Kale sat slouched on the couch and stared at the television screen for a long moment though it was turned off for now. He was reveling a bit in the quiet that filled the house. Other than Switch he was alone but really he didn't think of Switch as someone separate from him so it was really just the same as being alone for Kale.
Kay had left earlier that morning and Quint had taken Tek out for some sort of brotherly bonding event somehow under the illusion that Switch was going to work on her own that day and when Kale tried to correct them Switch had kicked him lightly under the table and shook her head while Tek's head was turned. Being as Kale was he obeyed and simply said he was mistaken as he continued to eat breakfast with an innocent expression as ever.
Oddly enough Tek didn't expect a damn thing as he wandered out. Kale got alone time with Switch in the end so he wasn't going to complain at all. Right now he was just waiting for her to finish whatever it was she was doing to let him know what they would be doing with their time alone together. Kale sat up a bit and pondered turning on the television before he decided against it, he'd rather really focus his attention on Switch after all. The television just offered a distraction.
"Swiiiiiiitch, you're being slow," he called out teasingly.

It had been surprisingly easy to convince Tek that she was still going to work, and she had decided not to question it any further because hey, it was a gift horse. It got Tek out of the house, and it gave her some much needed alone time with her...Kale. Quint had managed to get Tek out of the house before the time Switch usually left came around, which prevented her from needing to fake leaving in order to make it work. Once the boys were gone she had oh-so forcibly forced Kale out of the kitchen, demanding that he relax because, god damnit, he does too much around the house and she has to do something too.
"Kaaaaaaallllee~" Switch whined back from the kitchen, muffled from the distance, the sound of running water, and the clink of dishes. "Shush I'm working as fast as I can...and don't you dare try to help!" She grumped stubbornly. Soon enough they were at least washed, and in the end that was good enough for now. Leaving them on the drying tray to, well, dry, she wandered back to the living room, leaning over the back of the couch to hug Kale's head...and to smoosh her wet hands on his cheeks.
"Aaaaaall done~" She said happily, leaning so far over the couch that her feet barely touched the ground, hugging onto him and nuzzling her face into his mop of dark hair.

"So sloooooow~," he continued to tease with a small laugh. Despite his teasing he wasn't prepared for retaliation from her as she wandered out and suddenly he had wet hands on his cheek but his head was being hugged by Switch. Really it was one of those moments where he couldn't decide if this was good or bad. He decided to play along and squirm a bit and whine slightly, "Ewewewewew. Your hands are still weeeeet. Towels were made for a reason you know!" he informed her as he tried to grasp her hands.
Kale relaxed his squirming a bit just to smile at the feel of her hugging him. Slowly and gently he started to lean a bit forward trying to drag her with him so. The moment she was on the couch he would try to lay back on her and pin her to the back of the couch. It seemed like fun at the moment and he was feeling playful! It wasn't often that he and Switch got to play-wrestle with just the two of them.
"I have no choice but to punish you!" he grinned cheerfully.

"I don't need a towel, I have you~" Switch said so sweetly she was practically heartbubbling with words, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. His forward leaning did drag her over the couch, and soon enough she had flopped on it herself, squeaking and pushing at his back when he insisted on trying to lay on her. "Noooo~" She whined through her laughter, trying to stop Kale from squishing her. Wiggling, she managed to pull herself into sitting up behind him, one leg on either side of him and her arms around around his head again.
"Nope, not allowed. You have to be nice to me today." She informed him, headbutting him lightly from behind. Sure he could still pin her from here, but she was a bit more comfortable with it now.

"Well if I had to be someone's towel I may as well be yours," he smirked a bit. Kale responded to her whining with laughter and continued tried to pin her onto the couch by laying back on her as she squirmed and tried to prevent the squishing. Soon he was lightly leaned back against her and she was pretty much wrapped around him for the most part. He blinked a bit as he wiggled and got comfortable.
Huh. It was be nice to Switch day?
Kale blinked a bit and chuckled, "No one told me that it was that day. I would have prepared!" he sighed as if exasperated at himself. "You're a good pillow by the way~."

Switch snuggled against his back for a little while longer, resting her cheek against the back of his shoulder. It was a very rare treat indeed, to be able to play with Kale without the boys around, especially Tek. Stretching out, she pat his face again, but since her hands were now dry, it was more to get the water off of his face. Because she was nice like that. "Well, now you know. It's be nice to Switch day." Chuckling, she headbutted the back of his head lightly, then hugged him closer against her chest. "And thank you~ It's a perk to having them built in." The blue haired woman teased, leaning forward to prove her point, merely because she could. "You're comfortable too." The little cuddle continued for a little longer, but then the point of this day came back to her; fun time with Kale!
Very, very discreetly, she pressed her hands against his back and with an innocent little hum, she started to push at him with as much of her body as she could, trying to push him off the couch...as discreetly as possible.

"Geeze no one tells me anything," he mock-pouted as he continued to lean back on her a bit even as she headbutted him. When she teased him by leaning forward as she spoke he blushed a bit and chuckled, "Well that's an unfair advantage!" Kale replied as he cleared his throat and tried to regain control and composure as she cuddled before suddenly...
He was easily pushed off of the couch because he was distracted, his mind elsewhere. He fell to the ground with a light surprised thump and a small squeak, "Hey!" he laughed to show that he wasn't hurt physically or emotionally, "what's the big idea?!"

