Lithium was still half recuperating from the fight with Fairyn. Lithi was pretty disappointed by the outcome that she had received. She was kind of upset that she had lost but she knew that she had to start training again. She really wanted to start as soon as she could but for now she had to relax and wait until her wounds healed Compeltly. She learned many times that fighting when she was hurt that it wasn't a good idea she could get twice as hurt and well she didn't want to have to sit around any longer then she already had to. But she was going to have to sit back and wait anyway no matter how much she didn't want to.
She grunted as she crawled closer to the water's edge. She was relaxing near the lake. Her eyes were darting back and forth watching the fish race around. She stretched her paws out so they were in the water before she leaned over and started to clean a wound on her shoulder. She had been cleaning it often. she didn't like the idea not only of infection but she also didn't like the idea of having her coat dirty. She hated when her light coat was dirty. But her cleanliness was keeping her wounds on healing track. They were healing pretty quickly.
She wiggled her toes around before she stood up shaking her coat out and started to move toward another part of the shore where she could move into the water a little more then she was, or at least where she could lay in it for a while. She lowered her nose to the water as she approached the side of it before extending her tongue and lapping up water enjoying the feeling as the cool water rushed down her throat and she closed her eyes and a pleasant sound escaped her chest then she settled herself on her belly feeling the water form around her as it reached around her shoulders enough where her back, tops of her shoulders and her neck was still above the water. She closed her eyes enjoying the feeling of the sun and the water at the same time.
Some times life was pretty good while she was hurt.
But despite all of this niceness around her she knew her mind kept wandering back to the idea that she had lost the battle. She couldn't believe it. She really messed up, she let herself slip out of the mode to win and then she struggled to get back into the same zone. She let herself down, she let herself down so hard and now she was pretty upset with the out come. She could hear in the back of her mind her mother constantly badgering her. But she kept telling herself her mother had nothing to do with this anymore.
She sighed slightly as she leaned her face down again lapping up just a little more water then she had before then she looked around. Something about today just seemed to calm. She was wondering where everyone was normally days like this a lot more wolves were wandering out of the forest behind her to wander up to the water and drink their fill. She wasn't complaining because she always felt uneasy around strangers but she knew this was too good to last for a while. She knew she should enjoy what she had for now.

One, two. Three, four. Indra counted his paw steps as he wandered out of the edge of the forest, his mind traveling from thought to thought not nearly as organized as the steps of his feet. What was we he going to see? Where was he trying to go? There was no real goal in particular, just the desire to feel his heartbeat speed up and his muscles stretching as he moved at a pace that would be very similar to a human's jog. No, Indra wasn't going to exert himself on a whim, but he had been stirred to motion. He couldn't sit still in the clearing with the other wolves for today at least, because his opinion of things were changing ever since he'd taken the time to watch the contest fights for the position of Alpha.
There were only two contenders left: Rebel and Icarus. He'd found the orange adolescent friendly enough, but he wasn't quite so sure what to think of the darker male. Indra, in a way, felt a little bit insulted at the idea of being told what to do by someone with a lot less life experience than himself. But he of course had no idea what sort of pasts Icarus and Rebel had, and although he respected the determination behind their eyes as they had each fought bravely, neither of them really seemed to know hat true loyalty was. Or at least, they had yet to express that sort of knowledge for him to see. What were their values, and how did they plan to guide the others? Indra frowned as he knew he didn't have the answers to the questions that appeared in his mind.
Could they really learn to appreciate the worth of every single drop of blood a wolf might shed under their command? And what would they do about the Darkness? Would they urge the newly formed pack to run, or to fight? Indra released a low grunt in something of annoyance. He wasn't sure what to think of this ragtag group. All he really wanted to do was to relax, and not stress himself over the things that he had yet to understand and trust.
As Indra approached the lake, his ears quivered as he saw something slipping into the shallow waters. His pace slowed down and he entered Stealth Mode, lowering his body to the ground and gradually creeping across the soft dirt that would bring him nearer to Lithium, but behind the cover of outcropping rocks. Truly he had no need for such behavior as he'd watched the snow colored femme's fight with Faiyrn, but he decided to keep quiet and to himself for now.

