Abyss was having a very bad day so far. She had spent hours scouring the river for shells and while she did find the odd one none were up to her standards of perfection. It was though the river had been picked clean of any items worthy of rebuilding her castle with. Which meant if she wished to do just that she would need to travel further away from this area, perhaps even out of the packs territory completely to acquire what she desired.
Pausing Abyss looked at her reflection sighing a bit. The string of pearls around her head had shifted out of place after dunking her head under water too many times. Giving her head a slight shake she readjusted them as best she could for a moment and just hoped that no one saw her so disheveled. Well back to work, padding forward a bit Abyss went back to doing the only thing she could think of right now, finding more shells, so her eyes were focused on the rivers bed as she continued onward slowly, the water gentle splashing about her legs and stomach.

He was feeling so good today. Nothing could stop him and nothing could touch him. The green eyed pup was invincible and he loved it. Lalita had just escaped from the den while father was fussing with Jaya and trying to get her to go out into the pack to get to know everyone. Lalita was more curious about two certain females. One of them being Oath, and the other being Abyss. That's why he was, currently, actively seeking either of them out.
Oathkeeper, in Lalita's opinion, was a beautiful ghost like female with a good heart. Abyss was a beautiful and cold hearted. He believed, however, he could warm up anyone's heart with how happy and outgoing he was.
He couldn't find Oath today, so he went down towards the river. That's where he knew Abyss to be. And sure enough, there she was! She was in the water, and looking very hard for something. Maybe more shells to decorate herself with? Maybe she was testing to see if the water was still pure? Either way, he wouldn't go into the water. Lalita came to a stop on the bank and barked a little greeting to her.
"Good day, Abyss! 'Cha lookin' for? I could help you!" Sometimes the best things hid in the smallest places. And he was a small puppy, so it only made sense that, if he could, he helped her.

The disappointments of the day were only just beginning to show to her when Abyss heard a tiny bark not far away. It was bad enough that she had to deal with a river that was all but devoid of shells but now one of those blasted pups dared come near her sanctuary. Lifting her head to look upon the small brown pup Abyss could feel her hackles raise. She disliked puppies...no, that wasn't right, she down right hated puppies. They were noisy, messy and just didn't understand that wolves needed their personal space. Having him so close to the water, her water, made Abyss get quite defensive. "Do not come into my sanctuary, you will only dirty it with your filthy little paws!"
Casting a stern look at the pup for a few moments Abyss eventually turned her attention back to the water. She had just seen something of interest when he showed up and now she would need to find it all over again. Ah, there it was. Lowering her head under the waters surface Abyss slowly wrapped her jaws around the object before lifting it up and out of the water. With the object obtained Abyss walked to the shore, the one opposite where the pup stood and gently placed the object down. Blast the shell was cracked, surely the fault of that pup somehow. His mere presence was enough to upset the balance of her sanctuary. "If you wish to help me, then go back to your den and leave me be." Abyss told him rudely as she waded back into the water to look for more shells, preferably unbroken ones this time.

He skidded to a complete halt from fixing to go in to the water and his ears lowered. How could she hog all the water? Water is supposed to be everyone's! Now, Lalita could understand having a spot just for herself, but she claimed all this water. His ears flicked back and forth as he thought of his options. Lalita could leave like Abyss wanted him too, or he could defy her and see how far she's willing to go to get him away. Or, he could talk to her, somehow gain enough enough of her 'trust' to let him play in the shallows, at least.
"Come on, Abyss... don't you get lonely without someone to talk to? You could tell me your problems! I'm all ears for you." He flashed her a childish smile and then practically beamed at the blue female. One day she wouldn't hate him so much! Maybe if he grew up really fast. Maybe that would help? Probably! She seemed to not like small things, and.... since he was a puppy, Lalita knew he was small.
"I can help you look for new shells or something pretty?"
