Naru_Uchiha007 Though some would seem nervous at knowing the temple was hosting such an even, Hal didn't seem at all bothered by the thought, a rather smug look crossing his face as he entered... the lantern which had become his trademark begin dropped before him, tail curling almost protectively around it. "This sounds like it'd be good for a laugh." The Lantern Fae remarked, that smug look never seeming to faulter as he gave a look around. Sleet Tempest Snape While dancing with Trinity he spotted something flowing...a bright green glow. How interesting, letting his sister go he went to investigate the fae with the glowy lantern, how pretty...Seeming to move, as if possessed, Riven made his way toward the fae and smiled brightly then.
"Hi..." Seeming to come out of his stupor he tilted his head. "You have something glowing...it's very nice." He had a thing for glowing items, glow sticks and such. Naru_Uchiha007 Hal perks a brow, not as if anyone would notice given the mask he wears, his smug expression once more returning. " What? you mean this old thing? It's my power battery and signifies my position as an elite member of The Green Lantern Corps!" Sleet Tempest Snape Perking a brow Riven tilted his head to the side. "....O..k." He didn't really know what this elite group was but ok, he was sure it was elite. "It glows...I like bright glowing things." He even had a few glowsticks about his form, and tended to always be able to hand them out, from where he got them no one would ever know....his little secret. Naru_Uchiha007 "Don't think on it to hard... If they wanted you to know about, I'm sure a ring would have found you by now." Hal states in quite possibly the most smug of manners. Naru_Uchiha007 Hal gives a shrug as all interest seems to have been directed away from him, his own attentions soon turning to the scroll before him. "Some kind of art contest?" Hal remarks to him in question, a rather thoughtful rub being given to his chin. "Well, I'm no Kyle Rayner... but it looks fun, to say the least." Naru_Uchiha007  It doesn't take Hal long to scribble down his thoughts onto paper... and, just as stated, he was no Kyle Rayner given the crude art style he used for his vision. "I don't care what anyone else says.... to me, this is a work of art!" Rein_Carnation A word had been going around there was a festival going on. Polaris had little to do these days so she figured what the heck on checking things out.
She stopped by the scrolls reading each of them. They seemed of interest but really she didn't know what she'd participate in. Possibly finding a coin but she figured leaving that to others was better. There were many faes mingling in all areas in all different species as well as the children. It seemed quite a happy place so it made her content. Naru_Uchiha007 "Now, all I have left to do is get someone to caption this thing for me." Hal said in a thoughtful manner, scanning the place over once before taking notice of the new arrival... Polaris. On first glance, she seemed like the type to be able to come up with what he needed... the smug little fae making his way over to her, that glowing lantern hanging off his tail as he moved. "Name's Hal Jordan, but that's not important right now..... think you could do me a solid and come up with something for this?" Hal exclaimed on approach, flashing his scribble at Polaris. Definitely not one for manners... that, or he just has a really unique manner of introducing himself. Rein_Carnation The first thing she thought was "Wow he's straight to the point isn't he?" Oh well he was quite unique and was asking her of all faes to caption this... masterpiece? Alright, he was asking after all.
"Polaris... I suppose I can help you out Hal Jordan. Let me think on it and post something for you. You aren't that impaitient I hope?" Smiling to herself she took the sketch and started thinking upon a title or saying to best fit what he was trying to say. It had a nice appeal to it so hopefully she could derive something off the top of her head. Naru_Uchiha007 "Hal will be just fine.. and thanks for the assist, Polaris." The smug smirk crosses the Fae's visage once more, the lantern he holds being set down beside him. Well, she seemed like a nice gal... Rein_Carnation Polaris thought long and hard and began writing ideas that spoke to her clearly and yet with inspiration. It was hard to say if Hal would approve of the subject matter but she hoped he would. It wasn't her usual forte to simply pull something like this from the top of her head. But she enjoyed working with some simple verses that were quite inspirational and soothing all in the same. The color she choose was much like the glow of the moon so it shined rather brightly against such a serene backdrop. Nodding she turned and walked back over to Hal for his interpretation and hopefully pleasing thank you for such a spur of a moment creation.
"What do you think of this Hal? Is it suitable enough for your tastes?" she then handed the art back over to him and waited for his decision being yay or nay of course. Naru_Uchiha007 Hal takes himself a seat beside his lantern, keaning against it as he allowed his fellow Fae to come up with something for his picture. "Let's see what you got here..." Hal looks at his scribble with Polaris' caption now added to it, a rather thoughtful look crossing his face as a rub is given to his chin. "Hmmm... I have to say yes!!" Rein_Carnation Polaris waited for the inevitable but his surprise clearly blew her out of the water. She blinked, "You sure? Oh Good. Being put on the spot like that gets tricky to come up with a brilliant idea. I'm not complaining... rather just saying. I suppose I should say thanks for letting me help you." She pondered for a moment turning back to him. "I'm really in no hurry tonight why don't you join me in checking out the festival. I could go for a nice cool refreshment right now? What do you say Hal?"