Lithium was pretty much unaware of the male heading in her direction. She thought she had heard something causing her to look back and around at what was behind her, however she didn't see anything so the first thing she did was turn back around and work back on enjoying her sun and water. To her it couldn't get any more perfect then this. Especially since no one was around or so she thought.
She lifted her head for a moment swishing her tail back and forth looking up in the direction of the sun trying to figure out what time it was. She was thinking about stopping over at the contests but she wasn't that sure. She was a little discouraged by the lot of it, not only did she lose in round one completely letting herself down but when she checked in earlier she had seen that it was down to two younger wolves. Really? She couldn't believe that not even Fairyn pulled through. She was pretty discouraged about being ruled by some one younger then her. Sure she was still a little young herself but it was one thing when you did have full adult features yet.
She growled slightly getting agitated by her thoughts of it. She took a deep breath in and thats when she noticed something that shouldn't be. In the air she could smell company. Company that she didn't know was around. She quickly sat up and turned around sitting back down just incase she was just smelling what was left from a past visitor. Her body protested against her sharp movements though, she winced for a moment before speaking. "Who's there?" She snapped, a growl escaping her maw and a gruff and serious look that she normally wore appearing back on her face. She wasn't really appreciating unannounced visitors. Company right now and general she sitll wasn't sure about.

Body language. It was the secret to most of the Haven pack's mysterious ways. This principle was what they often used to communicate rather than speak, and even now Indra was impressed by what power he had gained from his skills. He couldn't read Lithium as easily as his nose could identify scents, but even from this angle he was finding out things that she would never tell him upon their first meeting. The most obvious thing to him: she was a mostly organized wolf. Despite her pelt being such light colors, it as thoroughly clean and not even the pink stains of blood that ought to be there from her injuries showed through her fur. And the way she tucked her legs close to her body as she lay in the water, only her forelegs extended in front of her was a sign to him (and perhaps only a few others that also shared his knowledge of what information the body gave that the mind didn't know it released) was that she was probably pretty guarded.
Inwardly he felt his curiosity be piqued; she must have had some sort of interesting past to turn out that way, but of course he knew it was impolite to pry. His ears flickered as Lithium released a faint growl, and he took note of the tone being fairly similar to the one he had emitted only a moment before. Indra wondered what else could be on her mind, other than her defeat in combat against Faiyrn at the moment. Well, the Alpha Tournament was his best guess so far. As Lithium sighed in order to push away the busy thoughts, his tail swished behind him in something of agreement. He didn't like seeing the face of such a pretty girl looking troubled, although he knew little about her other than her name.
'Who's there?' Pale eyes widened only a fraction as he realized that his sneaky actions had been caught onto. He mentally shrugged before straightening himself up and stepping out from behind the rocks and into Lithium's full view, taking a few paw steps in her direction. "Forgive me for disturbing your rest, Lady." Acting humble in this sort of situation usually served him well, so Indra approached with an apologetic smile. "I'm always striving to improve my skills, and this seemed like an opportunity to practice. I meant no harm by watching you."

Lithium was really close to going and laying back down in the water. She was almost relieved almost sure that it was no one else. But as the other wolf started to move from behind the rock she felt a little annoyed. Why was he even there watching her? She didn't like the idea. She was a little annoyed at it all. She was really annoyed at the idea, she lifted her ears and watched the male carefully also listened to him carefully. She arched a brow at him waiting for him to say something else.
"Skills on being a creep?" She half grunted for a moment then shook her head. Growling a little bit once omore. She didn't like the idea that the male was watching her. It made her wonder about the male she was wondering if the male was seriously trying to do something else other then what he was saying that he did. She really didn't trust what this male was up to.She stood up making herself more open to what ever was going to come her way next. She then arched a brow once more and huffed.
"You know there are lots of other wolves around here to 'practice with.' " She watched him again shaking her head once more She wasn't exactly sure what else to say to this male. She felt a little odd with the company she really wasn't expecting it. She felt a little conflicted at the same time. Half of her wanted the company, well less then half. On the inside she still wanted to meet other wolves that she could talk to and learn about and spend time with. She knew there were some wolves some where out there that she knew that she could get along with and she could hang out. She kept telling herself to have hope however she was always not that sure of what to do around all of these other wolves.

