This mainly the story of special creatures called "Uingu." (pronounced "Wing") There are two types of uingu: Sumizome Uingu; uingu with black wings, and Shainingu Uingu; uingu with shining white wings.

The setting is mainly in Shigai Joukuu, in either the Kingdom of Sumizome, or the Kingdom of Shainingu, a peaceful colony hidden within the clouds above. But recently, Khaos (a giant, swirly, black cloud in the sky) has surfaced, and is changing anything that comes in contact with it into a Ranmyaku, a being that has no willpower whatsoever and destroys everything around it.
