Yukiyu enjoyed fireworks. He would wait out in the glades for the lights to brighten the sky with it's many colors. He laid on the grass as a light breeze blew over him and the land. He smiled as he yawned a little. Waiting for the show to start, but it'd probably still be a good little while until then.
"Maybe there'll be more Gladiers here to watch..." He spoke to himself quietly with a slight sigh. He hated the wait, but it would be worth it.

Samson smiled at all lady gladiers he had gathered. Of course, he didn't really care for any of them, they were just trinkets to walk around with, signs of his "manliness." He had planned to watch the fireworks in the stars with the ladies, what could be more romantic? At least to them of course. Whatever kept them around. As his gaze fell from the stars to the hillside, he noticed a tiny, bothersome speck sitting smack dab in his spot. In his confused state, one of the girl gladiers spoke up.
"Oh Samson, your brow all furrowed like that isn't very attractive!" she said. The rest of the girls began to giggle.
No, keep your cool, he thought.
"Now Mr. Samson is all ready to tackle the night?" The girls laughed again.
Now they were just starting to annoy him. He brushed them off with an excuse and a sweet exchange of departure words. He then skidded off to figure out what was sitting in his spot. His first instinct was to just move the gladier out of the way, but something was different about this gladier.
"And just what do you think you're doing?" he chided.

Yukiyu's ears moved up a little to catch the voice from behind. His bright yellow eyes look up at Samson, blinking. "Hm? Oh... Is this your spot?" He said as he rose to his feet, feeling bad for being in someone's place. "I'm really sorry about that... I'm just waiting for the fireworks to start is all. I'm Yukiyu, but Yuki for short." He apologized then introduced himself with a light smile on his face. His gray-blue fur looked like the night sky with the yellow markings as the stars.

Samson's eyebrow rose in confusion. "Why would you move so easily like that? Y'know, most gladiers would fight back or somethin'" Yes, this was a strange gladier indeed. Samson turned around to see if any of the girls had come running back, but unfortunately he was by himself. Well, by himself with a stranger. Oh well, you snooze you lose, Samson thought, as he sat down on the grassy hill. The fireworks hadn't yet begun, but something felt different about the air. "Yeah, I'm Samson. I don't have a shortened name, so sorry." Wait a moment, isn't this kind of awkward? Now Samson was embarassed. "Why don't you like ... leave. Isn't it weird for you to just be sitting here with me?"

Yukiyu tilted his head to the side a little with a raise eye brow. "Weird? I wouldn't find it weird to watch fireworks with other gladiers around." Blinks then it finally clicked into his mind. He backed a bit away from Samson. " Oh! I'm sorry! I'd leave, but then I'd miss the fireworks..." His ears drooping even more than they appeared. He was always super bummed out when he missed the fireworks.

Samson smirked a little as the unfortunately naive gladier slowly figured it out. "Nahh. Just stay, you'll miss the 'works" Samson flashed one of his lady killer smiles, putting as much of that persuasive ooze into his voice as posisble.
A small breeze picked up, and a few glowing bugs came out to dance in the warm, summer night air. They sparkled so dazzlingly that Samson thought they might blocked out the fireworks. He turned his head to face the sky, and tried to pick out a few constellations, though truthfully, he was just making them up (as a young, immature gladier, Samson had little to no knowledge of the "finer things" in life). The breeze then subsided, and Samson realized he had left the poor gladier standing there alone, awkwardly.
"So what're we looking at here, Yuki? Colored explosions? Little hearts followed by a fellow asking his female gladier friends out?" Samson chuckled a little, convincing himself that he was making fun of the fireworks, though truthfully even he was a bit excited. When was the last time Samson had watched fireworks? He was always too busy with his fellow gladiers, that he hadn't truly been alone for a while to do anything as frivolous as watch fireworks. Even now, Samson's eyes were flicking back and forth between the gladier and the sky, and then back to the glowing bugs, in anticipation for the show to come. He couldn't stand having nothing to do.

Yukiyu's tail wagged with joy, "Do you really mean it, Samson?" He smiled as he watched a near by firefly float past him. He, too, looked up at the sky with awe in hopes for the show to start.
"Hm? Was just staring out at the horizon in hopes for the firework show to start soon." He sighed a little as he laid down with a frown. He was getting tired of waiting for the fun to start. Scoffs at the question, "Pfft... I really don't mind about other gladier's business. I just worry about myself usually, but that doesn't seem to work either. Rolling his eyes a bit since he didn't really like seeing others being asked out when he was all by himself.
Yukiyu looked back at Samson," Did you ask your female friend out?" Asking since he could tell by the smile that this gladier was a lady's man.

