For anyone getting Oblivion for computer, I was wondering if they have any idea what-so-ever of what the requirements are going to be.

I can't seem to get them anywhere, but who knows you may have gotten them somewhere.

That is one problem that 360 users don't have, we don't need to upgarde our computer, we don't need reguirments! xd
It's most likely going to be top of the line stuff!

That's good, we just got a new custom made computer, with the best stuff you can buy, mostly for Oblivion, so that means we'd better be able to play it.

Or I'll be really mad.

Really mad.

*EDIT*

I've been waiting way too long to play, ever since I first saw the first actual picture of it in a PC Gamer magazine (about a 1 inch by 1 inch S.S. of a forest), I'd known about it, but it'd been mostly myth to me, because I hadn't heard much in the magazines.

Trying to watch a video on the computer I'm currently on is worthless, because the dial-up is so slow it'd take hours to load.

But I've got a new PC Gamer that has their 4 Oblivion related article. The first was just that photo and a bit of information. The second had another photo w/ a bit more information. Then they had a bunch of photos with a big description, and this one has a bunch of photos, because one of the guys actually played the game in it's current form.

So I've learned some.

There're some boards on the official forums, and I would assume that an ATI 9800 would be an excellent video card to have while playing it, since most games are supported by the 9600 and 9700. Oblivion isn't "most games", so I assume a 9800 would be good to have.

I have a 9600, got it for Christmas. At the same time, I've got enouch cash in reserve to buy a 9800 if necessary.

I've got a Nvidia GeForce 6600 I'm pretty sure.

So I'm hoping that'll be a-working for Oblivion.

Yeah, all of my friends are console players, but most have computers.

However, whenever they try to speak about said computers, I'll generally end up correcting them 80% of the time, because they don't really know anything about them.

I've heard that the 6600 is pretty good, but Nvidia can't compare to ATI. At least, from what I've seen. Of course, my original Nvidia came integrated with my computer, so it was really crappy. I can't really give you a comparison for lack of information, but I can tell you that the Xtasy 9600 can play some really cool games, with extremely good graphics. So far, I haven't found a single game that I wanted that wasn't supported by it. Of course, I don't mind graphics, as long as they're good, but great graphics always enhance the game. I just want my games for gameplay. Games like Dungeon Siege 2, Black and White 2, and Knights of the Old Republic 2.

How so?

Does he talk about the blatant superiority of computers over consoles constantly?

Because if he does, he and I have quite a bit in common.

I personally believe that consoles are good and acceptable, but if anyone ever tried to tell me they were better than a computer, I'd just have to laugh and prove them wrong.

I like consoles, especially for Multiplayer, I frequently go to and have Halo 2 LAN parties, but as far as I'm concerned, they're not better than computers.

The Nvidia 6600 can run Half Life 2, COD 2, and Battlefront at highest graphics, but since those are all the games I've put on the computer, I can only say that to be able to run Half Life 2 and COD 2, it'll most likely be able to play Oblivion, if not at average graphics, then on lower ones.
