User ImageThe sun was low in the sky, sending long shadows from the base of trees and hills of rolling grass. Clouds floated across the sky, reflecting soft pastel colors that painted the evening bright. There was a gentle breeze, the grass of the hills flowing to and fro, pushed and pulled by the coming nighttime winds. Amidst the darkening calm colors, a pale sat bright before one of the growing shadows of a solitary tree. A lioness traced the horizon where the sun began to dip and disappear with a pale blue gaze, noting each slight valley and hill. Eyes ran over trees, mountains, and the bright clouds, and...
And paused as they fell upon an expanding sheet of dark over a faraway mountain. Shadows crept over the land, slowly moving to blot out the sun and the now peeking stars.
A storm was coming.
Monifa's head quirked ever so slightly to the side, her frail, elegant form curled in the disappearing light. The edges of the stormcloud held a faint glow from the fading sun, and cast approaching expanses of darkness that crept close ever so slowly.
The lioness flicked an ear. Her nose twitched. Her tail gave a slight jerk.
It had been long since she'd seen a storm, felt the pouring of rain upon her white and gray pelt. She, for one, wasn't too enthusiastic. The aging lioness stood, stretching while her eyes continued to survey the land, and turned away from the beautiful setting sun, now hidden behind the dark clouds.
No, no storms tonight...
And the lioness began on her way in the opposite direction.

Angra Mainyu was up to his ears in prattling cub babble and had escaped for now. He sighed lightly and gazed up at the sky with a trembling rage he'd kept undertow for quite some time. He shook his mane and gasped for air, felt as if he were choking on it he felt his back tense and un-tense unpleasantly causing the large lion to let go a rather disturbing roar. He felt a bit more relaxed now and let himself drop to the ground in a disgruntled manner.

"By the sights of many Gods, I vow to leave future children with their Mother. Where the little disposals belong." He murmured and let his eye's drift shut, his roar and all had caused quite a scene he hadn't assumed, and even if he did assume, he wouldn't care. What would come towards him with that kind of sickly roar, he could be contagious, a dangerous disease bearer and he didn't mind others thinking such things of him.

The lioness was lost in thought as the sound of the roar, close and startling, shook her to her senses. To what her mind had drifted, she couldn't really say. So much time alone brought much time for idle thoughts, and at this point they all seemed to drift out of her mind just as easily as they had drifted in. At the sudden sound of a roar, one that she noted to be rather... dull, her ears pricked and all thoughts ran immediately out of her mind. Her muscles tensed and her ears pinned, though this defensive pose quickly faded away.
The lioness's pale eyes flicked back and forth across the ground before she spotted the larger lion in the distance. The grasses were dark; had it not been for the bright markings of the lion upon his dark pelt, she doubted she could have seen him at all.
Monifa's head tilted slightly as she made her way towards the other. Her defense was down. He seemed.... nice enough. Thought these days she believed everyone to be 'nice enough.' There was a gentle, meek smile as, a few long paces away, she murmured a soft "Good evening." She looked over him momentarily, studying his markings and his posture, before she spoke again. Her voice was chillingly soft and smooth, like the gentle swaying of the grass in the evening breeze. "I hope I am not.... interrupting?"

He had assumed wrong, the roar enticed one lioness to venture closer and closer and then. His head lifted sharply, ears pricked forward, mane in a disgruntled appearance and eye's a bit crazy. He fixed himself as quickly as possible and stared at the female sourly. "Well.. you were, but that moments over now. What do you want?" He grumbles at her, he was not in the best of moods and shouldn't be messed with when he was in a better mood. So this was the worst moment to interact with him.

"Well.. why are you wandering towards a crazed mad-lion like myself... Don't you know any better??" He let his head drop again and he began to rest his eye's, ears still aimed for a response, assuming he got one.

Monifa's eyes ran over the lion briefly, examining his features and the crazed look in the eye. His ears pinned, a nervous expression running across her face. Perhaps he was in a sour mood. Or maybe sick? Her head tilted to the side as she listened to his words and her tail flicked back and forth before she paused. The lioness wasn't used to meeting others that were so... abrasive. To be honest, she wasn't quite sure how to react; as he spoke, despite how dark his voice seemed, and how seemingly aggressive his posture appeared, her body remained relaxed and soft. After all, he couldn't have been as rough as he seemed, could he? He was probably a nice guy. ...Right?

"You don't..." She blinked, perplexed as to what to say. "You don't seem as crazed as you claim." There was a pause as her ears flicked. "I... You just..." Another paused. "Sounded as if you needed some company."
