 The sun was high in the sky and the cloud swiftly move back and forth over it. It was a nice spring morning and what was Orion doing? He was taking his only son on a picnic. He had came up with the idea a few days ago and thought today was the prefect time to do it. It was warm and the birds were singing loudly, Orion knew it was the right day for a picnic. He happily bounce on the trail that he was taking. He had the picnic basket wedge between his teeth and his sleeping son on his head. He was getting use to having Prince on his head, as he did it often. It was the prefect spot for the small male. Orion wonder why he was so small. He was just a bit below the average height of a normal female kit. Orion, hope this wouldn't hurt his dear child, small foxes always tend to get in more trouble.
Orion stop every so often to make sure that Prince was sound asleep. He didn't want to be to loud because it would wake him up. Orion had to be a good dad, daddies didn't wake up their child so he had to be quite in every way, even if that meant taking longer to get to the perfect picnic spot. He smiled and gave a light giggle. His son was so cute, just like his sisters. He keep walking while the bright rays of light hit both him and Prince.  Prince, laid soundly asleep on his father's head. He had woke up a bit earlier then his dad for the picnic and he was very tried, so before they even headed out of the house, he was fast asleep. The warm rays of light felted good on his dark blue scales and he gently gave a small purr from the wonderful dream he was having and he continue to dream happily on his father head.

It was daylight, a time for joyous childish notions and antics for the shadow demon. Dashing along the forest dark patches like a ghost, his feet barely touched the ground before he was of gliding through the air again. Slitted eyes, although virtually unmoving to most glanced about with intent....he needed to find a nice spot. Actually, he was quite determined to find one to have his afternoon nap; maybe chew on his star some more and generally use the fading daylight to relax.
Afterall, it had been a busy morning of terrorizing his housemates and he knew he couldn't head back till tempers died down. Oh how Trovalius was so near killing him for drooling all over his precious herbs. His rage however filled the demon with glee, it was all just so priceless.
After running for quite some time he came upon a small hill with a mighty willow growing. Perfect. Ghosting up to the protective shadows of its long tendrils, the gentle mist of 'tears' which fell on his ever moving shadow pelt was nice and refreshing. Pulling out his star from his collar he settled down and began to vigorously chewed, spewing a mixture of golden and ebony ooze along the ground before him.

Orion walked along his path. He wonder when his son would be waking up. It had been awhile since they were out. He smiled happily though. It was nice to see his child sleeping peacefully. Orion wouldn't have know it but Prince clam him down a great bit. Even though he was still hyper active he wasn't as much as he was before he had him.
He gave a small giggle and looked around. It was awfully lonely out here. Did anyone like to take picnics? It was so nice out, why wouldn't anyone want to be out. Walking further into the woods he look around again, catching sight of a dark cloud. He wonder what it could be. Looking again he could resist the temptation and walked over. Seeing a trail of black and gold goo. He giggle and touch it. It was so slimy but felt so good on his paw. Looking up he spotted his friend Hoshi, chewing on his star. He wave and yelled, "Hoshi!!! Orion so glad to see you! Prince and Orion was about to take a picnic! Wanna join?" he said giggling and moving closer to him.
Poor little Prince didn't have no clue what was in store for him. He sleep in a blissful slumber until he hear his dad yell and woke him up. He jump up and gently cling too his dad head in fear. He wasn't sure what was going on and looked around buged-eye. He blink and caught sight of Hoshi and shiver. He was so scary looking and it was a scary to see him right when he woke up. Prince yawn and calm down a bit. Hoshi wasn't a bad fellow it was just that he was a bit scary. Prince seem to like him because his dad also liked him too.

Feeling relaxed as the wind occasionally swept across his tendril like pelt, his ears perked up and head tilted from his star at the shout of a very familliar voice. "Friiieennndd?" He hissed out, before a smirk cracked along the pitch black of his face. He could see the form of Orion and Prince approaching, something about a picnic? He wasn't too sure what a picnic was yet it was always pleasant to see some company from the large dragon and his silent child.
Tucking the star back into his collar for safe keeping he bounded the final distance between his companion and his spot, skidding to a halt as he noticed how nervous the little prince was and sat down, his tail swaying back and forth with a dark elegance.
"Piiicccnniiiiccc? What issssss...?" He breathed out, looking up to the little kitling and cracking a silly looking grin. He really had nothing better to do today, other than nom on his star and wreak prankster havoc on his housements. "Iffffff you'll havvveeeee Hoooshhhiiiiiii..."

Giggling happily that his child was awake he gently said, "Hello there sleepyhead! Orion didn't mean to wake you up, Orion just wanted to say hello to Hoshi" he said with a bright smiled. Smiling even more as his friend yelled out to him, he bounce over rapidly. He was so excited. This might meant that there would be three on their picnic instead of two.
He blink as he asked what it was. "Hoshi doesn't know what a picinc is?" he said astonish. He pause unsure what to say. He never meet anyone that never went on a picnic. He was a bit confused on how to explain it. Orion had never been good at explaining thing so he was going to try his best."Um well you a picnic is something that you go with people and eat yummy food! And you're coming with us because everyone need to go on a picnic. Plus it's fun! Prince and Orion would love you to come with us!" he said with a giant smile.
Prince blink at his father's friend. It was nice of him to stop because Prince was very worried. His father wasn't the smartest of noodles and Hoshi was very rambunctious and Prince was worried that if one didn't stop they would of have collide. Prince gave a hoarse giggle at his friend. He was so silly and made the most silly of faces. Hoshi might of be even as silly as his father. He smiled at the thought. He could see why they was such good friends because they acted so much alike. They both remind him so much of his sister.
Prince blinked. He was just as surprise as his father. Even being as young as he was, he'd been on tons of picnic already. It was his father's fault but he didn't mind it as he enjoy them greatly. smiling at the fellow him made a waving motioning as to motion to tell him to come with them.

