She had kept herself busy lately. Making sure that the pack lands were kept clean of riffraff. She'd murder anyone who came too close. She was the protector, or its how she saw herself. The strong female that knew her place. She respected Pen, and almost worshipped the earth she walked upon..Though it was clear that Sophie was no lackey. She had a mind of her own, and a will that no animal or man could break. She just.. Couldnt stand to be demanded around, or told that she was not good enough for something. She strived for her best, and she by god, would do the best.

Her paws graced the lands around her, and crunched into the earth. She lifted an ear, listening to the sounds of the birds that flew from her path. She knew they flew for their lives..If only they knew she preferred something a bit easier to catch.

She yawned, and sat in the shade of the tree that she had found quite appealing. Lying down, she rolled on her back, and began rolling.

Dainty paws took one step after another as the she wolf headed south stream and began to meander along its edge. It was shaping up to be an endless day, one that started slow and as the ebb and flow of time continued the minutes stretched into hours. Seeing as there were not a lot of wolves in the Liens packs lands, Aimee's job as 'sitter', was not only unneeded, it served as a cosmic joke. Only grizzled, bitter adults graced the oasis the pack was stationed in, except for perhaps the black and white wolf, who seemed a little more light hearted then the rest. Aimee had seen this one on sight, but had not the chance to meet her muzzle to muzzle. The others kept out of the way and out of her mind, and their gallant leader was too busy lamenting about his long lost love to care about the likes of her.

So, Aimee spent the day in a solitary state of boredom. She took to exploring, stopping every so often to sniff a clove here, paw at the earth there. It did not do well for understanding of the area, as she had already explored all there was in the pack, but the further away from the lands she crept the more her heart began to beat just a little bit faster. This might be exciting! She knew there was no rule that kept her within the invisible walls Liens was in, but somehow she wasn't sure it was right to go exploring this further out.

Oh well, it was no matter. She doubted her great alpha would notice her absence and the others probably never knew of her presence. Excitedly, she began to pad further and further along the river, not stopping to tread lightly or keep her wits about her.

She simply kept moving.

The smell hit her nose, and her muzzle lifted to the sky to begin sorting the smell out. Someone was coming. She growled a bit, but it quickly edged away as she rolled over quickly to get to her feet. Her ears perked, and she listened. If someone was coming, their scent was much stronger than the noise they were making.

Interest piqued, she began padding towards the bank of the river. She had not been lying too far off, and she had been listening to the soft sounds of it rushing through in its own path that never deviated. The bank was empty, save for the few little animals that scattered at her presence.

"Who needs you anyway, you vermin." She growled at them, flicking her ears back for a moment before perking them again. Now something was coming to her ears.. She could hear pawsteps. They werent in any hurry, and she could tell they were definitely heading straight for her.

"Whose there?" She asked, voice rough from a life of struggle. She sounded the manly type, but her voice still carried that sexy tone that could only come from her. She wasnt sure how she made her voice sound appealing, but she was certainly no brute. Maybe large, rough, and bitter about things. But she was not an unappealing wolf, or she liked to think so anyway..

Aimee did not hear the movement in the forest like she would have had she been paying an ounce of attention. Instead, she was pawing at the rocks, watching intently as the minnows under the waters surface darted this way and that, feeling the tiny little ripples that were sent down below in the after effect. Her eyes darted this way and that until she saw a strange movement on the water's edge. She squinted her eyes, head cocking to the side as she concentrated what she saw below, but no....it wasn't below.

It was somehow behind her and quickly she realized it was the blurred form of another wolf. Quickly, getting back into the here and now she twisted her body around to great the newcomer, but as she did her back leg slipped against the muddied earth and she lost her balance, slipping up to her haunches in the water.

She let out a bark of despair as she jumped out, trying regain her composure.

"Who are you, and where do you come from?" she said, letting out a growl that was still decidedly feminine.

It was not her place to protect the pack, but she knew as sure as she stood there know she would give her life to do just that.

"I am Sophie, though Im sure, that I asked you first." She responded, emphasising on the word you. She did her best to hold her composure, which was rather easy in regards to a pretty female. Of course, had the intruder been a male, she would have torn his throat out before he had spoken the words.
She did not care about males, or who they happened to be. The only good male, was a submissive, weak male.

She looked the female over, and gave a smile. She was indeed pretty, and Sophie was immediantly interested. She gave a chuckle, and a slight wink, before sitting and giving a bored yawn. Yes, this one was pretty, but if she lacked a brain, she was just as bad as any male.

"Now I ask again. Who are you?" She asked, and cocked her head waiting for a response. Soph was one to get to the point. She didnt like open answers... She wanted what she wanted, when she wanted it. You could say she was slightly spoiled..But she only felt that she deserved such a thing.

Aimee did not like the way the other wolf was looking at her. It was not the look that one female should give another, but the kind of leering that a male should bestow upon a female. She stamped her paws into the other before shaking her small frame, sending water droplets every which way. The wolfess was not used to this kind of attention. It was true that males looked at her at the time of mating, but Aimee had never been interested, telling herself that Mr. right would come along, never did she expect a female would be so blatant and disturbing with her.

"I am called Aimee," she said, noting that the other wolf, despite her strange affliction was also bigger then she was. A smart wolf should be wary of what fights one might win, and what fights she might be guaranteed to lose.

In this case she did think she would have the upper hand with one that was almost the size of a fully grown male. "I am near my packlands," she said with a curt nod, "If we shall agree that I am merely passing, I shall return there without a backwards glance..."
