"See you at six then? Okay. I'll pick you up." Vincent hung up the phone with a smile. This would be their first successful date since they had started going out. Well, it would be successful, if everything went as planned. He glanced at the clock; good, twenty minutes to go. His clock said ten, he had made it ten minutes fast so he would rush to get ready. Was a fireworks display romantic enough? He nervously pulled at his dress shirt, and then took the rose he'd set aside for Lissy out of the vase.
He took another glance at the clock, before nodding to himself. Time to get going. It would take him ten minutes to get to Lissy's place. Once there, he got out of the car and straightened his shirt. He knocked on the door, and waited nervously.

Elisabetta looked at herself in the mirror with a speculative glance. The dress she wore clung to the right parts of her, but the loose folds around her waist made her tentacles crazy. They pushed the material back, the longest going as far as to wrap itself around her so it couldn't be hidden.
She didn't pay them any attention, and instead work on pulling her hair back. This was going to be the first date she'd had with Vinny in a long time, since growing even, and she wanted to look perfect. Lissy tugged a brush through her thick hair to fluff it out when Moose knocked on the door to the girl's shared suite.
"A car just pulled up," she whistled. "Your gonna give the poor boy a heart attack."
Lissy spun around and smiled. "You really think so?"
"Mm'hmm. Now hurry up."
The teenager nodded and slipped into a pair of sling-backs before running out of her room, only to come back and toss a pair of cheap sandals into her bag. She ran down the two flights of stairs in her new home and flung the door open.

Vincent stared, blinked once, and stared some more. Okay, so maybe he hadn't accounted for the fact that his girlfriend had grown since the last time he'd seen her. Maybe he had forgotten how attractive Lissy really was. "Wow..." he breathed. For a moment, it seemed like he wasn't going to say anything else. He swallowed nervously. "You look--beautiful."
He looked at himself self-conciously before offering her the rose. Why hadn't he brought her a bouquet of them instead? She deserved every rose in the world. "For you," he said. "You should put it in some water before it wilts, er..." He hesitated for a moment. "Do you want to get dinner before the fireworks, or want to get something there?"

Lissy couldn't help the way she naturally leaned to one side, hip cocked to the left with her hand atop her longest tentacle. She giggle, a little flush on her cheeks. "You said the same thing last time I grew. It's nice to know I'm not growing uglier."
Truthfully, he didn't look so bad either. She openly looked at him from head to toe before smiling a little more risque as she took the rose. "Give me a sec," she disappeared and reappeared with a tall glass filled with water and two aspirins. She sat it on the table next to the door, by the window. "There. Now it can wait up for me."
Then she looped her arm in his and stepped out, closing the door behind her. It was weird, being taller and standing next to him. "Let's just get something there. I'm not really hungry, are you?"

And the statement got truer everytime he saw her, but Vinny would never admit that to her. She was simply--incapable of looking anything but beautiful. "Oh, eating there sounds fine," he said, when he'd recovered from the arm looping. "We can hang out near the lake until the fireworks," he suggested. "There's supposed to be a market there; I'll buy you something." How unusual. The greed spawn was rarely willing to part with gold.
He led her to the car with a smile, before opening the door for her. "Maybe a glow bracelet, or two," he considered, glancing at her tentacles. Would they want one too?

"There's a lake?" She asked with surprise, slipping into the car. Elisabetta set her bag infront of her legs and turned back up to look at him with a little quirked brow. "Are you sure? I thought you didn't like to spend money?"
Although, she was noticably excited about it. It wasn't often that her boyfriend bought things for her, a part of his DNA no doubt, and she was increidibly happy that he would offer to do it for her. And glow bracelets! Ooooh, what if they had blue and pink, maybe even a green....?

"Sure is. The lake makes the fireworks echo for miles. I'm sure," Vinny assured her with a smile. She was the one person he was willing to spend money on; along with his younger siblings, that was. "And," he added, "I don't need gold. I have you, and you're a treasure much rarer." He shut the door, before going to his side of the car and hopping in. He leaned over and moved to kiss her on the cheek.
"Ready to go?" he asked.

Elisabetta's heart fluttered. Was she...? Was she really that important to him? As soon as he got into the car, she spun around with her hands on the consol, and at the last moment turned her head where he was forced to kiss her lips instead of her cheek.
She leaned back, licking her bottom lip with her newly pierced tongue. "Lead the way, General."

Vincent's initial response was to blush. He hadn't expected Lissy to do that; repetitive phrases went off in his head. 'She kissed me?' He started the engine, nodding at her. "Let's go," he said at last.
He pulled out of the driveway and drove towards the lake. "Do you want to listen to music?" he asked. "You can play the radio, if you like." He was trying, really.

Lissy crossed her legs at the ankle, leaning over to start playing with the radio. "Let's see, here." Her longer tentacle, however, wasn't please. It tugged and yanked on the seat belt, stretching it out this way and that until she ducked to the right so it could slip it behind her. Then it tried to unbuckled it and she smacked it.
She played with it for a while until she found fairy tale and stuck with it.
Even after that, the diligence child was tapping her foot to the beats, bobbing her head as she hummed along. She wanted to snuggle up to Vinny, at least hold his hand, but she didn't want to distract him. So, she sat like a good little girl until they got there.

Once in a while, Vinny would risk a glance towards Lissy and smile. She was so beautiful; there was no other word for it. Once he finally pulled into the parking lot of the park, he gave a smile of sincere relief. "Ready?" he asked. "Do you want to set up camp first, or go to the market and buy something to eat? The fireworks won't be on for hours."
Maybe they could find something to entertain them. "Want to go by the lake shore and play?" he suggested. "I mean, in the water," he flushed. Awkward, teenagers weren't supposed to play. "I brought a frisbee and stuff, if you like."

"Let's go grab some food first, that way we won't have to leave later." She slipped out of the car with her back slung on her shoulder. Her longer tentacle gave one last slap to the seatbelt before toddling along behind her irritably.
Elisabetta had already started walking when he spoke up again. She half turned, hand on her hip with a questioning gaze. Then she smiled. "That's a wonderful idea! We can do that once we get the food. I love frisbee." How did he know?!

"We'll come back to the car when we're done," Vinny decided, reaching her side. He brushed his hand against hers, purposefully. "What would you like?" he asked, looking around at the vendors. So much to buy, so little time! He couldn't be sure what he wanted to get Lissy. Maybe there was something she wanted especially?
"Really?" Vincent was pleased, frisbee was something he was good at. He nodded in agreement. "We'll do that then," he said.

Before he could pull his hand away, she tentatively touched it with hers, then entertwined her fingers with his. A rare thing, a little blush, covering her cheeks when she smiled up at him. Elisabetta turned her attention to the vendors, parusing their wares until she came up to an organic fruit stand. "Ooooh~" With her free hand, she reached out for a grapefruit, tested it, then swapped it out. "How about this? And maybe a watermelon?"
She wasn't 100% sure how far the generous side of Vincent went, and she didn't want to push it. "Unless you wanted something cooked," she laughed.
