little, they got egos and stopped trying because she would always praise even what they did wrong. A lot fo people quit.

During that time, we ahd an assistant bd, a student at the university. When she graduated, she applied for our open position, and got it. We all lvoe her,a nd she is turning thigns back around. For the first time, even when the old bd was there, we ahve actual staff. Before, we would have a perc instructor, a guard instructor, and for a while a brass instructor, but he left and we never got a new one. Now, we have woodwind, brass, guard, visual and perc techs. Our new bd is really nice, funny, and young, so she can get us to lsiten withotu yellign her head off because she knows what kinds of thigns we respond to. She is fun to be around, and does a good job as our director. Yes, we are takign a logn time to get stuff settled in, as we have our first game next week and only have 3 sets of the opener on the field, but thats because she has to clean up the choir director's mess, which is like clanign up after a tornado wreaked havoc on a fire-burned, earthquake destroyed landfill full of maneating gophers. Plus, we are using striaghtleg style this year, opposed to just regular rollstep. This si a first for my school, so iven that, we are actually doing pretty good.

Im in concert band and orchestra and I have two different directors.
Orchestra:- people are usually afraid of him when practicing and doing concerts, but he's pretty cool other than that...if u practice. His name is Mr. Woodham...and people call the orchestra people P.O.W.'s(Prisoners of Woodham) cuz once you join there is no backing out.He doesn't joke about his music though. My most dreaded piece is Symphony no. 5. Im a double bassist btw.
Conert Band:- Director isnt as strict....but hes fun...and we always have a good laugh when practicing. Electric Bass for concert band. mrgreen

Our band teacher is awesome. She's professional, and she's able to joke around. Way better than my grade school band teachers, I can tell you that.

My band director was one hell of a character. He was a bit flambouyant and most of the kids though he was gay, but eh I think he was just too crazy for them. xp
