Din's tail flitted casually behind her, back and forth. Thoughts ran through her mind- what she had learned about her past, and just what she would do with it. She... hadn't really thought of what would happen if she didn't like the outcome of her findings. So far, she was finding that her last self was mildly less selfish. "What do you think, Aki?" Din asked, having shared her information with the maned wolf. She turned to look at the wolf, who was laying on the other side of the tree in the shade. Aki seemed to have been falling asleep, but was awake enough to hear the question."Honestly, I think you're a little obsessed," Aki admitted casually, flicking an ant across the sand. She had found some sort of refuge with the goddess of gravity... At first she had thought it was an awful idea, but Din gave her pretty much free reign for a little bit of company and someone to run a small handful of errands. She had become comfortable with Din- treated her like she would anyone else. After all, if the goddess was to get mad at her for something she said, well, she would have figured that she'd have punished her by now. "Did it ever occur to you that maybe you don't remember some parts of your past because you didn't want to?""Don't be ridiculous. If that were the case, I wouldn't remember what I do remember, and I'd remember what I've forgotten." She saw the wolf shrug and yawn in return, so she dropped speaking with the creature for now.
The goddess heaved a sigh. "I'm bored. I wish the heat would let up.... Or something interesting would come along," Din said, head on her paws, sapphire eyes panning back and forth over the horizon.

Momo was passing by, as she usually was. While she had a home or sorts within the Mizuka'nyevu, she still enjoyed her travels, especially so now that she felt much more confident about herself. Her kids were grown (mortal and immortal both), and as they didn't need her too often, she let herself roam, in the name of love!
She paused, sniffing the air. What was that? There was little in terms of breeze, and even with her light coat she could feel the heat. Wings helped to protect her body from the worst of it, but she could still sense that someone more...important might be around. She loved mortals, but she wasn't going to dissuade herself from fellow gods, if that indeed was what she suspected was around. It could be a mortal child, and sometimes her inexperience shined through and made her incorrect.
She turned her pathway towards where she thought there might be something, towards that tree. And some lumps, it looked like.

A scent wafted on the breeze to the wolf's nose. She perked up and looked towards the source to see a figure approaching. She looked over to her partner- Din-tei hadn't seemed to notice yet. One more glance between the two of them before she decided to speak up. "Hey," the goddess snapped from rearranging feathers on one of her wings to attentiveness. "We've got a visitor," Aki said simply, giving her head a jerk towards the newcomer.
Din looked towards where her familiar had gestured. She finally caught the scent on the wind, and upon squinting, Din swore she could make out some wings... Another god?
"Hmmm..." Din pondered. She wondered if it was someone she'd met before, be it from this life or past ones. Well, ok, it couldn't be past ones, since she didn't remember any gods from past lives, but it could have been someone she'd met in this one. "Stay here, I'll go check it out," Din said, rising to her feet. Her tone was flat, uninterested, but she felt quite the contrary. Finally, something interesting to happen today. She quite enjoyed meeting other gods. They were equals, and one of the handful of creatures that could defy her domain with flight.
That made them very interesting indeed.
Din folded her wings carefully to shade her own back, but they weren't always entirely successful. They were semitransparent, some light (and therefore heat) made it through her wings to her core. They were better than nothing, though, and an occasional flap helped to create a breeze to cool her off.
As she got closer, Din could piece together how the sandy goddess looked. Her jewelry shimmered in the sunlight, and Din could tell that she didn't know this one. She looked harmless enough, though... She tried to guess a domain, but couldn't come up with anything conclusive. "Hey there!" she said as she got closer. It had been clear that the goddess wasn't just wandering, she was approaching.
"The name's Din-tei, I'm Gravity. Who're you?" she asked, expecting without doubt that she would get a straight answer.

