Her mind was always running, running, running... and now it was even more so because Malinda was still injured and it bothered her very badly.
Being always so worried about losing those around her she got the strong urge to snuggle close to her love. Turning onto her side, Elegy inched her way next to Malinda and gently draped an arm over her side and nuzzles her nose into Malinda's neck.

 Malinda was bored out of her mind. It had been like this for days on end thanks to her injury in which had gotten infected. Yes, it was still infected. She can't help it that she doesn't like to lay in bed all day nor get others to do things for her when she knows she's totally capable of doing them herself. All that mattered to her was that her mate was with her. Heck, she probably wouldn't care so much about a lot of things if it wasn't for Elegy. Her family was nothing but a mess.
A frown crossed her muzzle as she went on to think about the rest of her family and stopped. As protective as her parents were at heart, they were barely around. Heck, sh didn't even want to go into thoughts about her siblings. Sometimes she wised that she could just---
Her thoughts flew away as she felt the soft, loving nuzzle of her mate. This was all she needed right now. She didn't care about her paw, or that she was possessed. Elegy promised to remain with Malinda despite the possession that rested within her. Though there was still a few obstacles to pass Elegy though... Her parents. Malinda didn't care what her siblings thought about her being a lesbian and in love with another female. It's her parents that have to, per say, 'approve' of this. And if they didn't, she would run away with Elegy. But as if they would disapprove of this.
There she went again, thinking about things she would rather not. She turned around to face her lover with a soft smile. Her helmet was set aside on a nearby night stand. Her voice was soft and loving as she spoke.
"I love you." Those were the only words she found herself saying as she flung her own arm around Elegy, pressing their noses together.

Eyes fluttered open to see Malinda's golden ones staring back at her. A deep blush rose over her cheeks, turning her face red hot at the nose kiss. "I-i-i love... you too." she stuttered out. A nervous smile wiggled out over her mouth as she tried her best to not seem so.... awkward.
Sensing that her mate was stir crazy Elegy decided to ask her to go eat with her downstairs to at least get her out of the room she was cooped up in. "Wanna.. go get some breakfast downstairs?" Her other arm under her side reached up and she stroked Malinda's chest fur as she averted her eyes. "I make a really yummy scrambled egg and toast sandwich."
She sat up quickly and brushed out her fur with her paws, straightening herself up to feel like she looked presentable. Be it just for Malinda or a chance of happening upon her housemates or family she wanted to look her best. Elegy turned her head and stretched out her wings and began to brush them gently, straightening up stray feathers. After going over both sides she flitted her wings and smiled, please that she was certain she was now looking her best... for an earlier morning anyways.

Her smile grew as she seen her mates beautiful teal eyes staring into her soft golden ones. She found it cute how Elegy was still so shy and awkward. At least she knew Elegy was all hers what with how shy elegy could be, even around her.
Tail feathers waged eagerly. Oh how bad Malinda wanted to get out of this room now that her paw was mostly better. She drooped her fox tail over Elegy's side as she stroked her chest fur. With a light purr, she nodded. The sound and thought of food made her stomach rumble. "That sounds most wonderful, Elegy my love."
Malinda watched Elegy straighten herself up and giggled a bit. Oh how cute she found Elegy to be at times. She herself got up, making sure to be easy on her still infected paw. The bandages were still on it to help prevent further infections and such. She shook her whole body and fluffed up. Within a few seconds, Malinda was straightening her own fur out. She then looked over to her helmet, contemplating on weather to wear it or not. Shaking her head, Malinda walked over to Elegy's side lightly and smiled.
"I wonder who all will be out there... Probably not many of them. Most of use seem to be in a bit of a worry cause Tenji's missing... Man, there's just so much going on ya know. I actually feel like forgetting about all of it and only caring about myself and you... But that's selfish and heartless of me." Malinda sighed, trying not to let things get to her.

Elegy's eyes fell to Malinda's paw and her heart sank. Why wasn't it getting any better? She was beginning to feel like such a worry wart and hoped it wasn't annoying her love too much. A longing of wishing she could only do just a small something to help it nagged at the back of her mind.
With a small sigh she let her mind go back to the thought of making breakfast. "So what kinda stuff do you like to eat for breakfast?~" she chimed, feeling now usually happy now. Slipping off the bed and landing on the floor with a quite thud she smiled back at Malinda. She sat up on her haunches and held out a paw to help her love down off the bed if she needed it. She decided any little thing she could do to help would be better than nothing.
Curious about the comment she braved prying. "When did Lady Tenji go missing?" A hint of worried peaked back at her face in her eyes.

