So, the other night I was sitting at home, doing the same thing I normally do, surf the web. I'm jobless right now, with a car loan and still waiting on College stuff. I started thinking a bit, too hard and then it became bad from there. I was thinking that this house was more of a prison, cause I don't go out often from it. I felt that my life was going to be worthless. I started to have a panic attack, it was getting hard to breath and I was about to barge out of my house, because I wanted fresh air and this was around 8:30.. I started to calm down two minutes later and something just snapped.
"I'm going to start working out, do something!" So today was my first day, running the block, starting slow and working my way up, even though I thought I was about to cough up blood and pass out. XD..
My point is, anyone have websites, ideas, etc for work outs? I don't have all the fancy gear or memberships though..

Breathe in,
Two words for you, my friend: Kettle Bell

http://www.kettlebelltraining.net/
Might not be your thing, and if it's not, that's cool. You can buy these "bells" at Walmart, I know they typically have a 15lb one and a 20lb one. Just make sure you have a bit of space, and there are all sorts of things you can do with the thing. Squat with the thing, do swings with it (one arm at a time, or both), you could even do some crunches and stuff with it.
Read a bit about it, if you don't like the idea, that's cool. But it's great, easy, and not very expensive at all. If it's not your thing, maybe look for a cheap gym, or get some workout dvds that work fine as well. You could probably find the dvds second-hand for cheap, or always ask for them as a bday or Christmas present. (:
If ya wanna know more suggestions/ideas, feel free to PM me. (or reply to this post, but a PM would guarantee I see what you have to say)
Breathe out.

I second the kettle bell idea. It's a really great workout, you can do intervals (best way to burn fat) and weight training.

Nikolita Does your college have a gym or workout room? Nope, it's a Community College. razz .. I don't really need to burn fat, I actually need to build up muscle instead of burn fat. I hardly have any of that on me.

I say try the kettle bell, and after working out get lots of protein to help build muscle. There's also supplements and things you could take but I honestly will not recomend anything to you. There are all sorts of risks. Your best bet is to just workout hard; jogging, kettlebell stuff (which you can find workout vids on youtube, btw), maybe get some dumbbells, etc...and take in plenty of protein. Maybe even a protein shake every now and then.
If you do decide to start taking any supplements or anything (which can get costly) to make you "bigger" than PLEASE read all of the warnings and DEFINITELY do your research. But as I said, best bet is to workout a lot, and have a good protein-packed diet. (:
Breathe out. Proud 06’er. <3

Valgex Nope, it's a Community College. razz Have you double checked that there isn't a gym or are you guessing that there isn't one because you haven't seen one? I ask because I think most community colleges have gyms. But at my old community college, the gym was in a separate building and way on the other side of campus. So it could easily go unnoticed if you didn't know what it was! I think ours had a pool and weight room, maybe other stuff. I never went there much. xp But point is, if you haven't double checked whether you guys have a gym, do so! It could be there but tucked away where you wouldn't really notice it! 3nodding
