Just been down to my local F.P store and while buying a new series pack of all 11 doctors shown HERE I noticed a hanging picture behind the guy who was bagging my item.
The picture showed what apeared to be all 11 doctors but 10 of them apeared in their previous regen's clothing. The pack was called the Regeneration Pack.
The box looked the same to the one I had purchesed so I asked if they had any in stock and was quickly told that the new box set will be out next year with a new series of Doctor Who and that it included the very first Doctor in alternate clothing.
I quickly pre-ordered a box and the man handed me a recipt with pictures on it for upcoming items the store would later sell next year.
I noticed the 10th doctors TARDIS and was curious why it was coming out in 2011! as the picture stated in bold white letters. I asked about it and the guy behind the counter told me that it was one of many TARDIS type sets that was coming out.
He wasn't sure how many different types would show up but he knew there would be at least 4 different ones based on the 4 that are already being sold as toys.
He said these TARDIS are all very much the same as the ones being sold now and with all the features inculding 3 figures with accessories. He couldn't give me any info on what these accessories would be, only that it would have a Sonic screwdriver, 3D glasses, Pocket watch, Standard Glasses, Psychic paper and a Sonic gun to name a few. He wasn't sure of the figures but knew the 10th in his blue pin stripe suit would be included for the 10th style TARDIS just like the ones currently on sale.
He also went on to tell me that these TARDIS would sell for £399.99p
I asked why so expensive and he explained that the new TARDIS has an inbuilt hard drive containing every episode including the new series up to 2011, with option of comentary. Inlcuding all audio books, lots of pictures, the adventure computer games as well as top trumps games for PC and a Torchwood like program that has bio's for all characters and monsters with information on tech and story line as well as other things. It also includes all the lost episodes reconstructed and deleted scenes as well as interviews and all confidential epsiodes along with books.
I could see on the box in the picture, Scenes from the alternate 9th doctor and the movie including the other movies that are not even cannon.
Apparently the HDD TARDIS is exclusive to the UK because we pay a TV license based on the BBC. Also the TARDIS is a limited flashes and makes sound with opening doors and stuff.

Thought I would mention it as it seems the perfect collection even if it is highly priced.

Maybe, but then again, when will Doctor Who end for good? Will it ever end for good?

maybe not, but they could wait until he at least runs out of his normal # of regenerations.

XD I pre-ordered one after telling everyone. In my haste I forgot to put my order down the first time crying .

I thought they should have waited till at least the 11th's story was over but seeing how this is made to get people into the 11th, I guess I can see why they did it now. If they waited any longer this thing would go up in price. Besides, it's a hard drive. You can easily put more episodes onto it.

Edit) I pre-ordered a 10th because the dark hue and blue lights did it for me. I expect only long time fans will be picking up the 2 older Tardis though and as much as I wanted that 4th doctor figure, leela and Romana I. I just couldn't break away from the darker Tardis.

Surely I can't be the only one skeptical about this? I don't imagine for a second they'd officially license such a massive wtf datadump when they make so much money shilling it all out seperately. On top of that the BBC doesn't own the Top Trumps brand even if they've licensed them the rights to make Who merchandise, so how they'd be able to put those on there is anyone's guess.

Presumably it's some sneaky unofficial fanbuilt whozit, which means it'll likely be banhammered off the face of the planet if the BBC get wind of it. That, or it's a big ole scam D:

Yeah but the BBC doesn't own Big Finish, Big Finish doesn't own Character Options and yet Character Options still make bundle toys with DVD's in and Big Finish audio Drama stuff. And Character Options currently sell figures with Top Trumps cards.

I got a little worried though (Having spent $80 pre-order I think it works out with USD from GBP) and did some checking and it turns out that for all Who stuff (video wise) you would need a 200gb hard drive. I think this would be about a 220 or 230. company's seem to work together all the time and we currently have a Tardis USB hub that a new company made. The classic episodes can be watched free from the BBC website and thanks to our TV licence we can watch who episodes for free using BBCPlayer and even download em' off the net. Audio stuff is online and the Web videos are free to anyone to pick up. So I think it would cost them nothing at all to throw a Tardis HDD out there.

But I am now worried because I can't find any mention of this or the Regen pack of doctors online. I know they currently sell them all but not in a pack. Forbbiden Plannet is a reputable store but it does sound a little too good to be true... *Clings to recipt*

Yeah, the fact it's from Forbidden Planet is encouraging, as they're a pretty notable retailer. I can't see how it would benefit them to get involved in any sort of scammery because they have a reputation to defend.

Worst case scenario is it's all homebrew stuff they're knocking up in independent stores by bundling items together and not an 'official' release, persay...but even then if you get yourself a sweet hard-drive loaded with Who goodies out of the deal I'm gonna be pretty jealous D:<

Iunno, sure you can get one imported from the UK if you have the cash.
