How many of us have past experience in other religions? If you've had past experience, how active were you in that community? What made you leave? How did you come to Satanism?

Luciferian High Priest How many of us have past experience in other religions? If you've had past experience, how active were you in that community? What made you leave? How did you come to Satanism? Looked into christianity, but just could never take it seriously.

I'll give everyone a few details of my past experience with religion. Perhaps it will give everyone a little insight on me.
I used to be very active in a fundamentalist Christian church. My ex-wife was very involved in the childrens ministry and daycare service. I was lead guitarist in the churchs music ministry (as well as a certified minister.)
My ex-wife and I were in a terrible marriage. After some serious issues on both sides, we decided to seperate. At this time, I was told I was not welcome at the church. A few months later, my ex-wife and I attempted to reconcile our marriace, but issues arose again, and we eventually went through our divorce proceedings. I was again told to leave the church (as well as "lose" my certification as a minister.)
After being "excommunicated" from the church and my wife leaving me (later I found out because she was dating two other guys, everyone in the church knew about it..) I felt betrayed by everyone and everything I believed. I did some "soul searching" and did a lot of research on other religioins and their outlook on life.. and if there was even a point to staying in this exsistence.
I had some basic knowledge of LaVeyan Satanism and began to do more indepth research on it. This lead me to Luciferianism. The "Adversarial Doctrines" and the "Luciferian Laws" really appealed to me. I began intense study of the Luciferian path and have never regretted it.
Now, after so much time has passed, I have a small local "following" of Luciferians that I've introduced to the path.. and have never been happier. Most "converts" have been Agnostics.. but I have managed to "convert" a Catholic girl as well. I have been "saved"

^totally didn't know about Luciferianism...
the story goes back aways. my mom was a mainly scottish protestant. my ex-father was raised by his unforgiving irish catholic mother and his sorta ok from what i hear father... in england. the 2 met up at some point. His mother discriminated against her and his father attempted to comfort her. they managed to get married. he was so annoyed at his ma, that he demanded the children be raised non-religious, so thankfully, i was never baptised. he claimed to be atheist. anyways...now i hate my whole family. my mom is sometimes ok. i went through catholic schools k-8 and 9-11 and a bit. i dropped out senior year. am now at community college. i was never christian. when i was little i mocked the idea. i came home and said (little kid) "mom, they're so stupid, they keep talking about this guy Jesus and they think he actually exists!" so i was never fooled by it. just battered a bit. i've lived a life of abuse and now my parents are divorcing and i'm talking to no one but my mother. who i live with. back to religion. i've gone back and forth through atheism and agnosticism, experimented with my own belief systems, and have even been interested by the egyptian deities...tried wicca...never got far...i'm a really bad gardener and they wanted me to grow stuff. lol. paganism seemed interesting but those are in the past. i somehow got into satanism and after reading horrible things about it, actually found a church and read the bible etc. in my teen years...lavey's really the only satanist i've actually studied...so i'm keeping an open mind but whatever. i'm just here to see if i can cement my beliefs and get more information on the different perspectives of satanism...sorry for long post.

I have kissed Satan, He is my Lord...I've been raised in a Christian home... thankfully, not such a strictly devout one, but forcibly Christian nonetheless. I was never very devout myself; I believe I only prayed once, as a youth yet. Somewhere along the line, every time Mother dragged me to church with her, I could not listen to what was being said without a burning fury building inside of me. At that point, I was old enough to be able to put my foot down... my decision lead to some lovely screaming matches, but I've not been near a church in nigh two years. I'd been skipping about religions for a while at that point, first Atheist, then Agnostic, then something all my own that I had no name for. I'm not sure what nudged me upon this path, but the more I learn, the more at ease I become. I am fairly confident at this point that I've found the Truth, and I have no intent to go elsewhere. ... He promised in Hell that I'll never be bored.
