I have two stories I want to share, but I can't find the articles for them.
The first. A twelve year old girl is home alone when two armed robber break in to the house. She runs to her dad's gun, grabs it and shoots the one dead. Then chases off the other one. She had been handling guns since she was eight, I believe. Now how awesome is that?
A grandmother goes on a "rampage" to find the men who raped her grandaughter. the cops were not looking in to the story at all so the grandmother got fed up with them and found the guys on her own. She shot them. I forget the whole details, but woot grandma!

One time in Israel, some terrorists armed with automatic weapons decided they wanted to kill some people. So, they found themselves an innocent looking restaurant, walked in, and opened fire. And lost. That's right, they picked a fight with innocent civilians, and got their asses handed to them. How? There are basically no gun laws in Israel, so people are allowed to carry whatever they want. And it just so happens that many of the people in that restaurant had a little fully-automatic surprise for those terrorists. PWNED!

I would never give a child a weapon, they may end up seriously hurting someone because the majority of eight year olds don't understand how the world works and would most likely not think much of pointing and pulling the trigger, no matter the what target is.

Yea, I agree that it's best to introduce guns at a young age, but 8? I don't like the idea of an armed 8 year-old.

I got my first BB gun at, like, eleven or ten. It was a plastic dinky pistol that had to be cocked after evey shot and couldn't really hit anything. I shot my first gun at 13 though.