The starry gladier's tail wagged back and forth excitedly, as he realized he could sit in the great presence of Samson (perhaps he was excited over the fireworks, but Samson certainly didn't think so). "Sure I mean it ... but it's not like I command everything you do. You really are a weird circini, that's for sure." As Yukiyu looked towards the sky with hope, Samson found himself turning his head in that direction as well.
"I don't recall asking what you were doin' twerp," Samson scoffed. The other gladier sighed in frustration, though Samson could care less if the fireworks started now or a hundred years from now. "So you're a loner? And who says 'pfft?" he asked, while hitting the gladier playfully on the ear. Yukiyu looked a bit downcast so he jokingly added, "B'awwh is the little Yuki all by himself? All alone with no girly gladiers to love him~" Poor thing, he thought. Well, if he can't get the ladies, that's not my fault.
Looking a bit taken back by the gladier's simple question, Samson replied, "Me? Ask someone out? Sure, I've done it plenty of times. Never seriously though. Most girls just want to play with me- if you know what I mean." He winked after answering, to extend that "friendly" charm. However, his friendly gesture was interrupted by a loud crack, followed by an explosion of colored lights that were tinted red, blue and yellow. The fireworks reflected dreamily off the water, creating the optical illusion of a symmetrical show.

Yukiyu pawed back at Samson, "I'm not a loner. I have friends...They just hate fireworks or are off doing their own thing." He gave the spotted gladier a frown along side a glare. "I say 'pfft', it's my way of showing no interested in other things like girls... They always seem to pass me up." He complained as he sat up with a sigh. He jumped into the air as the show began to start. He smiled widely as he just watched in awe. "Finally! Took it's sweet time."

((changed my rp format a bit, hope you don't mind <3))
xxxxxSamson batted the chaser back playfully and said, "I bet you don't have friends at all ahaha. So you like fireworks? Why's that?" Samson grinned and let out a gasp, as one of the colored lights caught him off guard. It was orange, like his eyes, in the shape of a squiggle, sort of like an S. He chuckled while thinking, Huh. Well, they set one off for me, didn't they?
xxxxx"Pass you up? Well it's cause you're so confident. Start struttin' around, gain some friends and you'll be fine. 'A course," he paused and flicked his hair, "It's not exactly my fault, is it?" He chuckled and batted the chaser playfully, causing Samson's chains to twinkle quietly in the dark of night. More fireflies flew off the ground in fright from the fireworks, and it seemed like everything around them was lit. Samson glanced over to Yuki, and giggled to see him so awestruck by the simple colors. Samson tilted his head and said, "I don't get it Yuki," pausing to stare once again at the fireworks, "What's so special 'bout these lights?"

Yuki frowned at Samson the sighed after the first works were going off. " I don't have friends, but fireworks are what keep me happy." He explained as he watched the fireworks. Blues, reds, whites, and every color of the rainbow could be seen. Filing the sky with a loud 'bang' and light.
"You really think so, Samson?" Asking as his tail wagged a little at the thought of being confident. "I don't see why it would be, Samson." He chuckled along with him then went back to watching the firework show. They were going to bring out the finally soon. "Fireworks are an art in the form of a pyrotechnic. There's a lot more to them than you can see. It takes a lot of hard work and planning to make sure everything is done right." He explained to the confused chaser.

xxxxxSamson looked at Yuki curiously. "N-not a single friend?" he said, surprised and wide-eyed. Samson had been joking, but it seemed the starry gladier was dead serious. Fireworks keep him happy? Samson thought, but ... what does he do when the fireworks aren't around?. Out of a pang of sympathy, Samson said, "Uh ... well b-bro ... I'll be your friend?"
xxxxxSamson looked down, blushing and embarassed. Something seemed so awkward about that comment. Even if he did have the best intentions- that was exactly what was wrong. Samson never had the best intentions. He was a troublemaker, not a friendly guy. He started to giggle at the sight of Yukiyu getting so excited about confidence. It was like he'd never heard the word before. Playing along, Samson said, "Yeah man, just start acting like you know what you're doin', and it'll be like you know what you're doin'!" Samson wasn't exactly good with words, so he wouldn't be surprised if the gladier understood what he said. He would be a real bro if he could decode it.
xxxxxBut as Yukiyu began to explain the fireworks, Samson started having seconds doubts. Yukiyu was sounding so ... nerdy right now. Smiling a bit uncomfortably, he said, "Woah there little bro. There's too many big words in that. What's a ..." he paused, trying to say it the way Yuki did, "Pie-roh... tek-nick?" It didn't sound quite the same way when Samson said it. But well, Samson was no genius. He then continued by saying, "How about saying a lot of work goes into 'em? A lot less nerdy to me, y'know?" He smiled stupidly to let Yuki know he was joking.
