The silver and blue basted rested in the reeds at the edge of the river, not quite in the water, and not quite on dry land. It just... sat there... alone. Waiting. Perhaps for someone or something in particular. Perhaps for anything to come along. Or maybe just for whatever was inside to grow large enough to come out. There was an air of forlorn patience emanating from the basket. Frost picked her way along the river, wandering. It was such a peaceful place, with so few Soquili. She was breathing easily, and enjoying her solitude when she nearly tripped over the basket. She frowned at it, wondering what in the world it was doing there. Well... whoever had left it would doubtlessly be upset if it got wet, so, trying to be helpful, she'd nudge it further away from the water and more into the path, where the sunlight would glint off the silver of the basket, in an eye catching manner. The glints nearly blinded Frost.

Pachu'a was walking through the woods. To say that he was annoyed would be an understatement. It would also be obvious. After all, he breathed, and found a reason to be annoyed. Mostly it was the company he kept. He hated being alone, but virtually everyone annoyed him. So he was walking the woods, in a bad mood...when a glint of something caught his eye. He stopped and blinked away after images. He was nearly as blind as if he had been fool enough to stare at the sun. You know... again. Glaring as his vision cleared, he made sure to look to the side of the glint as he stalked towards it, ready to gave whoever was carelessly blinding stallions a piece of his considerable mind.

Frost shook her head slightly, trying to blink away the spots left behind by the glaringly bright shine. "Maybe I should dust this thing up," she muttered to herself. A bad habit she'd formed by spending too much time alone.
Something inside the basket stirred slightly.

Pachu'a saw her as he got closer and his eyes narrowed. A million things flitted through his head and was discarded before he finally spoke. "What kind of an idiot goes around blinding other horses?" he asked. Hey, considering the comments he wanted to make, especially given her freakishly odd appearance, it was downright civil.

She squeaked and jumped away from the basket. "I...I...I...I..." she mumbled.

"........" I I I.... "You you you.... what are you, some kind of narcissist?" he sneered. "Do you speak whole words, or are you just dim? A balance to your colors?" and that blinding light.

"Sorry," she managed to spit out the last word, eyes wide and trembling.

He narrowed his eyes. She was quiet. He could almost like her maybe. Except for the fact that she annoyed him.

He glanced at the basket then glared back at her again, waiting for a real explanation of some sort.

Oh wonderful. She was a freak and he had to lean closer to hear her. Brilliant. Was this her stunning master plan to get guys? Speaking so low the stallion had to draw near? Pathetic. "Good for you," he said dryly, refusing to be baited. His ears were pricked to catch as much of the sound ad he could without advancing, without letting her win. Annoying filly.

She flinched and took a step back, mumbling... something incoherently.
Inside the basket... something rustled.

His tail flicked as his eyes were pulled towards the basket. His ears flattened back and he forced his eyes away from it. He remembered... something to do with baskets... but... what was it?