Naru_Uchiha007 "Sure, why not. I have time to kill." Hal remarked to her quiry, being far from smuggish with the response. "Besides, I could go for something right about now." Rein_Carnation Polaris smiled that her invitation had been accepted, "Wonderful. I was feeling the same way. So Hal what is it you do for a profession? What do you like in life?" she asked curious about more things he liked. Perhaps she could catch more time to spend with him. Hmm just maybe this event was worth attending to lift her spirits. She was thankful of the deity that had welcomed them all most of all of course. Naru_Uchiha007 Hal's tail gives a light flick before coiling around his lantern and picking it up. "When I'm not putting my life on the line fighting intergalatic terrorism I'm putting it on the line working as a test pilot... but you didn't hear that form me." He winks, smirking. "And what about you?" Rein_Carnation Polaris smiled once again taking the initiative to get him a drink of a shimmering punch. Which essentially made her think of the universe and all the little stars as they floated in the mixture. Raising it to her lips she nodded, "This is really good. A nice interesting mixture of citrus and berries.
"Well let's see.... I'm usually in the bodyguard profession but lately I've been helping out with Lake Haven's nursery. They may seem cute and innocent but never, EVER, turn your back on children. Intergalactic terrorism doesn't even compare." she laughed watching him. "No worries your secret is safe with me".
"Any questions for me by chance?" Naru_Uchiha007 Hal takes a cup of punch for himself, after having been offered it of course, taking a sip of it. "Never really dealt with kids before... but it sounds to me like they're both on the same level." He chuckles at this, even more so at the closing remark. "Well, for starters, what brings you here?" Hal inquires, taking another sip of his punch. Rein_Carnation Polaris chuckled to herself. Once you got past his cockiness he was quite interesting to be around. Taking another sip of punch she pondered just how to answer him. Saying oh I just felt I'd check it out sounded not in any sense interesting. Truth sometimes is a little bland but sprucing it up is a much better.
"Well festivals are something to attend after all. Besides its not everyday or night for that matter a deity invites you into their realm to celebrate. I honestly think everyone should take that to heart. If it were not for the deities we as our races wouldn't be here. So honoring Limdur and his domain of the Moon was something I pondered on and agreed to. Its a lovely gathering might I add." she nodded and picked up a Moon shaped cookie from the table, "And your reason for coming?" Naru_Uchiha007 Hal was definitely the cocky-type, as if it hadn't already been apparent since his arrival to the festival that evening, that cocky smirk lining his face being more than enough evidence when he wasn't talking. And, despite his slight self-centered nature, Hal was actually enjoying the company of Polaris. "This is very true. Don't believe I've ever had the honor of attending a festival hosted by a deity." Hal chuckles at this, taking another sip of his punch. "I suppose you do have a point there." "I figured it looked like it would be a blast, so I decided to hop on by and see what was going on." Rein_Carnation "Well it may be a little quiet but I'm enjoying myself. I'm glad you are too" she replied munching another cookie. "I suppose I don't get out much and you well I'm sure you get to see the world a lot. But really do you socialize much?"
She took another sip then smiled for a moment, "So tell me. A guy like you has to have interesting eyes. Hmm I'm going to say a bright blue or a fascinating green. Am I close by chance?"
