When Roman looked up he expected either one of his sisters or an adult to tell him what he shouldn't be doing. Instead, they were all busy setting up camp. They set up things he'd never seen before, things that both confused and terrified him. They wanted him to sleep in that? That little thing? Nuh uh, wasn't happening.

He crouched down on the beaten black top road that connected all the campsites with a stick of chalk, absent mindedly doodling as his wings unfurled, keeping his balance. His sedatives were beginning to wear off, but Roman was still out of it enough to be content with the little past time.

So long as no one touched him.

Like the kids in the tent next door. They learned the hard way and now the 'family' was six spots down with a pending lawsuit. He growled in response to the memory, his orange eyes flashing as he crushed the chalk against the pavement.

Nina wasn't sure if she would ever get used to this sort of weather; hot as blazes, and it seemed even hotter to her. Then Ephron goes and suggests camping, something Nina had never really considered before, just as a change of pace. Truth be told, it was a lot more humid in this place than back in town, which managed to make the weather feel more muggy albeit more pleasant, but... did they really need to be stationed next to such annoying neighbors?

She had been quick to say that she was going to walk around for a bit, get a little "fresh air" away from the ruckus that the other campers were causing, while Ephron finished unpacking and setting up. "Be careful," was all he had said; no stopping her this time. Funny, since he had gotten so angry with her the last time she had wandered off on her own. Maybe he was giving her a little time to herself? Who really knew...

Nina didn't have to trek too far before she spotted Roman and Kieran on the black top. "Twins" wasn't the first word that popped into her mind when her eyes landed on them; in fact, her thoughts ran more like, At least these neighbors aren't partying. She was curious and tempted to head over, but held herself back. Younger spawn tended to be more tolerable to her as of late, but that didn't mean they felt the same way about spawn her age.

She wandered slowly around the area, however, running her eyes over the surroundings. She'd never seen so many trees in one place before, honestly, and it was quite intriguing. As she moved, she also wondered to herself if she'd be able to take a peek at what the twins were so engrossed in as well.

With a sharp hiss Kieran went sprawling to the side without his blanket. The spawn's eyes closed against the sunlight for a good minute before he finally managed to peek around. Curious about why he was shoved the twin moved around to look at the chalk drawing. Holding back a laugh at the stick figure battle, Kieran sat there watching with his head tilted. When Roman did spill the chalks he did reach out to grab a chalk piece that had rolled past him before he realized the situation.

Oh great.

Kieran looked at Roman before looking back over at Nina. With a small sigh -he was tired after all, why couldn't more things happen when he felt more awake?- the toddler gave into his curiosity. Standing Key nodded to his twin before approaching the girl.

Roman couldn't help a little growl when Kieran sprawled out on the ground. He hadn't shoved him that hard, his twin just wanted the attention. Wasn't there a word for that....?

He gave a look to Kieran before scooping up the rest of the chalk. Most children made him irritated to look at, so he generally didn't talk to many, but she seemed different. The winged spawn picked up the container with both hands and followed after his twin.

"We got them," he answered sharply, in his signature scratchy whisper. Since he hadn't talked much since his creation, Roman's vocaubulary was limited and his voice a shell of what it could be. He looked her feet to head, "Who're you?"

Nina was about to explain what she had meant when she had said "carried away," but she ended up stopping herself. Didn't seem like the toddler was too interested in an explanation, which was just fine with her. Or, maybe, whatever they were up to wasn't just for the sake of having fun.

Introductions, she grumbled to herself silently. She always forgot to start with giving acquaintances her name, despite being told it was good manners. Well, at least these two are on the ball. She refrained from holding out her hand to shake theirs in greeting, as she had always found it to be slightly awkward herself and didn't want to put someone else in her... metaphorical shoes. Instead, she opted to give a slight wave, "Oh, my name's Nina! It's nice to meet you two!" She couldn't help but mull over a second, brief thought to herself, They have such awesome names...

"So, you guys are twins?" she repeated, her brow furrowing a tiny bit, "You look almost nothing alike! That's cool." She smiled, trying to strike up a little conversation. Perhaps that wasn't the best of ideas -- there weren't many toddlers who preferred to talk with some random person who happened to wander by -- but it was all she had at the moment. It wasn't like she really knew what people did when they went out camping, other than to sleep under the stars.

Kieran flashed a grin to Roman. Great! Despite the heat, he was feeling energetic for once and was glad that his twin would give them a chance. "Diff blood, yup." Kieran flashed a grin at Nina, "Opposite parents. I'z lust and patient while he's wrath and chasty."

Nodding the toddler felt that he had explained it perfectly before looking back up at Nina, "Wanna play wit us, Nina?" He asked softly. Surely, she would right? If they were bored then to him it was fact that others would help them to pass the time.

Roman rolled his eyes at Kieran. Really, was it that great to play with someone else? And feeling a little awkward at being talked about, he shifted from foot to foot, flexing his wings.

He cracked his knuckles like the cool guys on tv, then shook them out. What kind of game...? What kind of..? "Not house." Roman stated bluntly. That was the lamest game ever. "Maybe...ke'ni't 'n pwincess 'n stuff." The toddler looked over at his twin with a little shrug.

Nina tried to stave herself off from wrinkling her nose at the mention of the game "house." True, she had never actually played it before, but she had heard about it and never could quite conceive of how a game about a "normal home life" could really be all that entertaining. Not that she had really ever known one to begin with and doubted that many other spawn had, either.

Seemed the two toddlers were interested in playing the next suggestion, though. She nodded to it, "Sure thing! Could be fun." Wait... did that mean that she'd have to play the princess? This could be awkward... she mused, trying not to dwell on the thought. Maybe she could deal with acting a little... "girly" for once.

Stretching a little to untense some slightly-fatigued muscles, she asked, "So, where do we start?" She winced slightly, apologetic for asking so many questions. Some people liked to delve straight into the meat of the plot, while others preferred starting from the very beginning; she wasn't exactly sure which these two tended toward. I wonder if I'm going to have to be tied up, she thought, absently chewing on the inside of her lip as she scoured the area.