Momo's ears perked up as she realized that one of the lumps had gotten up and approached her. The larger one, too. She was a little apprehensive, but as the wings took shape along her back (and the occasional flaps gave it away), she relaxed. Just because the approaching form was a god didn't mean she was safe, but she was a little more foolishly trusting of mortals, and not quite as quick to warm up to other gods as she once was.
Still, it did help a lot that what was approaching was a goddess.
"Hello," she replied, bobbing her head in welcome. "It's nice to meet you," Momo smiled. "I'm Mo'onasi, Goddess of Love." The only real give-away was her jewelry, and even then one of her children carried a similar pendant, so perhaps not a total give away. "Sorry to just intrude, my curiosity gets the better of me at times."

"Aaah, so you're love, eh?" Din said, eyes narrowing a bit. She wondered if it was worth picking a fight with love. She was probably a push over... But, on the other hand, her absolute worst experiences had been caused by love. If this goddess cursed her such that she would repeat her mistakes? No, not worth repeating, so not worth angering her to that point.
However, she doubted she could let her get away without a small lecture, and certainly not without answering some questions. "Oh, no, you're not intruding. In fact... I might just be a little glad I bumped into you here," Din said with a sarcastic smile. Her wings had stopped fanning her and were folded neatly at her side, and her tail flicked agitatedly behind her.
"Tell me something, I've always been curious, are you aware of the pain your domain brings about? Or perhaps, do you have any idea what types of lies it makes people believe?" Din asked, same expression on her face, but her words were pretty sharp.
She had loved, and then she was betrayed. All love did was make you weak, weak and ready to be burned by anyone around. During the eternity that was encompassed in being a god, it was inevitable that everyone who loved you would betray you or hurt you. Perhaps it would work for mortals because they only exist for a short while, they were mere wisps. For the persistence of lives involved in being a god... There was nothing in love but pain. She was surprised that this goddess seemed so happy about her domain.
Then again, her own domain held others down. Kept a great vast majority of them bound to earth. Some may wish to fly and never get the chance, some might detest her domain, but she loved it. Perhaps this goddess was twisted somehow... Only her response would tell. Din waited for her curiosity to be fulfilled on the precise nature of love- that wretched emotion.

Momo arched her neck for a moment, a little taken aback by the bluntness of this goddess. She had rarely confronted hostility about her domain, but she was well aware of what the side effects may be. Regardless...
"I am well aware," she replied carefully, still keeping a smile on her face, even if it was faint. "Though there is no reason to blame it on me. I am not the cause for someone to forgo their love." She flicked her tail idly while speaking. "I cannot force someone to love, and therefore can't force someone to abandon their love. That comes from Hate, the awful creature that he is."
She paused, wondering how much she should dive into. Why not? It would either make her more upset, or calm her. Bitterness never went away, even Love was well aware of that fact. "My power is much weaker against fellow immortals, and even then I can only guide one to their lifemate."

Something in the goddess clicked, just getting a form of answer. Some satisfaction in knowing that the goddess was well aware of it... Why did that help? That didn't mean anything. Still, she was calmed, to a point. She wondered if perhaps she had encountered this goddess in her last life and gotten this answer- perhaps this was the reason she was trying so hard to remember.
Unlikely. Din rolled her shoulders once before sitting back.
She rarely got so heated so quickly. She supposed it was the fault of her strongest memories... Still, she had just shown a very strong sign of weakness to a complete stranger. Unforgivable in her mind, perhaps this life was weighing on her. More precisely, perhaps the memories of an old life couldn't be carried around anymore. She tried to piece into words what she felt she needed to say.
Irritatingly enough, though, she couldn't come up with much. It seemed that love had caught her tongue. "I suppose you're right. I can't blame it on you. It's just frustrating," she said, ears pinned to her skull, showing a side rarely seen. There was still some form of "barrier" around her, it was clear she was keeping people out, but it didn't have the integrity it had 10 minutes ago. It almost seemed like a cub getting a gentle lecture from its mother.
Sometimes she was truly a pathetic creature. She regathered herself, both internally and externally. Sure, the individual before her wasn't to blame, but the domain she carried was. Gods rarely got to choose their domains, so in a sense, Momo wasn't to blame. She regained her posture before a thoughtful look crossed her face. "So, you say it's hate who is also to take the blame?" she asked. Interesting, she thought to herself. For once, her own personal situation was interesting, she wasn't just watching from the sidelines.
Nonetheless, she still believed one simple thing- avoid love altogether and you would avoid calamities such as what had befallen her in the past. She had no intention of turning back on that, but she felt she needed someone to pin blame on. Someone who was alive and kicking for eternity. Not that she would do anything but pass blame to them, though.

