Not so far in the distance, a small ball of what seemed to poufy fluff, were minding its own business. This ‘business’ consisted of circling around a funny shaped rock, taking regular breaks in order to inspect it more closely. Once in a while, the small creature would give off a bark that reminded a bit more of bad case of hiccup, rather then a sound a canine would make. On a rare occasion, it would wag its tail and bounce quickly back and forth then suddenly stop to return to what it was doing moments before. Whether the business has any importance or meaning, it didn’t seem to be in any kind of haste in whatever it was doing. One thing was certain though; it had discovered something unfamiliar and exciting. Whatever it was, it was small enough that a normal person had to be at least five steps away to see what it was. From what the fuzzy figure understood, it had to be some sort of lost keepsake. Who owned it though it didn’t know, for the only scent it had was of the rusty material it was covered in. It didn’t want to get too close to the relic either. After all it was foreign item; what if it was it was dangerous? ‘You never know’, it thought, scratching away that itchy feeling behind the ear and soon returned to the former behavior.

"Don't go to far." A human girl's voice called out. The rainbow striped puppy barked once and then was off to explore the park, while her owner sat and read a book on a park bench beneath a tree. Snookie walked around until she saw a lemon colored puppy circling around and around. She tilted her head to the side and watched the other puppy for a moment before curiosity got the best of her. She walked over by the puppy and sat down. "What are you doing ?" She asked, tilting her head to the side once more. She looked at the object on the ground and wondered what it was, then looked back at the other puppy, waiting patiently for a reply.

The fuzzy, little figured studied the pup on her side, trying its best to keep it's poker-face. The rainbow striped canine had in fact given it quiet a fright, although it didn't want to admit it straight out. "To be honest, I'm not entierly sure about it" it mumbled and sniffed inn the rusty aroma. After a few moments of dazing into nothing, the lemon pup sneezed out the rests of what got stuck in it's nose. "Forgive my manners, but who might you be? I've never seen you around these parts before. Are you my new neighbor?".

"It's alright. I wonder if my human would know what it is ?" Snookie said then looked at the lemon yellow pup and wags her tails. "My name is Snookie. I live near by with my human Krystal, but this is the first time I've been to this part of the park. What's your name ?" Snookie was always curious, be it about another puppy or about some inanimate object, she always wanted to know about things.

"So it's you I've smelled up by the yogurt store..." it mumbled to itself. Although the area was a good neighborhood for both owners and pets, not a lot of people lived around the brand new apartments. It could be because the place was a bit oddly placed, but most likely it was the fact that oddballs and artist of all sorts were known to roam around. "The eccentric part of town" you could say. The puppy presented herself as Sherry and went on with the regular welcome speech, as she found it as the most polite thing to do at the moment. One thing was for sure; she didn't plan on becoming impolite because she was a little busy with a discovery. "And if you ever need assistance, just bark. You'd be surprised how many dogs who's willing to give a helping paw. Myself, I live up there on the very top", Sherry pointed her nose up towards the sky. "It not easy to reach me, seeing as it is a tower block. My owner probably thinks he's some sort of bird, living so high up. He's by the pond, 'painting with light' as he says. Morgan is the tall guy with the long fur on his head". He never grooms it though, Sherry went on before she jumped up in excitement. "But enough about that. You said your owner might know what it is, yes? Let's ask her. She might even know who it belongs too". Sherry couldn't keep her curiosity in place anymore; she simply had to find the answer. She felt it was important, that something would be very wrong if it wasn't returned to it's proper place.

"Yeah, my owner likes yogurt, though I dislike the taste and smell." Snookie said with a shudder. She got to her feet with her tails wagging and looked at the rusty looking object. "It's nice to meet you Sherry and I'll keep that in mind." She said as she looked at the other puppy again before she looked at the object again. "I don't know why anyone would want to live so high up. Me and my owner live in a close to the ground kind of place." She said then looked over at the the man Sherry had made reference to. She then got excited like Sherry about finding out about the object. "That's right. Krystal knows a lot of stuff, so she might know what it is. Follow me." Snookie said as she gently picked up the item in her mouth and then started heading for her owner.

