After the Doctor appointment some time had passed before they headed back to the Labs again, this time to see about having Aikyn meet with one of his blood parents. He was both eager and worried about it, wondering what they were likely, if they were nice, what he should say, what he should do. As such he hadn't slept much at all the night before which made it so June didn't sleep the night before due to all his loud pacing.
The giant of a man was carrying his son along in his arms, a smile on his lips, as they made their way there, "This time around it says your going to be meeting with a unicorn. Its the one that gave you those legs and that horn I gather." June was saying, smiling over getting to meet something nice the first time around instead of something like what he'd met when it came to his other son and his genetics.
Aikyn leaned into June's chest, eyes half closed, and he merely nodded as he was still quiet worried about it all.

Apoxi was seated behind her desk when they entered, hair wild as usual. Glancing up, she grinned. It was so cute seeing Aikyn being carried around by his dad.
"Hey you two. Here for a meeting?"

June nodded, "Yes, we are." He said, looking down at Aikyn before gently set the boy down on his hooves, stroking his hair in a soothing manner. He wondered if it were his horse blood that made him a little bit on the skittish side. This really was a lot different from the last boy he'd raised but a lot calmer at the same time... even with how skittish Aikyn could be from time to time.
"We were thinking of seeing if he could meet with the Unicorn." He said, hoping that meeting with something pretty and animal like would calm the kid, kids liked animals didn't they?
Aikyn clung to his daddy's hand and looked up at the woman, giving he a little wave with one hand before he set to looking around the area with his mismatched eyes.

"Ah, all right. You might have to stay back on this one, the Unicorn really doesn't like males. He'll be okay with Aikyn cause he's still his son and still - erm innocent," she coughed before the word, giving the man a look through her dark glasses that showed she didn't quite mean 'innocent' as much as 'still a virgin/uncorrupted', "but you'll have to stay back with Daryl."
She stood to show them towards the room, and they were taken down a long hall in the labs, "Any questions before I show you in?"

June lifted an eyebrow and then couldn't help but to chuckle wen he was told that he would need to stay behind due to his lack of 'innocence', "I understand." He said, he would walk with Aikyn for as long as he could and then let the woman take him the rest of the way, "And who is Daryl?" He found himself asking curiously, deciding it must be an assistant or something.
Aikyn looked up at the woman, one hand lifting to scratch curiously at his cheek as though he were attempting to think up any sort of questions that he might have... but coming up with nothing off hand he shook his head rapidly. He was something something might come to him when he was faced with the unicorn that he was going to meet with. Until then he would just have to be patient.

She led them into a large room, separated into three sections. The one to the far left was a gorgeous meadow and some trees, seemingly spring and brightly lit by the sun. The far right was dark, with ground dead and stomped by the thick and fiery hooves of a red eyed black mare that was eating something that dripped red from a trough.
The middle section, however, was the most noticeable as it was a plain stable with some grass in front. Leaning out of it was a brown and white horse with shaggy fur, a sleepy expression, and large soft yellow wings. He was eating oats and looked, well, normal. "That'd be him - ol' Daryl is our pegasus. Umim is to the right and she's out Night Mare, please keep away from her, and to the far left we have Bertram. Our Unicorn - he's probably in the forest area. Just wait by the edge, Aikyn and I'll go get him." she stated softly, pointing for June to head over to the stable.
"Lo" Daryl greeted the two sleepily, seeming the most friendly and easy going of the three. While this was happening, Apoxi disappeared into the trees to find Bertram.

Aikyn gave the nightmare only a momentary glance before shuffling along more quickly after Apoxi in hopes that scary looking horse wouldn't noticed him. The last thing he wanted was to gain the attention of something that was eating... well something else. He gave a shiver before he paused and waited where he was told to wait, moving in place in a slightly nervous manner as he awaited the arrival of the unicorn. He was eager to meet with him, to see what he was like, to see what parts of him they shared. He couldn't help his excitement over this, shifting in place on his hooves.
June watched his boy go, giving him a smile before giving on a glance toward the nightmare. She was an interesting one wasn't she? He had to admit he rather liked her taste in food being a carnivore himself. He grinned at the thought before he turned to look at Daryl, eyes going wide, "Wow... you talk?" Last thing he'd expected was that the horse might talk...