Momo bobbed her head. She never took to heart the anger she felt. There were things that not everyone realized immediately, and a lot of that had to do with the fact that love could blind one from the most obvious. Other things could as well, but with how confusing and life changing as love could be, she couldn't blame those that would pin it on her first. It was life.
"Hate is just as slippery as love. It slinks in, the soul unaware of it being there until something triggers it. Then it doesn't let go of it's hold, not easily. It is my opposite, and as such can work much the same as love." She wanted to say how pure love could be, but felt that Din would not like to hear it. Though she apologized (to a point), there was still a bitterness in her eyes that warned Momo to be wary of getting too personal.
"It is a shame, as the two are often mixed, but that is a part of life. Even as we immortals think ourselves better than those that die, we are just as susceptible to the weaknesses of mortals." It was why Momo found them so fascinating.

Din listened quietly, though she was growing irritated. She was sitting here, listening to a complete stranger's rant. Just because her domain was love- the very thing she blamed for her pain, she was allowing the goddess to sway her very way of life, causing her to doubt? This is rediculous, Din-tei thought to herself. Absurd.
"Perhaps- no, I'm certain of it now. Hate had something to do with it, but I'm still putting some amount of blame on you," the goddess said, eyes narrowed again. She could sense sadness in the other goddess' voice. Perhaps it was some form of pity, but she didn't want it. And to suggest that mortals were equal to immortals irritated her. Though, she supposed it was true to a point- gods of different domains did affect other gods. But still, gods and mortals were not equal in any way. Even if both are affected by something, gods are affected better. Or at least such was the way her mind thought.
"But regardless, because everyone is apparently so easy to fall to love, I can promise you, I will make sure your domain doesn't get the better of me again. That's a promise." she hissed quietly, lip curling a bit. Her hackles had been raised, but she slowly lowered them. Composure regained. That was enough of this uncomfortable situation.
"Nice to meet you, Mo'onasi," she said flatly, anger gone from her voice. The darker goddess swiveled to look back to her familiar. She was still in earshot, and it seemed the wolf was at least semi-interested in what was going on. She would be able to hear her. "Aki!" Din called. "We're going!" she turned to head a different direction than the tree they had been laying under- Din-tei wanted to go somewhere near some water before darkness came about. She saw Aki rise in the distance and start padding to meet up with her before she started walking.

Momo wasn't too surprised at the turn of the talk. It was a sensitive subject, and no one ever really wanted to hear about it. Especially if it was about them. She nodded, absorbing the irritation and telling herself to just let it fall off, like the rain falling off her wings. Much easier said than done, but she wouldn't show that weakness to this goddess. As much as she liked to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, she would never completely let her protection fall again.
"Alright," was all she replied with. She watched the body language of the opposing goddess. Momo hadn't read her correctly at all. There had been a little confusion in there for her, but then, she didn't seem to be in the most calm mindset when Momo had interrupted her. "I apologize," she added on. "I hope that one day it might grace you in the most positive way."
She probably wouldn't take that well, but then, she didn't seem to want love at all.
"The same to you, Din-tei," Momo replied with a smile, even if it was a soft one. She couldn't blame her, and she wouldn't. Momo would probably return home to see her mortal children, and they would remind her that there was more than just negativity in the world. She thought she might not cross the goddess again, but one could never tell in a realm as small as the mortal one.
"Farewell," she hastily added on, and she herself turned to depart. Home in the Mizuka'nyevu was her destination.