Now she would find out if he was great at honestly or a potentially fantastic liar. Naru_Uchiha007 "Do I socialize much? Well, from time to time, yes I do." Hal remarks, perking a brow in a curious manner at such a question. Hal chuckles at this assumption to make, "Actually, I do have blue eyes... good guess on your part." Just to prove her right, he pulls the mask up so she can catch a glimpse of his eyes before finally pulling it back down. Rein_Carnation Polaris felt quite proud indeed that she could glimpse such a lovely pair of eyes. Usually its the case where they are quite mesmerizing or quite the opposite when someone hides their eyes from the world. She mused to herself how well two beautiful sets of eyes would make an interesting future but she wasn't speaking her mind out loud. If that was coming in the future it would announce itself on its own terms.
"Let's see I socialize I suppose when the time is right. Like this gathering for instance. You never know who will approach you asking to caption a lovely picture for instance." Yes she added that in just for a laugh, which she was sure he would laugh too. Naru_Uchiha007 "Yeah... You never know. Someone like me might come on by." Hal smirks, winking at Polaris... as if she could tell with the mask covering his face. "And I have to say, I'm quite enjoying out little conversation." Rein_Carnation "Oh? well if I do say so myself I'm enjoying this conversation too. You seem quite interesting is there a Ms. Jordan by chance? Surely a handsome guy like you was swept away long ago right?" Forward yes but Polaris wasn't meek in seeking out information. Her daddy had a lot of influence over others when she was younger. Shame he vanished off the face of the world when she grew. Polaris honestly would have liked to spend more time with him. Naru_Uchiha007 Hal can only chuckle at this inquiry of her's, that coy smirk returning to him. "Actually, there isn't one as of yet... but I'm always been the hopeful type." Rein_Carnation There it was, that coy personality that lightly skimmed him when was being cocky. But that's what made him who he was she was sure.
"Hopeful? Well Mr. Jordan what sort of girl catches your attention might I ask? Simple conversation I assure you nothing more." But she was kidding herself looking beyond that mask into dazzling blue orbs that matched hers she glimpsed for only a moment. Naru_Uchiha007 "Well now, that all depends on who's asking." Hal chuckles, sensing that Polaris was more interested in him then she was trying to let on. Rein_Carnation Polaris smiled back at him, "Well now are you trying to say I was implying something?" she commented as her blue eyes melted in his presence. Taking the drink to her lips she laughed, "And if I was? Oh do indulge me Hal before I say something more." Naru_Uchiha007 "Well, you do seem to be hinting at something... unless I'm reading you wrong... which I doubt is the case." Hal chuckles, taking a sip of his punch before chuckle. "How's about I indulge you with telling you that I think you're very attractive." Rein_Carnation Polaris got more then she bargained and had to stop playing around, "Well that wasn't exactly as I asked but thank you just the same." she replied licking her lips as a bit of stray punch lingered there, "I think I'll respond saying you are quite handsome. How do you feel about that?" Naru_Uchiha007 The thought that Polaris had been playing around this whole time really hadn't crossed Hal's mind in the least bit, that coy smirk of his seeming eternally plastered to his face. "You can't begin to imagine how many times I've heard that.. but coming from you, I feel honored."
Yeah, he was being a total flirt... or at least trying his best, anyways. Rein_Carnation Polaris laughed as her eyes never left his, or what watched her from beneath the mask. Oh how secretive Hal Jordan was... a real secret agent type. Even better she agreed to herself. "Times? Oh you're one of those guys the ladies just can't resist? Okay I'm hooked". she laughed at herself taking another sip from her cup, "Fine I'll admit it I'm interested. It was more fun with the guessing game but I'm sure this is the answer you've been waiting for."
She picked up another cookie nibbling as she spoke, "So Hal are you interested in what you see? I'm sure in our busy schedules we can work out some dates if you'd want to spend more time perhaps? A night only lasts so long"

