Nicolieus had wondered a bit away from where she had decided she was going to stay for the time. She needed to clear her head, and think things straight again. It normally wasn't hard, but there was something about that monochromatic male that seemed to get her mind racing about other things. It confused her, yet made her even more curious about him.
The day was slowly setting to night. The best time, in her opinion. Her tail flicked as she moved slowly threw the long grass. It had already turned brown from the heat of the land. Normally it would be a golden yellow, but lately it seemed to be overly warm. Almost unbearable in Nicolieus' eyes.

Naiya had found her self a nice old dead tree to perch in. The female leopard was in love with her new found freedom. She was getting bigger and she could even some what hunt on her own. Nothing big, yet, but she brought home smaller prey to the den on a regular basis.
Now she was scoping the nearing nights horizon for something to really test her skills on. Maybe a jackal would stray off in the night and she could catch one of those. Jackals were fierce and could kill a leopard cub if they wanted to. That was something she wanted to bring back.
A smirk rested on her maw. The female would find a prize. She was sure of it.

Nicolieus noticed a dead tree in the distance. As well as something else in it. Though, she couldn't tell from where she was on what it exactly was. For the moment, her thoughts had changed to that odd cream colored thing in that tree. Her ears perked up as she decided to check things out. Curiosity was her very weak point in life. She always had to know what something was if they caught her eye.
She changed her direction, but only slightly. Moving slow and steady towards whatever it was. The sky was a light orange-pink and slowly fading to purple. It was almost looked as if it could be a picture. Everything was pretty calm and still, other then the slight movement of grass here and there as she moved. Her tail twitching every few steps she took. Her dark teal eyes fixed upon the dead tree, and the interesting thing in it. Maybe it was nothing at all, and her eyes had deceived her once again. Or it could be someone that might prove a bit of entertainment.

Movement caught the young huntresses eye first. She lifted a brow and peered as something approached her. She couldn't tell if it was lion or leopard from how high she was but she could tell it wasn't something she could hunt.
Great.
The leopardess frowned getting up as best she could on the branch.
"Anything your staring at in particular?" She lifted a brow gazing at the female before her.

As she moved closer, she realized it was nothing more then just another leopardess. Though, she looked like she was much younger then Nicolieus was. She gave a shrug as the female asked her a question as she moved closer to the other. She stopped just close enough to see and hear the other just five. She let a good moment pass before she actually answered. As if she was studying the other completely before making any attempt to answer her question.
"Should there be something I should be staring at?" She asked her calmly. Her look upon her face was quite placid. She blinked her eyes slowly before sitting down, looking up at her. Still with the same look. The look she gave everyone. It was hard to get more from her in that aspect of things.

"You just looked like you were looking at something interesting," Naiya informed her. The younger female started her way down the tree. Naiyas movement were fluid but still a little clumsy though. She wasn't the best tree climber for a leopard.
Her paws made contact with the ground after a few moments of climbing.
"Its been a long time since I've seen another leopard Im not related to." She was assuming at least the two werent related. Her father had spots as did some of her brothers.

She gave the other a slight shrug of her shoulders as she watched her climb down from the tree. Curiously, she watched the other. She really hadn't ran into many young leopards before. A cub, and this one was about it. Or that's at least what she was thinking on. "Really?" She asked. Still placid and calm. "I take it, you have a big family then?"
"I can't say I have the same problem as you. I see more who I'm not related, then who I am. " Though, Nicki only had a brother. Who, she couldn't remember when the last time she actually saw him.

The female gave a smile.
"Yeah you could say that," The female thought about it. She did have a large family didnt she. Though Naiya didnt have many leopards to compare to. Family size wise.
"What are you doing out here on your own?" Naiya tilted her head. She at least assumed the female was on her own. She couldn't see anyone at least

"I couldn't imagine how that is." She told the other honestly. Though, she'd never really thought she'd need more then just one sibling. Having more must have been quite a pain. Though, she loved her brother dearly, she just couldn't imagine having more then just him.
"Oh, I'm always on my own." She told the other. "I haven't really a place that I totally live" Which, she was kinda hoping that would soon come to an end. It just depended on how her monochromatic friend felt about her. She figured it would soon be revealed in time. She had all the time to wait and find out. "You?"

The female listened to the older leopard talk. It was a little exciting meeting another leopard and female at that. She'd really only been around her mother. The family she was apart of was over run by males.
"I live with my large family, " She tilted her head to the side. "Its hard some times but I suppose thats why I go out and hunt. To get some fresh air."

"That would be a good reason to get out on your own." She agreed with an slow nod. Everyone was interesting in their own way. This female was because of how big her family was. Then again, Nicki wasn't going to pry into that anymore then what the female was saying as it was.
"I'm Nicolieus, by the way" She said realizing that she hadn't said anything towards a name. It was good to at least say it once. Even if the other might not remember it. Then again, some creatures did have good memories. Nicki's wasn't too bad, she hoped.

Naiya smiled at the offer of the name. "Naiya," She replied happy to give her name as a sort of exchange.
"Big families are fun but they can be difficult some times and I need air. Im the only girl of eight cubs," She sighed. It wasnt that it was terrible it was just that there were so many. "Hunting is a good escape. "

She nodded and listened to what the other was saying. She still couldn't imagine how that was. "I am the only girl out of two cubs" She said. She started to wonder what it'd be like with more, though the idea wasn't as pleasant as it could have really been. "I think I'm happy that there was only me and my brother." She said with a nod.
"That way, I only had to look after him." She added.

The younger female cracked a smile at that. It made sense but she loved her brothers. Still... every once in a while she liked to get away from all those males.
"You two sound close," She smiled, "Thats really neat you only got stuck with one brother. If you want more you can have some of mine."

"Not so much as we were." She said. It pained her to think about it, but still nothing but a placid look was on her face. She almost looked like she could be a statue, or fake in a sense. "I don't think I'd be able to handle more, to be honest." She simply said with a shake of her head. "One is plenty enough for me."
That was the truth. Though, her brother was more kind then any male she had ever met. She got lucky there, she figured. Though, he did get her and him into much trouble while they were growing up. She had to save him countless of times.
