Private rp between myself and Natty-Chan.  It was early morning, birds were just stirring from their perches, small creatures poking noses from their burrows and dens to greet the day. Mist hung over the clearing, not yet melted away by the sunlight that was just starting to peek over the tops of the mountains. Smaller animals weren't the only creatures stirring this early morning. A mare tread softly through the grasses, head swinging from side to side with wide crystal eyes.
There was so much life down here in the lowlands. So much different from the snowy mountains from which she came. There was life there aswell, but not in the abundance that was found here. Sunshine was delighted when her movement kicked up a swirl of butterflies having their morning meal. She gave a crystaline whinny of delight, tossing her head up and watching the colorful insects flit away. "Oh." She breathed, her thickly furred tail swishing slowing behind her. She resisted the urge to chase after the butterflies, giving a smile before moving onward. She had much to explore and a new home to find before the day was over and night fell.

Traveling sure was tiring, especially when most of it was done at night. So as morning approached, the large winged stallion found himself dozing in the clearing. He was so tired that he didn't even take notice of the dew forming on his wings and mane. With his nose tucked by his legs, the only sign of life that came from the stallion, was the occasional swivel of an ear.
Abel's nap continued as the dawn slowly turned into they day. Over time, he was joined by another, though he wasn't alerted to that fact just yet. The mare wasn't quite close enough for him to catch her exclamation or whinny, but the increasing rustle of the grasses made him semi-aware of something nearby. Slowly, his eyes blinked open as he lifted his head from the ground, giving his head a quick shake before peering around.

Sunshine continued to roam the clearing, nibbling at the sweet grasses and basking in the warmth of the day that surrounded her. She could almost take a nap right at that moment, it was so peaceful and calm. But she had much to do.
A movement off to the side caught her attention, her head swivelling in the direction of what she discovered to be another soquili. A stallion of all things, silver maned and clothed in black. Which much be getting terribly hot in the strengthening rays of sunlight. The mare was a small distance from him still, and obviously she hadn't been noticed, so she was able to observe him for a few moments, chocolate ears perked and blue eyes curious. He seemed to be just waking up, either from a morning nap or a nightly sleep, it was uncertain.
"Good morning." She called softly, not wanting to startle him. It wouldn't be a good start to a new meeting, scaring the other soquili before they'd even exchanged greetings.

Still rousing from his nap, Abel was still blissfully unaware of the mare nearby. But then again, when wasn't he unaware? Yawning, his gold tipped wings fluttered softly, splashing himself lightly with the water that had collected during his sleep. A temporary relief from the rising heat. His clothing was bothersome at times, but at this moment he wasn't going to deal with it as he became more aware of his surroundings.
Slowly, he clambered onto his feet, stumbling just a bit from his current groggy state. Once up on his hooves, the stallion stretched his legs out. That's when he heard the greeting. His ears flicked in the direction it came from and turned his head to see who was calling to him. Seeing the mare standing there, he gave her a slightly confused look. He didn't seem to know her. He also wondered how long she was there for, or how long he had been sleeping. Soon though, he didn't worry about such fickle thoughts as he gave her a warm smile. "Good morning. How are you today?"

She watched him wake, shift his wings and climb carefully to his feet. When he looked her way, she cocked her head and studied him, noting little circles of clear crystal perched on his nose. She'd never seen such a thing.
Sunshine smiled and wrinked her nose faintly, looking amused. "A bit lost to be honest. But since I have no where to go, I'm not too concerned." She picked her way carefully through the grass towards him, stopping a handful of lengths away from him. He was covered in dew, so he must have been here awhile. A curious thing to sleep out in the open. "Are you from around here?"

The stallion's pelt gave a small shake under his vestiment, causing a bit of dew to drip from his clothing. As the mare approached him, the smile never left his face, looking her over briefly. The uni's fur seemed rather thick compared to his, or even other soquili he had met, this lead him to believe she was possibly from a colder climate, otherwise that fur must be excruciating in the Summer. At her comment about being lost, he tilted his head some. "Lost? Do you perhaps need help heading back or getting to where you need to go?" He offered.
"Am I from around here?" He repeated slightly when she had questioned his origin, so to speak, "well... hmm, let me see where I am." he then glances around, looking for the landmarks he had memorized before taking his journey, so he knew he was near home. He did not see any, so he looked back to her and shook his head, "no, I am not."

"Oh! No. I know how to get home. But I no longer have a home to return to." She frowned and looked sad at the thought before sighing and shivering away the memories. "Nor do I know where I need to go. So I guess you could call me, mmmm, misplaced rather than lost." The mare smiled again, eyes crinkling.
As he spoke of not being from the area, Sunshine wondered where he was from, dressed in such attire. But she'd only met the stallion and it was improper to ask such personal questions. "So you're as misplaced as I am at the moment." She offered with a gentle laugh, tail swishing through the grass behind her, scattering dew from the blades.

"Oh, that is unfortunate, I am sorry to hear that. I truly hope that you find a home soon." Abel had commented. His heart really wanted him to ask her to join him on his journey and return home with him, but he knew that would be too bold and too soon, considering he had just met this mare. If by chance, they met again and she still did not have a home, then he will present the offer to her. When she smiled, he felt a tad better. At her comment, he chuckled lightly. "One could say that. This was more of a personal choice of temporary misplacement than anything." He explained, tossing his mane, only to get slapped in the face with his wet ponytail, letting out a snort when this happened.
