gotta depend on what deck your usign, and what your opponent specializes in. thats a really big factor. so i'd probably lave to say Fog.

id say any of the 1 or 2 drop instances just because of isochron scepter....oh and orims chant is another good damage preventer that wasnt listed since it also allows them not to play spells or attack

Kasmizar In white deck good is Etheral Haze. Oh yeah, it is the same as Holy Day but with a different name, and for Kamigawa block. Really nice because you can splice Arcane things onto it.

Ironfist Crusher+Sand Skin+Make it an Artifact+Make it fly+Heroic Resolve or other huge Toughness Boost
That's going to screw any rush decks, since they have to allocate all of their damage to the Ironfist... and it doesn't die, since you can't terror, dark banish, and any other killspell costs too much to kill him. And even then, you could always slap in a Crown of Awe, and that'll be that.
