 The sun had set over the horizon. The moon rose high into the night sky. A lovely black mare was strolling along in hops of finding a nice patch of grass to graze in. Her rainbow spots shimmered in the light of the moon. "Lovely night tonight. I wonder how this night will be?" She spoke to herself.
"Must not get ahead of yourself, Astral." The mare said as she shook her head then headed off into a gallop. She stopped as she headed into a clearing, not too far from a near by river.

Night had fallen over the land not too long ago, all the normal day time soquili were now going to sleep. For Enzo it was the perfect time to come out. After all it was cooler and most importantly it was quiet, something that most recently he'd been craving more then ever. Silence meant he didn't have to hear his mother's nagging, and it also meant he didn't have to hear about the b*****d that Brin had fallen for. It was heaven for the young stallion, pure heaven.
His spotted bronze coat gleamed in the moonlight as he walked. His muti-colored hair stood out brightly against the black of night. He was easily noticeable in the dim light of the moon. Unlike the black mare he was quickly moving closer and closer to, not knowing that there was another in the clearing.
That is until a ray of moonlight just happened to hit the right spot on the mare's back. A flash of light purples, yellows and orange danced as before disappearing. Now he was interested. A hint of a smirk started to form as he sped up into a heavy gallop. The endless training that his mother had put him and his siblings through really paid off, he easily caught up to whatever made such a lovely light show. When he was closer he could finally she the outline of the black rainbow spotted mare running. He grinned at the sight of her, goody something to play with...just what he needed. "Whats a girly like you doin' out so late?"

Astral's ears perk at the new voice from behind her. She turners to find the bronze stallion. She admired how he had spots like herself, but his were more striking. The white and black against his body. The orange in his hair stood out brightly in the moonlight. She smiled lightly, "I was just out on a night stroll. Maybe a night snack and a drink from the river." She explained as she walked around the stallion to get a better view of him. "Why might be out here?"

He smirked at her. She was pretty with her black body, Her legs faded into rainbows just like the spots on her back. She blended into the night beautifully. It was quite the sight really. "Night stroll huh?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, watching the mare circle him. "I'm pretty much out here for the same reason. Maybe to find someone to more or less bug before dawn." He said as he flicked his long tail. "Maybe I can kill two birds with one stone with you, miss...?"

Astral giggles as he smirked at her. Nodding at his question with a smile, "I prefer the night more than day. It's more relaxing this way." Stopping in front of him, blinking at his question. Her tail swished behind her as she thought about her answer. "I wouldn't mind some company on my stroll. I'm Astral, what might your name be?"

Enzo nodded. His sly charming side was coming out, normally he was a annoying d**k and right now he'd be teasing her. But he...wanted some change. He wanted to see if he could woo mares like he'd seen others do so easily. A game really, all of it a game to him. "Night is truly more relaxing. There aren't any idiots to bug you." He paused stepping closer. "Though there is a hint of danger with it." He smirked as he toke another step towards her. "Astral...lovely name. My name is Enzo."

Astral smiled, noticing him get closer and closer to her. "Enzo, what a lovely name." Her tail swished a little at his comment of there being danger. Her ears pointed back at the thought of someone or something attacking her out of no where. " Who or what, for the matter, would want to harm someone? Maybe us staying together would be the best idea."

Enzo smirked cockily. "Thank you." He said before flicking his ears up. He was enjoying this, well he enjoying anything that kept his mind off his problems at home. But hey, at least this time the distraction came with a pretty mare.
He snorted before outright laughing at her native thinking. "Oh you'll be shocked who. Kalonas hiding in the shadows, ready to pounce. Skinwalkers mad for a meal. Or hell, people that just love the crunch of breaking bones under their hooves." He nodded, stepping at little ahead of her. "It would, so Astral, may I be your partner in crime for the night?"

Astral stayed close to Enzo while her ears perked back up. "My two-legger's friend has a Kalona... i never who have guess she would enjoy such torment to another mare." She said with a shiver as she looked around cautiously. She looked back at the bronze stallion with a light smile. "I would be delighted to be your partner, Enzo. She began to feel a sense of safety around the stallion. She feels as if she could trust him.

Enzo shrugged lightly. "Some kalonas can turn out good, if they have the right soul. But it's rare, And they are hard to find. I myself know a very good half kalona, she is...better then me in a way." He paused, Thinking back on how when he was a foal he wanted to meet and hunt with a kalona. But he learned that they weren't all big baddies, And that he was getting in over his head trying to take on a kalona. Brin taught him that.
He smirked back at Astral and lifted a hoof, Pointing in a way where they would be heading. "Well then, Shall we be going girly?"

Astral nodded with a light smile. "We shall, Enzo." She whined as she waited for him to lead the way. She hoped that he would keep her safe from any evil hearten soquili that was looking for a meal.