"I like pancakes!" Malinda cheerfully sputtered out, her tail feathers wagging as she thought about it. Fluffy, golden pancakes topped with savory maple syrup and smothered in butter all topped off with sweet, delicately cut strawberries. Not to mention crunchy bacon on the side to go with it. She was making herself even more hungry than she was before and giggled to herself. She bit her lower lip just thinking about all the yummy food.
Her thoughts broke as she snapped herself back into reality at the question her mate had asked. With a light frown, she sighed, catching onto Elegy's hint of worry. "For ah... About a week or maybe even longer... But d-don't worry, my love. I'm sure she's alright..." She didn't want Elegy to worry anymore than she already was. Malinda hoped Elegy wouldn't worry as much as Malinda was. Quickly, she tried to change the thoughts to something she thought would be happy.
"H-hows Avia, Elegy?" She gave a light smile.

Elegy's ears flickered a bit when she heard Malinda's request.... Her nose twitched slightly and her lips pursed. "Well... I've never made pancakes before" She cringed as she confessed that to her. Elegy was feeling a bit lacking in the care taker department because now she didn't even know how to make her love's favorite breakfast for her. Drooping ears showed her sadness, but then she braved asking her mate one more question. "Can you show me how to make them so I can make you your favorite breakfast?"
She was saddened by the news of lady Tenji being missing for such a period of time, but chose not to dwell on it because she felt Malinda trying to cheer her up.. or was it her avoiding something.... Well save it for another time.
"She's great! She has a mate and he's a pretty interesting guy.. but he makes her very happy~" Elegy smiled contently at the thought of Avia for she was a wonderful being. "I haven't seen much of her for a while, but I'm just glad she's happy."
With that Elegy started out the door, only to turn around to watch Malinda and make sure she could make her way out just fine.

Giggling lightly she flapped her large, useless wings for fun before folding them to her side tightly. She wondered who else could make pancakes that would possible be home at this time. A light blinks caught her eyes as Elegy asked and she smiled a bit. "Oh, uh... Sure. I can try! I mean, how hard is it to follow instructions on a box?" She laughed and wagged her fluffy tail feathers.
"I think she told me about him... Zeru, was his name? But yeah~ He MUST be a great man to have her heart. He just better treat her right." She frowned, not liking her own experience with males as a bowl and kit. It wasn't too pleasant, those memories. There was only one male that she could remember being a great friend, Khry. Now that she thought of it, it seemed like quite a while since she had last talked to him. A small rush of worry took her by surprise, but quickly she shook it away. She forced a smile to her lips as she went to go look to her mate who was at the door waiting for her.
Once she felt like she was totally back into her current reality, she scurried over to her mate, trying to hide her small limp.

With a nod Elegy laughed lightly. "I'd like for you to help me if you can.. I've never made anything from a box..." After she said that she felt a bit flustered at the fact that she hadn't done a lot of things before.. it made her feel... useless for that moment. Her sorrowful nature was really beginning to become more apparent as she felt more and more unable to do something for her mate... though she was going to try her best.. try to be happier
"Yeah.. Zeru. He's supposed to be different or something.. vampyre?" She had started to trace her finger over a small pattern on the floor. "She told me he's wonderful.. but I haven't met him yet."
As Malinda rushed over Elegy frowned, catching a glimpse of her limp. 'She pushes herself too hard....' A heavy sigh spilled out from her, unable to hide it... or even noticing it really. The one and only other that made her special and wonderful.. and she couldn't do anything for her. She stepped down a couple stairs then turned around and held out her paw to Malinda, hoping to at least be a bit of help to her as she made her way down the stairs. "Be careful Malinda... I don't want you getting hurt again." Her eyes watched her mate's every move.

Her ears drooped backwards at the mention of a vampyre. From what she knew, those things sucked blood and such. "He uh... Doesn't suck her blood, does he?" Malinda frowned with an angry expression on her face. If she found out that this Zeru guy was hurting Avia in any way and making her hide it, she was going to track him down and show him the wrath of a reaper. Avia was one of Malinda's very precious friends.
Malinda's ear flicked as she followed her mate and took note of the heavy sigh. She herself sighed as well. She had an idea of what the sigh was about. A black paw reached out to the offered red paw. It was her uninjured paw that she had offered back. "It's okay, i won't hurt myself, love..."

Elegy couldn't help but smile at the concern for Avia from Malinda. A small smile peeked at the corners of her mouth as she decided to try joking... "As far as I know, no... but the biting could make for a good time~" Warmth overcame her cheeks as she blushed, feeling a little weird and silly for saying such a thing.
"But yeah.. uhhh... She's head over heels and all that good stuff so I'm sure she's happy as can be with him." she said as she sensed some tension from her love. "No worries m'love~" A loving mood began washing over her again, leaving the feelings of frustration behind her.
Gently she held her mate's paw and lead her down the stairs. "Well we made it." Letting go of her paw she took a deep breath and looked around at the house downstairs. She hadn't really seen much of it since she had been here and she was pretty happy to be out of the room for a bit... and sure that Malinda was even happier to be. "Where's the kitchen again? Elegy looked around, feeling a bit lost.