Yup. Just as he'd expected, Indra could see Lithium's body show disapproval before she'd even said a word. He fought back a small smirk hen she ventured to call him a creep; as honest of a creature as he was, he felt it a bit too forward of him to admit that he was taking the time to look at her because he thought she looked good. He lowered his ears, deciding to ignore her statement about how he could easily find someone else to bother. Frankly, if he'd wanted to talk to someone else, he wouldn't even have bothered coming all the way up here to the lake in the first place where he figured he'd be alone. This was just an unexpected encounter; it wasn't as if he had been searching for an opportunity to talk to her for days now. "It's no big deal."
Stretching his forelegs now that he was no longer close to the ground, Indra too padded into the shallow water. The temperature was pleasantly cool, but it still evoked a shiver from him as he soon remembered that this same river, that appeared calm from this location, had almost drowned him as a pup. He frowned down at the slowly trickling water, but didn't step out. He could still remember the crushing weight in his lungs as he choked and gasped for breath, and how he had no control over the moments of his body as he was tossed around as effortlessly as a leaf by the wind... He shivered again, but the tremble was not as violent as the first time.
Indra, having momentarily forgotten about Lithium smiled as he looked over at her, quickly pushing away his near death experience to the back of his mind in some far away corner. "You don't mind if I join you here, do you?" Without any sort of care for what her answer might be, he sat down and made himself comfortable on the river's sandy bottom. Whether or not she was going to walk away was her choice; either way, Indra fully intended on enjoying his time away from the others.

Litihum was a still a little annoyed as she watched the male. Something about him was just really making her angry, then again maybe it was because she was really looking forward to spending some time by herself, an on top of that she didn't know him. She wasn't that sure of what to do with herself. She wanted to have some time by herself but it was looking as if that time wasn't now. She shrugged the idea off before looking at the male pushing her angry away she didn't want to look angry in front of another that she didn't know.
She tensed again as she noticed the male start to wander into the water. It looked like she really wasn't going to get rid of him now. She sighed and shrugged the idea off she was going to be some what friendly for now, just for now it couldn't hurt for a little while. She glanced at him and arched a brow at his question. She really didn't even understand why he was asking the question. It seemed like he was pretty bent on the idea that he was going to join her. "I guess you can." She said simply before snorting and shaking her head. "you already seem to be joining me anyway.
She flopped back down sitting on her haunches and thinking for a few moments, she was trying to figure out how much longer she was goign to be around here. "what is your name anyway?" She grunted her voice curious yet slightly annoyed at thee idea. Might as well get to know him.

She was asking for his name, huh? Indra's tail tip flicked with some surprise since he'd mostly been expecting Lithium to just walk off on him. "My name is Indra, and I am a warrior of the Haven Pack." As the words left his mouth, his tone was still full of pride. He didn't dare to say former pack, as that would be asserting that Haven was gone. Despite how even he himself had seen no traces of his pack-mates, not even any evidence that they were all dead, he refused to believe they'd lost the fight against the Darkness even though his heart told him it was so.
"And you are?" Although Indra had watched Lithium and Faiyrn's fights, he had not seen this female prior to the match. While Faiyrn had been cheered for by some of the other onlookers, he had not heard Lithium's name called by anyone. He had been curious about her since that day, but had decided against actively searching for someone that he didn't even know the name of. At least now he finally had the opportunity to learn something new. With so many wolves in the area that he didn't know, it couldn't possibly hurt to try and befriend at least one or two of them since the forming of a new pack was in order.

