Glow was exploring. As soon as she had grown strong enough to flit about on her own, the green firelizard had taken to exploring about all the parts of the Weyr that she possibly could. Everything was so big! It was practically begging to be searched!
Having combed most of the boys' barracks earlier (and found quite a few interesting things along the way), the young flit was currently over on the girls' side. The place was currently vacant as it was midday, but there were so many cool shinies! Glow poked about the barracks, pausing occasionally to admire and play with the pretty things. Currently she was investigating this reflective glass, trying to figure the item out. How was there another like her in the flat thing? So puzzling...

A bronze head rises up out from the covers on one of the bunks. Sleepy and half amused he watches the little green. She didn't have hair like his mistress, but he knew it was still fun to play peak-a-round with it.
He trills softly. Just don't mess with the stuff in front of it. His would get mighty mad. He really didn't want his mad.

Glow was slightly startled to find that she wasn't alone, but after her initial jump she calmed back down. Another like her! And Bronze too! Excited, she chittered and sent him an image of what she saw in the reflective glass. There was another of them trapped in it! How could they set it free? Being so young, she had no concept of 'mirrors' and 'reflections' just yet.

Mud had followed his clutchmate into the girl's barracks, he sat in the rafters and watched as she pawed at something, he couldn't see what she was chittering about. He jumped a little and nearly squeaked as a bronze emerged from the covers on one of the beds, he watched hopefully still unseen as Glow pawed at the object in front of her.

Glow recognized the familiar squeak of her cluthcmate and lifted her head to look up at the rafters. She didn't immediately see where he was hidden, but she did trill a greeting of hello before sending him the same mental image. Mustsaveflit! It would be wrong of them all to leave the fellow green stuck in the flat thing after all. She clawed at the glass some more, watching as her counterpart did the same from the other side. See? She wanted out!

Mud chirruped at the image his clutchmate sent he flitted down, chirping a greeting to the bronze, before sniffing at the glass, which now showed a Brown as well as a Green. Confused he flew down to the floor, and looked under the table *noflitshere* he wondered and went back to Glow's side, scratching at the glass as well.

Boreal gives a huge yawn, his tongue waggles comically. Pulling himself out of the nest in the furs he made, he waddles to the edge to jump onto the stand. His belly bulging with his latest meal. A bronze flit now joins the green and brown in the mirror.
He tilts his head and trills. Silly flits, didn't they know. His explained it to him when he thought exactly the same thing. That was them. They could see themselves and how pretty they were. His did it all the time.

Mud crooned to the 'trapped flits' then grumbled over to the bronze *helphelp* he projected, sitting back and looking again at the glass trapping the flits within *nosmellnosmell* he sent to his green clutchmate wondering why the flits weren't giving off any kind of signals, not even any images of bing trapped or anything, this confused him and he scratched a little at his wing bases *itchy*

Glow was surprised when a brown flit just like Mud appeared in the flat-thing as well just as he came next to her. She had renewed again her efforts to free them until the bronze flit from the bed joined them. Theyus? she questioned back when he explained the reflective glass. Looking back into it, her eyes whirled with a mix of curiosity and pleasure now. Prettypretty, she dedeuced, please with seeing how she looked to others. Theyusyes? How? Did the flits in the flat thing change their appearance to match whoever visited them?

Boreal sits down and regards the bronze, green, and brown flits in the mirror. See them? Watch the little bronze. He extends a wing as at the same time the reflection does the same. See how he was mimicked perfectly? They do exactly what they did. That's how His had explained it to him. He refolds his wing and arches his neck. Yup yup, pretty.
He croons soothingly to the brown. All he had to do to free the brown was to move out of it. The brown would follow. How he wasn't sure, but His had proven that to him. He didn't know how they changed to look like so many, but they did.