Shaking his head slowly, Hoshi had no idea what a picnic was or what he was even supposed to do at one. It didn't help he avoided most of the population and or they did him; being a shadow demon didn't help his popularity any that was for sure. Looking between the two as their dumbfounded expressions seemed to confuse him more; he was sure that not having been on this picnic was a bad thing....for the two dragons seemed shocked.
"Piiccnniiicc......like meeeaalll?" He breathed out, licking about his lips so his drool was brought back into his mouth as he talked. "Hooosshhiiii seeeesss others eeeaaattt alllll the timmeeeee...." Were they all called picnic's? It seemed between the silent kit and his hyperactive father that he wasn't going to get an answer least he follow them and see for himself. "Hooosshhiiiii willlll goooo.....on piiicccnniiiicccc...."
Catching the motion as he looked up to Prince, he then turned and ghosted a few steps away to look across the way from his little hill location. Where was the picnic? He didn't think he could see it from here, as his head craned around to blink back at the pair. "Wheerrreee iiisssss?"

Smiling happily he nodded. He knew that all Hoshi needed was explanation and a chance to have a picnic to enjoy and learn what it was. This was making him o so very happy as he never show anyone what a picnic was before. Mama Faye was there when Prince had his first picnic and explain it to him. So it was now Orion time to show off his big boyness, and teach Hoshi how wonderful a picnic could really be. Smiling he bounce up and down and place Prince right next to Hoshi. "Well there's no fun watching people eat when you can eat with people! Plus if you like watching people eat, you will love this more more more! Orion promise! Orion never breaks promises!" he said with excitement in his voice. Bouncing even more when Hoshi announced that he was going he drop the picnic basket right in front of him. "Ya! Orion and Prince will stay here and when can just have picnic here! Kay Hoshi?" he said with a giant giggle.
Sitting next to Hoshi and she son he began to take out the things they needed for lunch.
Blinking, he tilted his head. Hoshi was a smart fellow, just like his father, but when he said that he watched people eat all time it confused Prince greatly. He wasn't sure if Hoshi understood his dad's explanation of a picnic. But he was glad when he said that he would come because know he would fully understand what it was. He smiled when he was placed down and gently move over to Hoshi to touch his smoke. It amused Prince greatly and he gave out a hoarse giggle at the feeling of it. Smiling he watch his dad take the things out on the basket.

The excitement of Orion was contagious to say the least as the shadow demon could only sit and watch; knowing if he got too bouncy excited like the large dragonkin did he certianly felt he might just scare the little Prince. So he nodded and sat down, looking when the kitling was dropped at his side while Orion set up after taking his own seat.
"Eat......wiiitthhh peeoopplleee?" He breathed out, trying to recall a time he had eaten with anyone only to draw a blank. There wasn't really a set structure in his household, not that Hoshi would have attended a dinner time anyways. Would he slobber all over the food to amuse himself? Of course! This was probably why he was never invited to these kinds of things by said housemates.
Feeling the warmth of the little one, his head turned his head down and dropped to his belly. Flicking his tail around he dropped it over Prince so the little kit could feel its solid form for a few moments; fighting to keep most of his body that way so he could learn and figure things out. That's what kits liked to do right? Explore? "Piiccnniiiccc....hard tooo dooooo?"

Giggling he nodded. "Yes, silly! Eating with people! It's really fun: he said still giggling.Taking out a blanket he tossed it down and went back to getting thing. He took out four sandwiches, a pail of water, a bowl of salad, and package of cookies. Looking over to Hoshi he smiled. "I hope you like what we have. We have lots of things. Even homemade cookies! I made them myself!"he said with utter joy. He hoped that he would like the food because that's all he had. Giggling he shook his head. "Oh no Hoshi! You just eat!" he said bouncing.
Prince smiled. It felt wonderful to be engulf in his tail. Giving a hoarse giggle he smiled and gently nuzzle into his tail. It was warm, soft and fuzzy. He loved every minute of it. Maybe the ghastly ghost-like power made your coat feel better? Prince wasn't sure but he sure did like it. Smiling he played around with his tail a bit more until he smelled the food and look over it. He smiled. He loved cookies and he loved his dad's homemade cookies even more.

"Funnnnnnn..." Hoshi echoed once more, watching as the blanket and food soon followed out as Orion seemed to be enjoying himself. Looking back he drew the same conclusion for Prince who seemed to have a ball in his tail. It was still a lot to absorb, and he was trying his best, but at the same time it was also just as hard to keep his drool from getting on any of their things as he was constantly swallowing it down.
"Hoosshhiiii...noooo done beeeffooorrreee." He admitted with an indifferent look, probably because he assumed it was just for the better and knew not of what he was missing. Looking from all the foods set out infront of him, the demon wasn't sure what he should have...or what he would like. "Coookkkiiiee?" He looked over the food once again as if trying to figure out which one was this 'cookie'.
