"Remember, stay out of the deep end and no going on the diving board no matter what. You be good and I'll get you ice cream afterward, deal?" Damon asked, getting an excited nod from the little girl that had her face plastered to the chain-link fence. Kids with rainbow-colored swimsuits of varying styles wandered around the massive pool, even going down the slides and walking across floating foam lily pads. Ilyrosa wore a simple dark-purple one piece, since it was the best Damon could do that would allow for a tail and not be shredded in a blink of an eye.

"Yes daddy. Can I go now?" Ily asked, tail swishing back and forth excitedly. She wasn't really a fan of baths, since they took so long with all the dirt she could collect, but swimming... Apparently it was like a bath where you could splash and do all sorts of fun stuff! Already her eyes were glued on those bouncing green foam circles.

"Yes, you ca-" Damon sighed as the diligence spawn suddenly zoomed off into the pool area, slowing down suddenly as she got closer to the water and stepped in. Running fast on land apparently didn't transfer to the water...

A flash of feathery wings was all it took to grab Ily's attention. It wasn't everyday that one saw feathery wings, or four of them now that she got a better look of the kid. He had to be younger than herself, but not by much and-Was that-?

"Hey! I like your wings! Why aren't you in the water? Don' like it or som'thin'? You has sim-i-lar skin stuffies as me!" Ily babbled, question and speaking rapidly and yet clearly like one of those auction guys on TV. It didn't occur to her that he wouldn't be friendly or anything, really only wanting to meet the boy she suspected to come from the same facility as she did. And, with her only in knee-deep water, it wasn't like she was already swimming.

And running was still completely out of the question.

Upon seeing the boy take up a defensive position, Ily hesitantly stepped back a bit. Guess some people weren't as friendly as others. "Oh... There's a sand place if you wanna go there an' th' water isn' deep in some places so you don' have to swim," she replied, pointing to the small area where some kids were playing and sending large amounts of the strange rock through wheels and varying other things. Nearby there was a shallow pool of water with a couple of smaller slides.

"Wanna go there?" Well, at least her question didn't require him to speak. Hey, she could be dense sometimes but she did notice his unwillingness to speak and, well, be friendly. Oh well.

Seeing the boy wander towards the shallow water and sandbox, Ily half followed until he stopped suddenly and looked at her. Figuring he was waiting for her to follow, the diligence girl skipped happily over. "Sand or water?" she asked, giggling happily at having found someone else to play with even if he was quiet and not quite as hyperactive as some of the other people she had met.

Ily giggled at how Roman slowly moved into the water. She herself couldn't swim well either, but she was tall enough to not really have to. After all, when one of your parents was seven feet tall it contributed quite a bit. At least, that's what her dad had said.

"There's a slide too," Ily mentioned, already at the top of it and settling down. Sure it was a little more geared to kids Roman's age, but that didn't mean it couldn't provide her with entertainment. Sliding down, the child landed in the water again with a soft splash, the water coming no higher than her ribs.

((Hehe. If you can't swim, go to the shallow end. If you start drowning stand up. XD))

"Eee!" Ily squeaked at the splashing, giggling in amusement. "Hey! If you's gonna splash tell me first," she giggled, not minding the water much at all. There was very few things that actually bothered her in relation to elements and the like. Naturally, water had little effect except when really deep.

Racing around the slide, the spawn prepared another go down the slippery surface and into the crystal clear water below.

((*giggle* That sounds cute, in a violent way.))

Go down on her tummy? That actually sounded really fun... Taking Roman's advice, Ily turned and slid down the slide head first into the water. As it splashed up, she realized one very important flaw about this section of the pool; she was too tall to slide down on her stomach. Knees barely missing the end, she had to move quickly out of the way to avoid getting hit by Roman if he went down the slide early.

Well, even if she couldn't slide down on her tummy she could still slide. Just... not on her stomach. "You try! Real fun!" Ily called over to the other wrath spawn with a grin once out of the way.

Laughing at Roman's antics, Ily went down the slide again and raced around to the back once more. It was pretty fun, she had to admit, and the kid was having loads of fun too... That was good, right?