Hal's eyes remain focused with Polaris' own, the coy expression still holding strong. "While I am fond of games, especially ones of this caliber, I have to admit that I am glad we're cutting to the chase."
"Well, since you've managed to hold my attention for so long, I'm sure that it's safe to say that the answer to that question is a yes." Hal chuckles, "And, as for my busy schedule, I'm sure that I can make more than enough time to go out with you... so long as you're game."

Polaris leaned toward him ever so slightly breathing in his manly scent letting her head flutter a little then she awoke from her little spell and responded pursing her lips, "Games keep others on their toes but I know I don't need to speak more on those words for you are quite an intelligent individual.
"Children do sleep at some time or other and I'm off relatively on evenings if you are. Now what need to figure out is what things provide interest for you and not boredom. Dare to inspire me a little? It might set me in the right direction for a date sometime." She smiled then with a subtle laugh.

Hal leans in close just as Polaris does, "You do know that flattery will get you everywhere, don't you?"
Still the cocky one, just like when they first meet, Hal leaned in a little closer. "You know, it could be a little more adventurous if you surprised me... I do love surprises." He winks

"Oh now that does perk my interest. Let's see hmm where should we go...." she paused letting her eyes flutter with a hint of playfulness.
"Speaking which are you free now Mr. Jordan? I think I know a place that would interest you" she smiled leaning in closer that her hair falling in green waves ever so slowly nearly brushed against him.

Polaris tapped a paw to her chin and smiled, "I think I know of a place you just might like. I know I really like going there especially in the evening such as this. "Let me know when you're ready and we'll head out." She wondered though if she should of gotten herself freshened up for being at a party you tend to get overheated. She'd wait and see what he replied with.

What would it matter if she perspired a little bit anyway? He wasn't interested in how paranoid she could be now was he? No he was interested in her so there was no worries. Wiping it from her mind she nodded to him brushing a stray bit of hair off her shoulder so her tresses fell in green waves.
"Alright then Mr. Jordan let us begin this adventure." she chuckled feeling like she was giving a company tour. She hoped a secluded spot would be ideal for getting to know one another better. Moonlight, simple walk, and yeah it was highly romantic. Well she'd see how he responded when they got there.

Hal had taken brief notice of this, but didn't really make any note of it... merely brushing it off as Polaris probably being nervous since she probably didn't expect to bump into someone like him at the festival tonight.
"Adventure huh? Well now, this should be interesting." He chuckles, taking his lantern up in tail before waiting for her to lead on.

She was a little nervous yes but well who wouldn't be walking alongside one hell of a handsome fae such as himself. She wasn't meek as some thought her to be for she was strong willed and extremely straight edged should she want.
Glancing down she saw the lantern glowing, "Does that always glow at night? Its a curious thing why you carry it around. Care to tell me something light about it?" she asked hoping he wouldn't start some complicated mass of explanation hoping to loose her in it.

Polaris shook her head feeling a tad embarrassed," No no its just... its fascinating that it glows like it does. Does the sun soak into it? It just looks really inventive." She cleared her throat then began again, "Its this way..." She opted not to hold out her paw because they didn't know each other that well, or rather she had a feeling he might offer later on once they got to that place she was taking him to.

Hal didn't take much notice to Polaris' embarrassment toward the matter, brow perking itself lightly as she continued. "No, it doesn't have anything to do with the sun.... but, yes, it is very inventive, to say the least." He smirks, tailing alongside Polaris as she lead the way.