Sherry eyed closely the relic as it was lifted up. Hopefully it wasn't too rusted. It would be quiet a shame for something that beautiful to crumble to red dust. It seemed so familiar, yet foreign where it was dangling from Snookie teeth. "Say, Snookie; what do you think it is? Give it a guess. Is it an accessory? Decoration?". A small chime played in Sherry's ears. The objects seemed to imitate the sound of a bell. How odd, she thought and sped up. She was lagging a little behind.
The camera flashed as the ducklings fled. Morgan missed his chance yet again. "Stupid ducks... won't hold still for even a second" he muttered and cursed. Four days straight, and not a single good photo had been taken. His paycheck was threatening to fly out the window. As his assigned project didn't seem to get anywhere, Morgan decided to give his lazy lil lady, Sherry, a good workout. She wasn't exactly known as the most active pup on the planet. He scouted the park, trying his best to catch her sleeping spot. No luck. Something moved in the corner of his eye. A white dog. Not his. A golden, fluffy monster, was running behind it. "Sherry is... running?". Morgan couldn't believe his eyes. She usually never ran of her own free will.

"I can't really say." Snookie said carefully, so that she didn't drop the item of interest. "It may have been a piece of what my human calls, a necklace." Snookie finally reached her human and whined, to get the girl's attention. Krystal looked up from her book and saw Snookie with something in her mouth and a lemon colored puppy right behind her.
After closing her book, Krystal leaned over and held her hand out below Snookie's chin. "May I have what is in your mouth please ?" Krystal said nicely to her puppy. Snookie wagged her tails and then dropped the item in her owner's hand. Krystal looked at the item and then smiled. "Looks like you two found a bell of some kind." Krystal said then knelt down in the grass. She petted her puppy with her free had while the other held the rusty item. She then held out her hand to Sherry. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you." She said soothingly so that Sherry might come closer to her.

Sherry stared at the girl's hand. She didn't feel like getting any closer. She sat down and waited for the human to finish the inspection of the relic. Sherry's tail wagged with excitement and impatience. It was almost four o'clock, according to the old man who just walked by, talking to this wife. Morgan should be getting restless at this hour. She simply had to know before it was too late.
"Oi, princess! Let's get going already!", Morgan shouted, trying his best to avoid spilling out the contents of his old messenger bag. He was hungry. Very hungry. Quiet irritated as well. He looked over at Sherry again and where she was at. Great, she just decided to sit down and refuses to come back. "Man, now I gotta carry her as well...". It wasn't after he got under the tree that he discovered that his 'princess' was sitting in front of a young woman and the white and rainbow striped pup. The girl was holding something unfamiliar. "Oh, hello", he stuttered out surprised. Morgan looked at the puppy once more. "I take it you've visited the teashop as well?".

Krystal smiled at the yellow pup and continued petting Snookie, while she looked at the rusty trinket. Of course because she was busy looking at the rusty item, she nearly jumped when she heard a man's voice near her. Krystal looked up and smiled. "Hello." She said as she stood up and brushed grass off her. "Oh, yes. That is where I got my precious little Snookie." She said still smiling. "I am guessing that this pretty yellow puppy is yours ? If so it appears that our little furballs have found an old bell of some kind." With that, Krystal held out the trinket. "By the way, I'm Krystal and the rainbow striped pup at my feet is Snookie." She added on.

