Not really though. We just want to get your guy's opinion on something we're a bit...stuck on.

So, we've got, I believe, three people, who don't need to be named but can probably be found pretty easily by checking their fights, who are effectively going to round two without having to fight at all, or fight so little, there is no possibility for judgement of any sort.

Because you may or may not view this as unfair, we, the judges, have decided to let you vote for the two options we will present here as to how this will be handled. If you're okay with these guys, who in no way intended to get the pass to round two, to move on, you will simply post "Option 1". If you are okay with have a slight (3 day at MOST) delay in the judging of round two so that the three contestants can get their fair fight to get to round two, then you will post "Option 2". What are these options in detail? Keep reading.

Option 1 is simple. To maintain the brackets and save you guys time, we could let the three combatants just mosey on to round two. It's no skin off of anyone's back, and it'll make sure this tournament runs clean as a whistle.

Option 2 is a bit more complex, but creates a situation in which all competitors who appear in round two have fought and earned their way into the round. To maintain the brackets, we must fill in the empty spots left behind. We would recruit three people to fight in the tournament and pit them in a shortened (10 post/ 2 day limit which would take barely an afternoon to judge) fight as the rest of you begin round two. I repeat, the MAJORITY OF YOU WILL BEGIN ROUND TWO as these fights start. Once we settle this quick fights, they and their round two opponents will begin round two fights. Anyone involved in one of these fights will have a three day extension to their fight, for fairness, and the judges will likely take the usual obscenely stupidly long time to get s**t done do their best to finish all the judging quickly!


So, to summarize again.

Post "Option 1" if you don't mind letting the good folks who didn't get a fight go through for the sake of speed and fluidity. Post "Option 2" if you don't mind some of you waiting for three days to start your fight to make sure that all of this is actually fair to you as a competitor.

We ask that you please refrain from posting anything in this thread other than one post containing your vote ("option 1" or "option 2") so that we can quickly settle this.

Only post in this thread if you are a competitor. No judges or spectators are to add their votes. THIS THREAD WILL CLOSE WHEN JUDGING IS FINISHED FOR ROUND 1.

Even if potentially easy meat, they need combatants. Also,I wanna see who might face them xD

I choose option 1, surprisingly enough.

I'm all for fairness, but in this situation, each scenario is fair. The characters in question showed up to their fight with an absolute willingness to make it a good one. The problem is that the characters they were paired up against were not as gracious or dedicated to the match at hand.

Because of this, like any tournament - both real and fake - the man/woman who showed up to their fight without being late or breaking any rules, is granted an automatic passing to the next round. This is also known as "Winning by Default".

It would make things much more smooth as well, in terms of tourny flow. We all start at the same time, we all end at the same time. That way there aren't a few extra days tacked on to the judgments either, which would make us all wait an extra unnecessary amount of time.