"It's the only one I have!" She managed to get out as she tried ever-so-hard to push him off the couch. The thump was followed by a whoop of victory, and after stretching her arms out over her head, she flopped over onto her side, stretching out to claim the entire couch as her own. Switch's Territory, no tresspassing! With a proud keen, she ruffled his hair with her foot, the rest of her body, arms included, was much too busy taking up her couch to harass him.
"There isn't one, I just thought...we never get a day to ourselves, and we could just wing it!" She announced with a dramatic wave of both her arms, her plan created from sheer brilliance. Apparently, she was in an abnormally good mood; but how could she not be? No kids, No Shop, just Kale, and an empty house. "And when was the last time we got to play fight?" Though they weren't quite fighting, it was still mildly out of the ordinary for them as of late.
"Also, the couch is now mine." It was her base now! She was laughing, peering at him through happily arched eyes.

"Selling yourself short~," he said with a small click of his tongue and he moved to try and harass her a bit more even as she moved to ruffle his hair with her foot. He moved to grab at her ankle with a small grin, "you are just asking for trouble aren't you?" Kale asked as he continued to grab for her ankle.
Kale laughed and shook his head, "We always wing it and it is always fun~," he replied as he watched her wave her arms he soon gave up trying to grab at her ankle and stood up and moved to stand over her. "Yes that's what you'd like to think! See you made a mistake. You're mine thus that means I get to sit on you." Kale moved to lightly flop on top of her. If it broke couch then oh well. He wasn't really thinking that far ahead anyways.
Either she'd move or take his weight if he managed to fall on her.

Switch squeaked when he nearly caught her foot, shaking her leg to try and get him to give up on the silly notion of capturing her. It seemed for a bit that she was going to win, but once he started to stand over her, that idea started to flee. Kale was going to do something. He was going to retaliate somehow...oh god how was he going to do it?! Preemptively, Switch held up her arms and lightly lifted her knees, trying to make herself 'spikey' to deter him from taking action against her.
His claim over her was enough to make her pause and blush slightly, looking away for a brief moment. "I didn't make a mi----OHGOD!" She cried out when she realized he was about to flop on her, trying to stop him but utterly failing. After a sharp exhale from the sudden weight, Switch started laughing again, fighting to free her arms from between them to continue to push at him. "Not fair, not fair! You're cheeating! Gettoooooff~" She whined teasingly, making a big fuss over being flopped on.

Obviously nothing deterred him from flopping on her even as she tried to make herself too spiky for him to land on. He grunted as he flopped on her even as she let out a sharp breath because of his weight. He stilled for long enough to make sure she'd be okay before he began to try to stop her from pushing him off of her, "Neverrr~. You never said I had to play fair when you started this," he teased with a bit of laughter in his voice as he tried to grab for her wrist so he could at least pin down one part of her.
If he had caught her blush he didn't see fit to comment on it.
To further distract her he moved to lick at her cheek just to see if he could shock her into stilling and thus giving him a victory over her. Though as with all plans they could totally fall through one way or the other. Not that it mattered, he was having fun!

"Did not!" Switch argued through a giggle, still trying to fight him off but clearly halfheartedly. Her wrist was lost in the war against Kale; poor, fallen comrade. She would avenge it! "I said it was be nice to Switch day!" She clarified, but before she could say anything else or find a new way to fight back minus one arm, he licked her cheek. At least Kale got the reaction he was looking for; she did still for a moment or two, looking incredibly surprised until that light blush came back.
"Eeeeeew..." She teased, lifting her free hand to try and wipe the cheek that he had licked. "Kale germs." It was obvious she was just playing around, but she scrunched up her nose as though it really was gross. Hopefully, he'd understand that she was just fibbing.

"Seems more like 'Switch gets to cheat day' right now," he mock-pouted at her as he tried to pin down her other hand and grinned at her reaction even as she responded 'badly' to his actions. It seemed that he was able to see through her charade and simply stared at her through half-lidded eyes over the rim of his glasses, "Haaaa~! You weren't complaining about my germs the other night!" he teased smugly.
He either was trying to see if he could get her to blush until she exploded or he really didn't notice.
He moved to lick her other cheek and then moved to lick her forehead. Just because he could and to harass her even further, he was really bad at this whole 'Be Nice to Switch Day' thing. Kale didn't seem like he was ready to pause his assault on Switch's person any time soon.

"I'm not cheating! You're the one that pinned me." Returning his mock pout, she tried once more to struggle her wrist free, though it was obvious that it was rather futile at this point. Eyes widening a bit, the blue haired woman grumbled and looked away, nudging Kale's leg with her knee in a mock and very constrained kick. "That...That's different!" She mildly stuttered out, staring up at him now with stubbornly narrowed eyes. "Those were fun germs, these are just gross." Her childish fight back was accompanied by a childish 'blegh' noise, including the forward roll of her tongue out of her mouth.
"Eeeeew stoppit!" Her arguments weren't very valid since she was laughing, using her still free hand to wipe the saliva off of her cheek and forehead while wiping it off on his shirt in between. "You can have it back, I don't want it." She told him innocently, grinning up at him.

"Lies~. I don't recall any such thing," he retorted with a laugh and the 'kick' was enough to nudge his one leg off of the couch but on the other hand it put more of his weight on her with a bit of a light 'oof' in response to the unsettling. Luckily he wasn't licking her at the time otherwise he would have bitten his own tongue rather hard and things could have ended badly. Very badly.
"Fun germs? These germs are fun! They are from the fun of harassing you~," he pointed out cheerfully as he leaned and playfully nipped at her tongue without actually biting it.
He watched as she wiped off the germs onto his shirt and then stared back at her and made a mock expression of hurt, "I..I dunno if I wanna play with you anymore if that's how you feel," Kale sniffed playfully.