Morgan grinned. Krystal seemed to be a sweet girl. "Yes, this lil princess belongs to me. She has caused any trouble, has she?". Sherry glared sarcastically at her master. Morgan's gaze shifted back to the item in her hand. "An old bell?". His eyebrows raised up with curiosity. "You don't say?", Morgan looked more closely. Nope, he hadn't seen anything like it before. Strangely enough, he felt it was familiar still. "It looks quiet expensive. Who in the world would leave something like this in a park". More importantly; how would this affect his dinner?
Sherry's stare shifted quickly between the humans, Snookie and the relic. "Come on, Krystal" she muttered. "Snookie said you knew lots of stuff. Please say you know more about it". Morgan was on the verge of dragging her away to home and the clouds. She couldn't sit still with her heart beating so quickly.

"Unless she stirred up trouble somewhere else, she's been a perfect little angel." Krystal said before Snookie pawed at her pant leg. Krystal bent over and gently picked up her puppy, then went back to looking at the bell. "I have no idea who would leave something like this here, but judging from the rust on it, I'm gonna say it's been here for a while." She said then looked at Sherry then Morgan.
"I'm also guessing that it may have been part of a collar or some kind of jewelry. A bell this size isn't used for much else besides that." Krystal said while Snookie lounged in her arms.

"Good, good" Morgan mumbled to himself. He actually expected something else, but was relived that Sherry didn't create another set of bills. "A while, you say?". That statement was indeed a bit odd, for the park had only been open for a few weeks, and people regularly came to pick up both trash and lost items. "A bit weird that it wasn't found until now". Morgan looked over at Krystal again. The conversation felt a bit single topiced. "I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? I'm Morgan, and you're already familiar with Sherry", Morgan pointed towards the puppy chewing on his old jeans. "Sooo... how long have you been a dog owner?".
Sherry looked with glowing eyes at Snookie. "So what Krystal is basically saying, is that it might belong to another dog? Maybe one of us?". Her heart raced with the possibility of another pup of their own kind could be in the area. Now that her questions were finally answered, Sherry could relax and go on to her normal behavior and life. That included chewing on Morgan until he gave her treats. Maybe going home wouldn't be so bad right now? "Morgan; get their address. We should show them around later this week" Sherry commanded him, but he didn't seem to hear it.

"It may have been laying just right that it took the keen nose of a dog to find it." Krystal said with a shrug. She listened to what the man said and nodded. "It's nice to meet you Morgan, and yes, I've met Sherry, sort of." She said with a smile. "To be perfectly honest, Snookie is the first dog I've ever owned, but fortunately, we seem to like the same stuff, so it makes it a bit easier to work with her, not to mention the really informative dog care and training book I bought after I got Snookie."
Snookie looked down at Sherry as she listened to what the other puppy said. "What she's saying, is that it may belong to either a human or another dog or a cat." Snookie said, before she turned and looked up at her owner, tails wagging. Krystal and Snookie hadn't quite gotten the hang of talking with telepathy yet, but Krystal was pretty good at guessing what her puppy wanted.
The girl looked at her puppy before she looked at Morgan. "I think Snookie wants to know when the next time you and Sherry will be coming here, because I think she wants to hang out more with Sherry." She said chuckling.

"Aw... don't kill the thrill Snookie. Be more optimistic. You're the first dog of out kind I've met since I... you know...left". Sherry didn't want to admit it straight out, but she missed being among a flock of noisy pups, play fighting and exploring. This world was great and all, but not quiet the same. The pup's gaze moved back to Krystal. The human caught on quickly. She was smart, just like Snookie said. Unlike Morgan, who had to be bossed around in order to understand anything. The bond between them only worked when both of them were concentrating on each other. Even then Sherry sounded like a soft whisper.
"You don't say?", Morgan smiled. He too was a new owner, although it seemed like he was having more troubles then her. He couldn't help but to be a little jealous. Morgan's eyes widened when Krystal offered a play-date for their darlings. It came up quiet unexpectedly. He quickly replied that Friday, around four to seven, was good for him. His project would end on Sunday. This could be the perfect opportunity to exchange pet-care advices (which he badly needed), and more importantly, a chance to get some cute photographs. Who doesn't like photo's of puppies?