Lithium arched a brow at him not too sure about why he was so proud of this pack just by saying the name. She shrugged it off and focused on his name saying it over and over again in her mind. She hated to forget names so when she learned a new one she made sure to remember it the best she could. She looked at him again when he asked her a question. She knew very little knew of her name, she was pretty elusive creature.
She looked down at the water and started to lap up some of it. She sat back down finally she really was enjoying the water even though she didn't enjoy company that much. She glanced back toward him. "My name is Lithium." She said simply. She really didn't have any titles. For that matter she wasn't really that proud of her old pack. she hated her old pack so there was no use to bringing it up to anyone else. Especially when she hated it that much. There would be no way she would even mention it when she didn't want anyone else to even go in that direction.
She quietly glanced around for a moment before looking back at him then back down at the water. He was pretty cute. But she was still annoyed that he walked up to her and joine dher just because. She shuffled her feet a little uncomfortably trying to figure out what to say to himn.

"Lithium." He repeated her name aloud, just to commit it to memory. It sounded a bit foreign on his tongue so that it came out syllable-by-syllable and slow, but he didn't seem to mind. Perhaps he might better have the chance to say it right if he stuck around? He stood up again and lightly shook, dripping a bit of water from his belly. He looked down to watch a small frog swim by, its legs kicking in that funny little way and he felt an urge to jump toward it, splashing water all over the place. But oh no, no. He was in the presence of a lady and that childish spark that had welled up from nowhere just couldn't be allowed!
His gaze shifted back to watch Lithium take a drink. He wondered if she might decide to say anything else... but all he got was more silence and a quick, almost shy glance. Did she have something to hide? Or maybe it was just that he wanted to talk to her too much. He chuckled to himself, finding amusement in what was skimming through his mind at the moment. He decided to bring up some sort of topic, but not exactly because he had a lot to say. It was just that they were here together now, and until one of them left they might as well talk some more.
Indra stepped forward, moving closer to join Lithium's side of the river, preferring not be what felt like a mile away from the wolf he was trying to talk to. He knew in the back of his mind that she would not like him coming closer, but he felt that if she really wanted to get out of here she would have done it by now. "Do you always come out here to relax? You just... seem like the kind of person that would like water." Well, it was more like an educated guess than a sure-fire comment, but he could see the way Lithium's body loosened when the water had snaked its way through her fur. This was his very roundabout way of asking her if he'd find her at the river again some other day.

Lithium's ears perked up mistakingly as he said her name but he realized that he wasn't talking to her but memorizing her name as she did to his. Or atleast that was what she was pretty sure of. She flicked her tail around once or twice before sitting up. She looked over at the frog herself before she sighed and shifted herself back down. It felt better to lay in the water instead of sitting in the heat.
She looked at him as he moved closer to her. He was a little tense at it but she was going to keep her maw shut for now. She still wans't that sure what to think of it but she was going to give him credit for trying. She really respected that. Still in her mind shed rather have him go the other way.
She spaced out on the water quietly flicking her tail behind her. She watched the fish appreciating the distraction from the male. She glanced at him as she spoke his words distracting her from her fishy friend before she smield and nodded. "I have been escaping out here quite often." She admitted softly then lifted her paw and crossed it over the other. "I love swimming." She said with a smalllaugh. The water was one of her favorites It was really comforting to her.

Indra couldn't help but grin at Lithium; that laugh was beautiful. He'd try to bring one out of her again if he could, if only to hear that pleasant sound one more time no matter how little time it lasted. His shoulders squared forward cheerfully as his guess hit its mark, glad that once again he was learning something else about this female. Like a puzzle, he'd work at her piece by piece until he had figured her out. Not being too meticulous, but patience for however long it would take. He'd get his due reward if he kept at it, little by little.
"I'm not too fond of swimming myself, but I do like the rain." Nothing helped Indra better to sleep on troubled nights than the sound of the pelting rain against the ground, or the sudden cracks of lightning and booms of thunder that sometimes accompanied the downpours. The water coming down from above was a comfort that he couldn't properly explain; rain just made him happy, and he never grew tired of it. He'd grow as excited as pup that stumbled across its very first butterfly when the scent of rainclouds reached his nose. But then, there was also something else that got him just as excited. Heights.
As an adolescent, Indra had even taught himself how to climb trees (and it had been no easy task, mind you) in order to get himself even higher elevated from the ground. He'd had no business in the mountains that were territory of the Sure-Claw while he was a member of the Haven pack, a forest dweller, but he had always been envious of the spectacular view that he imagined they had. "Being closer to the sky is my best relief of stress, though." His tail wagged, another easy-going smile falling onto his maw without thought. "I'll have to show you a sunset from up high sometime. It's more beautiful than you could imagine." But as he said those words of invitation, his mind's eye was imagining what the shifting light of the sky might possibly do to make Lithium's pelt even more dazzling than it already was.

