Hey minna! I finally caught a few minutes to post something. Yay!
So my best friend gave me Miyazaki's last film to borrow for the convention. My brother and I watched it Sunday and I must say...

I was highly disappointed. I think the concept was good and what not, but I wasn't impressed with the storyline or the finished project at all. I felt that the important events fell short especially, and the people were strange (always happy).

I wish this wasn't his last film but, you know. Oh well. Ponyo was so cute as a fish though!

Ponyo Ponyo Ponyo sakana no ko!

I really liked the movie. I can't help but love all the movies that Miyazaki makes. They bring out the childish joy in me. I liked that the ending was simply that Ponyo was under Lisa's care now. It leaves more to the imagination. You can decide whether or not Ponyo marries Sosuke and how her whole life goes. I think the most important part of her life story is that which is covered in the movie.

In short: It's actually my favorite Miyazaki film.