Apoxi returned after a while, followed by an elegant white horse with a long, well groomed mane and tail, and shiny golden horn and hooves. He walked with grace and aloofness that made it seem all were beneath him and he observed Aikyn with some interest, though not very much kindness.
Daryl nodded, "W'all can. S'parta bein magical." he told June, resting his head on the stall and watching Aikyn with interest. "Your kid?"

Aikyn starred, eyes wide, at the unicorn that was led back to him by Apoxi, "W-Wow..." He murmured, seeming to be quite in awe of this particular creature. He was beautiful, wasn't he? His color was pure white until Aikyn who was more reddish, something he must get from his other parent. They had the same horn, same hooves, and one of his eyes was like that of the unicorn as well. He took a slow step forward to get a little closer to the amazing creature, "H-Hello, I'm Aikyn." He greeted the unicorn shyly.
June gave the Pegasus a long look before chuckling, "I see, that's quite amazing." He said, never having guessed that the horses would talk... which had him wondering if the nightmare talked as well and if so what she might talk about... He shook off his curiosity and looked over to where Aikyn was, "Yeah, that's my son Aikyn. Hes normally a bit shy so I have to say I am impressed with how well he is doing on his own." He sounded so proud as he said this.

Bertram looked at him stiffly for a moment before nodding his head. "Good to meet you, Aikyn. I see you are in good health?" his tone was a little brisk, but his voice strong, elegant and powerful. He was surely an amazing creature to say the least. Not cold, merely rigid.
"S'nice. He s'ms like a good kid. Well fed, taken care of. Lil shy, but that's okay. Never hurt no one too bad." Daryl seemed, of the three horses, to not only be the most amiable, but the most accepting of faults and mannerisms. "Good kids are nice."

Aikyn gave a quick nod of his head in agreement, "Yes! I am doing quite well, thank you." He said, so in awe of how powerful Bertram seemed. It was just... plain amazing to the younger boy. He wondered if he would be able to grow up to hold himself in that manner, with such confidence. He sure hoped so, "And how about you? How are you doing?" He asked, hoping that the unicorn was fairing well.
June glanced at Daryl then chuckled, nodding in agreement with what the other was saying. That was true enough, all of those things he was saying about Aikyn. It was funny about him being 'well fed' as he called it in June's mind though, must be a horse thing maybe?
"Yes, he is a good kid." He agreed with a smile.

"I am sufficiently cared for, I suppose." the white stallion replied with a sniff. "As well as I can be away from my homelands, but what must be done must be."
Daryl nodded, the sleepy looking horse having some more of his oats. "S'a good thing. I have good kids too. They just don't visit much."

Aikyn gave a nod, glad to hear that he was sufficiently cared for though he didn't seem to happy did he? He wondered what brought the unicorn here and away from his homelands. What must be done he'd said... tilting his head to one side the taur boy asked, "Why... must it be done?" Surely he must be lonely away from home? Aikyn knew that he weren't at home that he would be pretty lonely as well. He hadn't been living with June forever but after moving in with the kind, giant of a man he couldn't really imagine being anywhere else. It must be something important if it took him away from home.
"Are you planning on going back to your homelands one day?" He wondered if he would have a welcome home party, that would be nice he thought to himself before giving a smile at the thought, wondering what unicorn parties might be like.
June gave a nod, "Yeah, kids don't seem to visit as much when they get older." He agreed, "My oldest is busy with work and family so he doesn't get to visit as often as I would like." Not that he was completely alone now that he had taken in Aikyn though he thought to himself.

Bertram seemed distasteful at answering Aikyn's question. "It is not a matter to discuss in polite company. You may inquire with that Doctor Blighto at some point if you wish the details." he said with a sniff before turning to walk through the meadow, "Tell me child, what activities do you do when you are not being schooled?"
Daryl chuckled, "Mine are little but they prefer their other parents I s'pose." he drawled slowly, resting his head on the door, "But the big ones do get busy."

"What activities? I like to grow flowers, I have a lot of them in pots in the house and I will get even more to tend to once its warm enough to start working on the garden I was told I could have in the yard." He said, tail swishing in delight as he spoke of flowers. He wasn't sure who he got that love from, maybe both sides since horses ate a lot of plants and from what he gathered from how he looked that his other parent must be part plant herself. He couldn't wait to meet with her too.
June looked over to where his son was, seeming to be excited over whatever it was he was talking to the unicorn about before he gave a nod, "Yeah, its tough when they get to that age but I am sure they love us parents even if they are busy with other things." He was sure of it in fact.