Lithium flopped her tail beside her lazily she was finally contempt with the way that she was laying. She normally almost always had a hard time getting comfortable when others were around. Because of her past she almost always felt like anyone who was watching her was criticizing every part of her. She really never liked it. Never liked it at all. She knew when she was younger that was all that everyone around her ever did. She always hated it but dispute that she always thoughts that was what everyone was doing.
She looked at him then nodded. "I love the rain too, it is nice." She said simply. she did enjoy the rain at times when she had the chance she would stand out in the rain or run in it. What ever worked at the moment or what she felt like. The rain was very much nice to her. Some others thought she was crazy because of that but she was guessing that this male must have been a little idffernet if he liked the rain too. But then again she did know some that said they loved the rainb ut that is if they were safe in their den. But Lithi thought that wasn't what it meant to love the rain.
She looked a him with a confused look for a moment then shook her head not that sure of what he was meaning. "Closer to the sky?" She questioned curiously to him. She really didn't know what he was saying but that but then his next comment made her ears twist some and fold back a little. She wasn't hta tsure about that idea. she really didn't know the male but yet at the same time she really didn't have the nerve to flat out turn down some one. "Umm.. Maybe." She chuckled quietly.

Indra laughed, tail wagging behind him as he snapped himself out of his own little reverie. It seemed he hadn't been clear enough to Lithium for her to properly understand what he had meant. Now that he thought about it... "closer to the sky" was a little bit vague, wasn't it? "Sorry if I've confused you, Lithium. I was inviting you to see a view with me from the cliffs, or a tree perhaps, if you ever feel that adventurous." The feel of the breeze flowing through his fur and just the beauty of the forest was more than enough to make Indra happy for days on end. He couldn't help but want to share it with someone else.
"I can understand though, if you don't want to spend so much time with a stranger." But, that's why he was trying to come across as friendly in the first place. He didn't want to stay unfamiliar with the white femme. Indra wasn't sure if they could become friends after just one little outing together, but it was worth a shot to at least give out an invitation.
Indra opened his maw to say something else, but was interrupted by the sound of his own stomach growling. The sound wasn't too terribly loud, but his ears still folded back with a tiny bit of embarrassment. "Eh, I guess I'm hungry..." Indra had yet to eat that morning, and it was roughly the time that he usually set aside to eat breakfast. "I guess I'll be off to find something to eat, then. Do you want me to bring anything back for you?" He wouldn't mind sharing his prey, but there would be no point if Lithium had no desire to eat as well.

She didn't have the heart to turn some one down in moments like this to a point she was unsure of what to say to the other. She didn't want to turn him down but she didn't know him. She looked at him and shrugged. "It wouldn't hurt to join you." She said simply before flicking her hair out of her eyes and then smiled very slightly she hadn't been used to others asking her to go places with them. It really wasn't something that she was used to.
She shook her head at his next comment before smiling slightly at him. "I don't mind." She chuckled slightly at the idea before looking at him with another really soft smile. "I'll go with you." She said, the smile faded off of her face, it wasn't because of him but her smiles never really lasted that long, it was just the way she was.
Her ears moved back toward him and she shook her head. "I'm not really that hungry." She clicked her tongue off of the roof of her mouth before nodding at him. "Nah you don't have to bring anything back It's okay." She noeeded at the idea.
