For some, have you ever noticed that when you use a cheat code, you can use aerith all through out the disk 3 of your PSX CD?
I have a theory and nothing else.
This game (FF7) was the 1st come back to 3D ever since the famouse FF6 (FF3 for japan) and they makers had alot on their mind, since people loved a bit romance mixed with fairytale actions and it was also the time when graphics made alot of deal, so they may have tried hard to mix all those (with stunning effects for a PS1 FF comeback!!) But since they had alot on their mind and they had a deadline to launch it, they had to make some cut backs one og them is reviving aerith. her death was an original plan, kinda like how they want the plot to be thrilling, they kill of the hero's inspiration and thus giving us a sense of climax in the end, if they had (i repeat, i they had) revived earith, but due to cutbacks they cut-off aerith. one clue is this: using game codes.
game codes are meant to manipulate and never to create a command or detailed additional story, character or whatever graphics to the program/game. *WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?* that the data for aerith was still there in disk 3, but that was when they had to make some cutbacks so aeriths data was still there, because game codes can be used to attain her in battle.

do you have an idea what's the code..... xd ....., it would be cool to see her revived, but i don't use her in battle (CLOUD/TIFA/VINCENT combo atw xd ) but .....

I don't really see why they wouldn't have the data for Aeris on disc 3, it can't take up that much space, I wouldn't assume it was worth them getting rid of the Aeris character data on the disc so they just lumped it in with the other lot.
You can play as Sephiroth all the way through the game too, despite him only being playable on Disc 1. The data's still there though.

I was going to say some stuff but ViolentMoodSwings said almost word for word what I was going to say. I mean... I faught emerald weapon the other day with sephiroth in my party.... so the data being there doesn't mean so much.

With the Codes....do you need Gameshark to put them in?
Or
Do you use a PS2/PSX Button Combo to unlock the Data?
I'll be getting Final Fantasy VII very soon...I found one in PERFECT never opened condition and I'm going to see if my Dad'll buy it for me....cause Mum won't!

I've looked for button combos for any final fantasy and I've never found one for any of them. EDIT: And the gameshark isn't mine I borrowed it when I was halfway through the game and I've had sephi ever since.

Try downloading through BitTorrent Program, I'm sure you can download it there as well as anything else. If you want codes go to www.cmgsccc.com. I've used thier codes for years.

They were most likely on a rush beacause VII was the first of it's type of Final Fantasy...I don't know what I'm saying because I never got to play it! I'm just taking my common knowledge of the game...but when they finish a Remake (5 Years, 300 Staff +) We should know if they leave the Data in! But it could also be a Bonus, They could have left the Character Battle Data on the Disc for a surprise for everyone....like a Fun Cheat you can enjoy! I mean if you have Sephiroth & Aries on the Third Disc...can't you then fight Dark Sephiroth with Sephiroth & Arieth?

I"ve wanted the GameShark for a long time, but I can't find it anywhere! There are all of these cool cheats that I have read about, but I never get to try them. crying

I have a gameshark, but I never try the rivive Aerith code. I thought it might ruin the game or something, like she just get ignored....I don't have a PS1 anymore. The gameshark doesn't work on my PS2...I think it's not program for it. So it's useless to me now...I should try when I had the chance. crying
