Kumos journey was still very fresh. This was the first time he had been away from his mother or father. Ylva, the boys mother, had kept a very close eye on her puppies. She had been a very good mother in her own way and Kumo was grateful for that. Asa had been a good father but distant. Kumo had a feeling it was because of his pelt color. His near twin Biku had gotten the same distant treatment.
That was why he had left. He wanted to prove him self to his father some how. Only a sachet of wild herbs picked from around the family territory was there to remind him of his home. He had picked them him self choosing the finest smelling herbs he could find.
Kumo wasn't sure what he was proving to him self or his father let alone where he was going. The map was empty but the desire was there. He'd find what he was looking for maybe one day.
The hyena sat on a boulder scoping out his next route.

 Today was a rather still day. Though Kizuka wasn't complaining. He liked days like this. In fact, it was so nice that he was out for an extremely long walk. He walked so far that he didn't recognize where he was anymore. He continued to trot along, not particularly hungry today.
He stopped though, catching an unfamiliar scent. The hyena couldn't make out what it was exactly, but it smelled like...plants. Though when did plants ever smell this strong? Crimson eyes scanned the area, wondering where the source was.

Kumo was still routing out his next route on the boulder. His guard was down other wise he may have noticed a near by foreign scent. Instead he was engrossed in his planning.
"Now lets see..." He mumbled as he planned. The male wanted the route with the least inhabitants. Running into others could be awkward because Kumo was a little socially retarded thanks to his mother Ylva.

Like a hunting dog on the trail of a scent, Kizu followed the scent, realizing there was a boulder looming over him. He tilted his head, recognizing the scent of a young pup. "Well, well." he said, a friendly smile on his face. He backed up to get a better glimpse of said pup, why would a small pup be out? Probably the little fella wanted to explore? He couldn't blame him then. Unless if it ran away from home. Then he would have to send it back to its den.

Kumos ear twitched at the sound of a voice. His eyes darted toward the source, a light colored male. Mmm?
"Well well," He mirrored the older male. "Is there something I can help with or do you just have a habit of sneaking up on travelers." His voice was calm and collected.

((To Kizu though, anything remotely younger than him is a 'pup' xD ))
"Nothing, nothing." Kizu replied loftily. So this pup had a bit of a sassy side, eh? It was nothing big though. "I just caught the scent of some plants. Don't know why though..." the kid probably had some on him.

The male tilted his head, "I have a satchel around my neck with herbs." He looked down at it. "You must have a strong nose. Either that or these smell different then this area."
He was sure it was the latter.

Herbs? What was a young hyena doing with herbs? "Why do you have those?" he asked, feeling rather stupid. Maybe he was a vegetarian hyena? No, no. That wasn't possible. There were no such things.
"Yeah. They don't smell like anything that would be around here." he replied. Having no regards for personal space, the hyena jumped up onto the boulder next to him and sat down. "So. What's your name? I've never seen you around here before."

Kumo felt a little self conscious now about carrying a satchet of herbs around his neck. Was it really all that strange to carry herbs around? Every hyena he ran into seemed to question it. Kumo was starting to feel a little self conscious.
"Im.. not from around here," The hyena took a seat. "Im Kumo." He really gave a look over of the lighter hyena. His father had disapproved of his lighter coat. Kumo couldnt help wonder if this male got the same treatment from his father. What was wrong with a lighter coat?

Seeing that the younger hyena was staying silent about the herbs, Kizu decided not to push it any further. "It's nice to meet you Kumo." the hyena couldn't help but smile a little at Kumo, as he really liked pups and things. "I'm Kizuka-bui. But everyone calls me Kizu." 'everyone'? Since when did he know 'everyone'? He barely had any friends. He mentally sighed, feeling stupid saying that, but quickly tossed the thoughts away as he saw that Kumo was staring at him.
He tilted his head, looking at Kumo wondering what the teen was thinking as he was staring at him.
"Something wrong...?" he asked.
