The sun was only just peeking over the large lake that centered their lands. The water sparkled so prettily against the light of the sun, and the pack would soon be bustling around like normal.
Of course, there were many already up, like the dedicated Mwindaji, Maziwa and the odd little shaman, Damu. The Mkuu sat relaxed by his den this early morning. Nothing needed his immediate attention, and he was grateful.
Normally he would be high up, watching the lands for anything out of order, but today was a day of relaxation. His pups were getting more rambunctious as days went by, and he wanted to share his morning with his children.
A small chuckle came deeply from the Hyena's throat, mirthful with the atmosphere of the pack. He could feel in his bones that today could potentially be a good one.

Nevea's little eyes slowly began to open, she blinked a few times to gather her surrounds before standing up and stretching. Her little yawn was quickly followed by a squeak.
Nevea is definitely a morning pup. She loves rising early and always feels loaded with energy. On this fine morning, she woke to see her father sitting not but a few feet from her, this made her very happy.
Nevea is a daddy's girl. She aspires to be as great as he is. Anything father says, Nevea will do without question. Pride loyalty and the courage to protect the pride, she was born to protect it.
Taking a glance around at her family, making sure none of the other seemed to be in distress, she walks over to her father and sits beside him, resting her little hit against him.

The dark male looked down when he felt something brush against his side, a small weight to it. Her game a soft smile down at the small figure of his youngest daughter. "Good morning, young one," he said with a soft voice.
He flipped the red bangs out of his own face a bit to see his little girl better.

Nevea looked up and smiled, she loved her daddy so. Nuzzling into his fur, she gazed out at the many things going on outside the den. With wonderment she gazed thinking of the day she could too serve her father, and the pride.
"Such a lovely day father" she said gently "Does all fair well?" Although she already knew that nothing was going on by what she could see outside of the den, she wanted to show an interest in the pride to gain praise from her father.

He smiled at the young white female. "Everything is well, nothing's out of place thus far. It's been quite peaceful," he informed his daughter dutifully. He gave her a small affectionate nuzzle.
"Did you sleep well?" He questioned, hoping she had. Cubs needed rest to grow, after all.

She smiled and squeaked a little has her father nuzzled her. "I did father, I slept well." she replied promptly. Her eyes gazing out over the lands once more, eagerly awaiting a chance to prove herself to the pack.
Momentarily she shifted her eyes back to the den, to watch on her sleeping family. As much as she love the pride, they came first, their safety and well being was her top concern.

"That's great," Xx'a said in response. He was happy. His children were simply adorable and strong. All ten were strong, and so wonderful. They would grow well into their roles for the pack.
Xx'a looked off into the distance as well. He couldn't see as well as before, especially with the constant malnutrition straining his body. He still wasn't up to par, even though he had plenty to eat now.
He nuzzled the little girl, with a smile suddenly. All would be well. "Do you see anything? I'm afraid my eyesight isn't that great," he asked softly.
